This is more of a basic laptop than a high-end laptop. Its’ 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD allowed for quick boot ups. The amount of RAM that comes with it should help with using Co-Pilot if you are so incline to do so. The graphics and sound were decent and having Microsoft Teams video meetings were not a problem for the laptop. I was able to use it for two days of work without having it plugged in and still had some battery life remaining. All in all, it does what it supposed to do and that’s all there really is to say about it. The laptop is relatively light and thin, so it is easy to carry around. One thing I really appreciated was that the charger is via usb-c cable connected to a 65w wall charger. No more carrying heavy charging bricks. These slim features also result in the laptop not having an optical drive. That is okay but I would have expected at least a SD card reader but that too is a missing feature. Still, I believe the laptop is good for everyday use as these missing features is an annoyance but not a deal breaker in my opinion.

For this price the keyboard should be backlit. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this computer.

I have approximately half a dozen laptops for various functions (media, gaming, work) ranging from 14 inches to 17 inches. This laptop almost checks off all the boxes as my daily go to for everything. It is a good size at 17 inches and is extremely light weight (under four pounds). It came with 1 TB of storage, 32 GB of memory and has Intel ARC graphics. This has plenty of storage, even after syncing up with my work computer. So far, I have thrown media streaming and light online gaming at this simultaneously without a hitch. I love the screen size and that it is touch screen, but this brings me to my couple of quirks or wants. I wish the screen was not IPS, as in low light and dark, the screen is amazing and looks great. In a well lit room, blacks become dark gray and sometimes it can be hard to see. The matte for light reflection reduction does ok. Second, the keyboard is not back lit, or I couldn't figure out how to turn it on. Finally, the WIFI. I reset the laptop twice just to make sure I wasn't missing this. I run WIFI7 in my home, but I also have the three bands separated out for testing. I was not able to see my WIFI6e band no matter what I did, including doing all the recommended Intel updates. BUT, during testing, I saw that this laptop was running on WIFI7 as MLO showed up so I know the laptop was recognizing all three bands. It is fast and I was able to max out my speeds. Overall, I would give this a 4.5 and it checks almost every box for a great every day go to laptop! Oh, the battery life is great! I can get almost a full day on a single charge!

The keyboard position should be improved. The keys are not upto the mark.

The LG Gram 17 is an extremely thin and light 17 inch laptop that performs very well with its Core Ultra 7 Series 2 processor and Intel ARC graphics. It is by far the lightest 17 inch laptop that I have ever used and because of this and its excellent battery life and large screen capable of easily displaying two windows side by side, and its full keyboard with number pad, it serves well as a travel laptop without any other accessories. The Gram 17 is actually lighter than my 14 inch ultra portable and my wife's MacBook Air. To achieve this weight reduction, LG used magnesium with nano carbon material that feels somewhat like plastic but is very rigid and does not flex. In day to day use, the Gram 17 got well over 12 hours of battery use when surfing the internet, playing youtube videos, and doing other fairly light duty tasks. When performing more heavy duty tasks such as 3D modeling and 3D print slicing, the Gram 17 was still able to last a whole day. The Core ultra 7 processor, ARC graphics, fast 1TB SSD, and 32GB of memory ran all tasks quickly and without any slowdowns. The screen is bright, non OLED, and has a resolution of 2560x1600. The Gram 17 is also a Co-Pilot laptop. This seems to be in its fairly early stages and each person can judge its current usefulness. I find it to be somewhat of a novelty. LG also has some apps such as LG Gram Link that can be very useful. In summary, the LG Gram 17 is a one of a kind laptop, a 17 inch that is extremely portable and that can handle fairly intensive workloads.

When 1st opened, the keyboard does not want to work. The computer must be rebooted and then it works.
