It takes very short time to cook different types of veggies, such as carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, eggplants, corn, etc. Also, I can make almost perfect poached eggs!

This is not a top-of-the-line microwave so don't think that it has all the buttons that will automatically do everything you want. But if you need a microwave with a small footprint, this is the perfect choice. Read the directions, It will save you time.

Most of those quirks you will get used to as time passes. For example, I am used to having to open the door to set the timer, Although I can set the amount of cooking time at high maximum output by just pressing a button on the door. The one quirk that most disturbs me is that LG did not shield the microwave sufficiently and everytime we use it it lets out massive WiFi interference throughout the house at the 2.4GHz waveband. Although our router also has the 5GHz waveband, that band is less efficient in our situation since it does not go through floors or walls as well as 2.4GHz. If you live in a smaller space and share walls with neighbors, this may be an issue for them as well.
