My new go-to for general cleaning

I will start off by saying that I was no stranger to this brand of vacuum. I think LG does a great job at figuring out what consumers want in their vacuums. There are still some things they can work on, but overall great products. The very first thing i noticed is how light the vacuum is. This makes it very easy to tote it around the house, up and down stairs, and vacuuming above my head, getting cobwebs in what normally would be hard to reach spots. The battery power is not super impressive but is enough of a charge for me to do general vacuuming around the house. If I want to do heavy duty cleaning on "max" I have to switch the battery out for the other one after a short amount of time. But the good thing about LG is that they planned for it. While you are using the vacuum, there is another spot for a spare battery to charge, so you don't have to wait around. You can just switch them out really quickly. The cannister is filtered well. Its not a large cannister but it does the trick for what I need. The attachments are nice too. I used the pet hair attachment and it got most of the dog hair on our sofa and rug. The other attachments do their job as well. Overally I like how well this cleans and how light it is. I think its a great choice for apartment dwellers and for people that are looking for the daily maintenance floor care. I wouldnt recommend it if you are looking strictly for a deep clean machine. It just doesn't have the power like a wired vacuum does.

I was looking for a cordless vacuum to make doing chores easier and maybe better. This LG is lightweight but the suction power leaves a lot to be desired even on the Turbo level. On carpet it seems to pick up better than on my hard woods. I do love that it comes with 2 batteries and the charge lasts for a long time between uses. It collapses easily and I really like that it doesn’t take much space to store it. I keep it in my pantry for easy access to my kitchen. The vacuum is fairly quiet as far as comparison to other push vacuums I’ve owned. It is easy to maintain with removable and washable filters and easy container clean out. You can easily convert to a handheld vacuum for quick and easy spot cleaning of hard-to-reach places….a great feature! Attach the crevice tool and it can work great as a car vacuum getting into all those tough to reach areas. My favorite thing is that the vacuum am go under my beds and sofas with ease and no cord to fight with! Overall I’m pleased-just wish it had more suction power!

I never knew I needed a cordless vacuum until I got one! I was excited for the convenience of not needing to navigate my home with the cord attached to the wall, but this vacuum is powerful as well. My daughter and I both have extremely long hair that sheds and this picks it up easily. so far I havent had issues with it getting tangled and clogging the vacuum, so I have hope this will last. This replaces both my full size upright and my small handheld type vacuum. Its so easy to just grab and vacuum up small messes and return it to its base. It's not unduly loud and battery life seems fine. I have a fairly small (1200 sq ft) home, so I'm not sure how it would work for a larger house, but for my needs its fine. My only complaint, and its a small one, is the need to keep the base plugged in and have the vacuum stored by an outlet. I generally keep my vacuum stored away in the closet, but this one has to be stored near an outlet and I feel it's a bit of an eyesore. Its a small complaint, but it's something to think about if you dont want to leave your appliances out in the open.

Would not purchase again. I recommend to spend the extra money and buy a better cleaner. The suction on this cleaner isn’t powerful enough and you have to constantly go over the same spot to pick up debris. Battery life isn’t very good so it is handy to have the extra battery. If I could return this cleaner I would.

Two Batteries Should Be The New Standard

We love the LG CordZero vacuum cleaner. It is lightweight and versatile enough to be used anywhere that needs cleaning, whether it’s floors, upholstery, drapes, or auto interiors. Unboxing – Don’t Panic. There are a lot of parts! Do not let the initial impression concern you. It looks overwhelming. Follow the instructions step by step, and assembly is a breeze. The only hard part was choosing configuration of the charge station. Charge station configuration choices include self-standing, wall mount, and compact. I appreciate the function and simplicity of the self-standing charging configuration. This vertical storage arrangement allows minimal footprint while avoiding the permanence of a wall mount. My wife says it’ll be nice to be able to relocate the stand if/when she decides to move furniture. The LG CordZero ships with two batteries, and the charging station allows for both batteries to be charged, one installed in the vacuum, the other residing in a recess within the charging station. The batteries can only be installed in one direction, and it is impossible to do it incorrectly. Full charge takes as long as 4 hours per battery (8 hrs total) with the vacuum charging first followed by the battery in the base station. Vacuum run times vary pretty broadly. In default cleaning mode, I vacuumed the whole first floor – seven rooms with a mix of carpet and vinyl flooring – and the battery was still going strong after about 30 minutes. About halfway up the carpeted stairs, I got the low battery blink. The second battery permitted cleaning to continue uninterrupted through the remainder of the house. The removable extension pipe makes emptying the dust bin as easy as holding the vacuum over your trash can and pressing the cover release. A little shake is all I needed to clear the contents. Power and vacuum speed are easily controlled via three thumb-operated buttons on the handle. Power on/off is self-explanatory. The vacuum suction power can be easily adjusted by a push of the thumb on the handle’s “+” and “-“ controls. Choosing higher vacuum power yields impressive cleaning results. In my car, the CordZero in Turbo mode easily picked up rock salt and debris from textured floor mats. Of course, higher motor speed means reduced runtime. I exhausted a full battery in 6-7 minutes. Good thing there’s the backup! Speaking of cleaning the car, the included accessories make reaching into the tight spaces effortless. I’m really impressed by the light weight and flexible configuration choices. There is convenient tool storage on the underside of the charging stand. Ergonomics – I’m 6’ 3”, my wife is 5’ 1”, and the telescoping extension pipe makes the LG CordZero comfortable for both of us to use while vacuuming floors. - Performance on solid-surface flooring is excellent. From unpopped popcorn kernels to flour, the CordZero has no problems picking it up. Even along baseboards, performance is impressive. - Performance on carpet is just as impressive where it makes short work of miscellaneous debris and leaves behind those parallel lines that I’ve come to recognize as freshly vacuumed carpeting. - Pet hair on furniture comes right off, and I haven’t had any issues with hair wrapping/tangling on the beater brush. The beater brush can easily be removed for cleaning, if needed. One time I did have to clear a clog in the vacuum. A dried houseplant leaf caused a blockage in the vacuum head just past the extension pipe connection. Clearing the blockage was a breeze after removing the cyclonic mesh filter. Disassembly/reassembly were simple and intuitive. I’m impressed with the way the filters and cyclonic mesh filter are removable and washable by rinsing with plain tap water. I appreciate washable filters. There’s less going in our trash, long term I expect a lower maintenance cost, and it will be easier to maintain peak performance. We’re very happy with the LG CordZero.

    Great cordless vac

I have to admit I was a little skeptical about this vacuum when I unpacked it. It is super lightweight and I thought it might be a little flimsy. That was not the case, it’s well made, the attachments are built with care, and I’ve found it to be very useful. We have a 50 year old house that has mostly hardwood and vinyl floors. Super dusty and the two cats make it more of a challenge for any vacuum. The standard roller attachment works great on hard floors and low pile rugs. It works better than my other cordless vac, which is not terribly old. The furniture pet attachment is excellent, it’s able to pull fur out of my most difficult fabrics and leaves it looking neat and tidy. The roller attachment is not terribly good for wall to wall, higher pile carpets, it can not get in to the fibers very well. It is fine for surface cleanup on higher pile carpet, but I would not count on it to thoroughly clean it over the long term. Suction is very good, the standard setting is right on the edge of being useful, but I hit the little “+” button and the medium setting does great sucking stuff off the bare floors. I found the high setting by holding the “+” button for 5 seconds (not 3), and it’s very powerful, but ridiculously loud. Dumping the dust collector is as simple as hitting the switch and shaking for most stuff. The silver cyclone filter is easy to remove for cleaning, they’ve notched the angle spot tool to act as a sort of giant screwdriver to remove the cyclone piece, but I found it’ just as easy to pull it and replace it in the canister by hand, if a bit dustier. Well thought out. The stand is pretty cool, it has a charger in it for the extra battery, and after just a little practice, it’s easy to mindlessly pull the vac off and remount it on the charging stand. It stands on it’s own just fine, I have not found a need to mount it to the wall, but LG included a few mounting options, very thoughtful. The one complaint I have about it is there are only two storage points for attachments, so I’ve got another free floating attachment to add to my collection. Overall, I would recommend this little guy, it is going to make keeping the house tidy a fair bit easier, and it looks nice when I’m not using it. The thoughtful touches may not be ground-breaking, but all combined, it makes this a pleasant and effective vac!

The LG CordZero A9 is an impressive, well thought out product. From the extending wand to the extra battery that is stored and charged in the stand, which also charges the vacuum, to the removeable and washable filters (not to mention the extra filter that is included), it's obvious that a lot of thought went into the design of this stick vacuum. But features alone do not necessarily make for a great product. So, does it work well? I'm happy to offer up a resounding yes. Upon turning it on, you might be lulled into thinking this vacuum lacks suction. But don't let the absence of noise fool you. While the A9 is quiet, suction is excellent and the powered head picks up pretty much anything that gets in its way. And for the times when additional power is needed, turbo mode is available. Battery life takes a hit in turbo mode, but under normal use battery life is good, especially considering 2 batteries are included. The only gripe I have, and it's a minor one, is that when you empty the dust bin, most everything comes out, but pet hair often gets stuck and has to be removed by hand. It's not hard to remove the cone to get everything out of the bin, but it requires getting your hands dirty. I highly recommend the LG CordZero A9 Stick Vacuum. It is light, has great suction, and stores away in a well-designed stand.
