I’m using this system with the LG C9 OLED. A great pair.
For space purposes, the setup is in my apartment living room. (20x45). Fills the space with sound easily.
The sound bar produces clear sound and the subwoofer supplies pretty wholesome bass. I’m satisfied with my experience, and I’d buy it again.... actually I did.
I first bought this package in Feb. It worked great until the end of March when it froze during an update. It became unresponsive and would not snap out of it for anything or anyone. I ended up purchasing the same kit (I figured it was just a fluke) and haven’t had any issues! I do intend on getting the other one serviced after COVID - make sure to keep your PAPER receipt. I have my receipts emailed to me but COINCIDENTALLY this purchase never showed up. So keep the paper one somewhere.
Other than that it works great with everything I’ve thrown at it.

I am partiality deaf and this sound bar will run me out of the room. I got this in a bundle and couldn't beat the price. I paired it with the LG 86 in tv and rear speakers. I have a home movie theater in my living room. Sound from a Blue Ray disc is unreal in quality. The bar was easy to pair to the tv and speakers.

This sound system goes great with an LG TV. I bought this shortly after my OLED purchase, because I can't stand TV speakers. Atmos sounds great when it's enabled, but even without it the sound is great. Probably not the best out there, but suitable enough for the average viewer. I have had some issues with the connection, but they're infrequent so not enough to rate these poorly. The one thing that has a hard time working, is that if you have the system connected via ARC (this is the only way to enable Atmos) then the Google Assistant won't work. It's a bummer, but I hardly used it before, so it's not a deal breaker for me.

We bought this for two reasons: to replace a stereo system we never used anymore and to make dialogue on TV more understandable. With movies these days the sound is recorded so hot for special effects that to make it bearable to watch, you have to turn it down till you can't make out the words. More and more we found ourselves using the closed captions, but I didn't want to do that as often. The clarity of this soundbar/subwoofer combo makes that possible. And it provides excellent reproduction as a source for just music. Having Google Assistant built in means we made it part of our Google Home so we can get full-house listening by grouping it with our other devices.

This was recommended by the sales rep over the cheaper version. I am not sure what the cheaper version would have sounded like, but this soundbar and subwoofer are amazing. I have it in my living room, mounted above the mantel with cathedral ceilings and you litterally think there are things moving behind you, even though I don't have any rear speakers. Truly amazing.

Really loving my LG SL8YG 3.1.2 Channel Soundbar. The sound quality is amazing and set up was a breeze. I opened the package and was able to start listening to music on the soundbar within 10 minutes. The sound is crisp and clear and somehow it encompasses my whole family room. I also added 2 LG surround sound speakers to give it a 5.1 surround feel. The wireless surround speakers linked to the soundbar with ease. Google assistant is also a great addition. I can catch up on the news or listen to a song with ease. Watching movies has also been a wonderful experience. The subwoofer really packs a punch without overpowering the vocals like so many other systems do. Overall I definitely would recommend this soundbar to anyone looking for a medium sized room sound system. It puts out a high quality theater sound and it's sleek design is very stylish.

Good sound bar with lots of power, only disappointment is that the sound doesn’t sync with the picture when using the Bluetooth connection.

I had just purchased an LG OLED TV and the promo was to combo a sound bar for extra savings. Opted for the next to lower range since most standard speakers on TV are just standard. Sound quality is good and also supports Google Assist/Home.

i can honestly say that I am shocked at the sound quality and ease of use of this device. for a 49 in bar it fills the whole house. It delivers a true cinematic experience, and has rear speakers to add to make it a 5.1.2
the complaints about the sub cutting out has to do with the dolby atmos algorithm then the sub just cutting off.

I ended up returning this sound bar and subwoofer combo. I tested it alongside the 2019 Nakamichi 7.1.4 PRO SSE and the Nakamichi was by far superior in bass, volume and general sound fullness. But the Nakamichi has no Wi-Fi capability, no Google Assistant and has an annoying audio delay every time you switch sound sources or even pause and resume a movie streaming from Netflix. I have now ordered the SL10YG and will see how its power and bass level compare to the Nakamichi.

We've really enjoyed this sound speaker. I would actually recommend you connect it to your LG TV via a wire and not just via bluetooth. When we use the bluetooth feature, which is cool, there tends to be a slight delay with the sound. This can be somewhat annoying at times but I imagine is common with a lot of sound bars. Otherwise, the sound quality is a big step up from your normal TV.

We bought this to replace a Vizio SB36512-F6 which was very problematic for us. It was a good sound bar but not what we really wanted. We ended up buying a much more expensive soundbar,
I really can't say anything bad about this soundbar. It worked right out of the box and we never really had any problems with it or the wireless back speaker kit we bought with it.
