It actually works well. Worth the money. Was a little skeptical but glad i decided to purchase it after all. It comes with the connect cable and a Dvd to get started.

I was really pleased with this when I first got it. I bought a new laptop not realizing that this is not built into most laptops anymore for some reason. But this was an easy solution. I am rebuilding my music library. So it does involve me using it quite a bit because of all the cds. I have, so burning and ripping a lot of cds. I bought this on december 19th 2023 and noticed, it was not working properly Feb 22nd 2024. So I got a good 2 months of usage. I mean, I was using it quite a bit so I don't know if that's why it stopped working but regardless kind of sucks. And of course, it's past the 30 days so I can't return/exchange it. They're pretty inexpensive so I can just get another but still...

Many new products no longer come with cd/dvd drives. I bought 4 of these at an awesome price. They seem to work well and if they break for some reason they are easily and inexpensively replaced. A no brainer.

For a very cheap external DVD drive this does the trick. With only one usb plug for power and data you avoid the need to take up two ports for power. Write and read speeds have been reliable thus far. For something as cheap as this, you can NOT go wrong

Does the job it needs to do Nothing more to say Linux mounts it as a /dev/sr2 just fine I'm sure Windows will see it fine as well Macintoshs prob will see it too

This is awesome if you don’t have a disc drive, which you probably don’t nowadays on your computer

My new HP Envy x360 purchased at Best Buy in South Bay, Boston does not have a CD/DVD drive, I purchased this LG external drive. It works perfectly and meets my needs.

works well and not super loud. doesnt seem super durable but not planning on bringing everywhere anyway.

I got it on sale for $15 and he does a great job. Most of the time I’m using it to burn audio CD. No issues at all. I wish it can support slower speed when burning CD. The lowest available option is 10 XO.
