Bought for my in laws, needed something that was easy to operate, fit on their shelf and had a remote. This unit fit the bill, in fact very few buttons on face everything is controlled by remote. Purchased HDMI cable for quick hook up. Works well for them.

Bought this because I had some CD's that would not play on my other unit. This one plays them just fine. The sound quality is superb and the picture quality is superb. Setup was easy--just connected the cables and it worked! A free downloadable manual is available on the LG website--worth getting as it explains the complete use of the remote with it's many butons.

Of course, what DVD player breaks the bank now-a-days. Looked at our DVD collection and was thinking of either purchasing digital duplicates for cloud access, or converting an existing or purchasing a new computer to make a media center. Cheaper to buy this DVD player that allows me to watch Christmas Vacation along with other holiday favorites. Easy to use remote, and I was able to add the DVD to my all-in-one remote. Nice picture and quiet.

This is a very easy to use and straight forward player. Good quality and my favorite option is that you can use either the RCA jacks or an HDMI cable depending what options on your TV. Awesome.

I had no trouble setting this up and using it. It works well for DVDs and photo CDs. It replaced a DVD player I bought in 2011 and this new one is smaller, lighter, and cheaper than the old one!

It's a very good player for the money. I have a stereo sound system that's not connected correctly to my main television and I couldn't watch a movie I rented from the library (yes, some of us still do that). I had a VERY old dvd player that stopped working because the door would not open (even by pushing the buttons on the machine itself, not just on the remote). So, I had no way to watch the movie. This was a good value and does exactly what I needed it to do, and it was small enough that I could hook it up in my bedroom without taking up valuable dresser-top space.

Very easy to set up with my Samsung TV. I only need a very basic, inexpensive DVD player for those movies I still own. This is compact, plays well. Serves the purpose.

Exactly what I was looking for! A basic, affordable DVD player with all the required functionality. Nice small size fits perfectly within the component shelf and set-up took all of 6 minutes. Comprehensive remote control. Bought online and picked up in the store made the transaction quick and painless.

Needed a replacement DVD player to replace an older one that had a very sticky tray and complex electronics. It was a BlueRay player and I decided I only had a couple of BlueRay discs and lots of standard DVD discs which this player plays very well. Am very happy with that primary function. I VERY pleased also with the USB audio recording function. I have many audio CDs and now my Honda CRV doesn't have a CD player but it has several USB outlets that feed the sound system. But how do you transfer those CDs to USB? This unit does it automatically. Makes beautiful sounding DVDs in the mp3 file format. Great idea and this is the only player that has it. Best Buy's price was right on!

Living close to the beach, nothing, especially electronics, lasts for very long. For some reason, the drawers on two of my CD drives stopped within moments of each other. I ordered online and had two new ones the next day. I never expect that level of service, but I'm sure not complaining!! On top of that, both were easy to install and use. AND, they sound great. Nothing is wrong with this picture! Mahalo!

This was a perfect purchase for me. All I wanted was a simple 1080 dvd with hdmi output. This one ended up being perfect. No menus to navigate through except what’s on the dvd you are playing. I am not a big fan of all the extras that come on the big ticket players. It also integrated perfectly with the LG tv it was connected to...and the remote works on both right out of the box. Couldn’t be happier.

Already a fan of the LG brand for dependability. Hooked it up to our sound bar...great sound, great picture quality, & takes up very little space. Can't beat the price.

For $40.00 it is a great value...remote came with batteries and the audio & video cables that came with it work great as well. I notice that it even plays back a DVD disc that other players I had would no longer play due to the inferior quality of the dual sided disc.....I've only had this player a month....so want to see how well it is functioning after more use, but it is excellent so far.

This unit is very simple--simple enough that you can put in a CD to play without punching all sorts of buttons or waiting until an under-powered processor decided which button you have pushed. It beats out the similar appearance Sony for time to first sound. I have not tried the player for DVDs, as I have it attached to a traditional two channel stereo system. I have played a few traditional jazz CDs, and a handful of pipe organ recordings. The player did a grand job for both sorts of music--heavy percussion and long, low notes.

I was completely surprised by this DVD player, I like the functionality , I am able to watch my favorite TV Shows or Movies comes with a very usable remote control that can also be used to for the television as well. For the price I paid was excellent especially since it was on sale. The capability to see 4K requires HDMI cable.

Excellent inexpensive choice for a basic DVD player to hook up with TV. The install was easy, though directions not clear how to get the TV to "talk" to the DVD player. Once that problem is solved, the device works beautifully with unit remote. Small, attractive light weight black case, perhaps not the best choice if heavy use anticipated, but perfect for occasional non-complicated DVD viewing.
