This is far beyond my expectations. This microwave works really great! Heats up food fast, clean/sleek design, easy to clean! Plus, it doesn’t have that noisy sound! And it also has this cute sound when you’re done heating up your food. Very good size for small counter.

We love this microwave! It replaces a behemoth of a microwave that had all sorts of power but this one seems to heat things up just the same. It has a nice compact footprint and is just big enough to fit one of our dinner plates. We’ve found that the inverter technology is as advertised, it reheats/defrosts evenly without cooking the edges. And it is quiet. We can barely hear it running. Do we miss the numeric keypad? Not really. We found with our old microwave we mostly used the :30 second quick start function anyway, so there is not much difference with this one. Another common complaint with this is the chimes it makes when it finishes cooking. We own a LG range which makes similar sounds when it preheats and when the timer completes, so I guess we were used to it. It’s definitely different than your standard beep, but it is not an unpleasant sound.

We have been very pleased with this purchase. It has an appealing sleek appearance, performs efficiently, and is easy to use. It does not take up too much space, which was a requirement for us. The little tune it plays to let you know that the programmed time is complete still makes me smile.

i love this microwave!! If you are looking for a small unit that does the basics....this is it. It is very easy to use. It has very clean, modern lines. The music it plays is great, not bothersome as some say. It lasts 3 -4 seconds. I am very happy with this purchase.

Like it. Cooks fast. Looks really modern and like how there’s two levels of button. The outer for real quick stuff (increments of 10 sec and 30. You can also add 10 to a 30 or vice versa. Rally nice and intuitive to heat the right time. And the inner (on the surface after you open the door) with plenty of settings. This one is a smaller one, so it looks really cute. If you have a wet microfiber cleaning towel a quick wipe down makes takes finger prints off quick and easy.

I've been using the microwave for many months now and so far I have no complaints! It's really easy to use and I like the little jingle at the end. Older microwaves would just beep really loud at you and it was very annoying. I also like that I can just swipe my finger on the front panel to add time faster than tapping a bunch of time. You can however also tap it to make finer adjustments. I also enjoy the style of the microwave.

This replaces our old kitchen microwave that failed. We wanted one a little smaller that would compliment our kitchen decor. Was concerned about not being able to enter an exact cook time; how to do that on this LG is a little different, but easy and quick. Not an issue at all. And the happy tune to signal my coffee is hot? Also, no problem. Sounds like a few bars from “Winchester Cathedral” ... And those few tones I think are no worse than the beeps most microwaves have. Power seems more than adequate, and at least as good as our former, larger one. The only thing we can’t address is long term reliability, but we are very happy with our purchase.

This is a great little microwave. Small enough to fit inside a cabinet on a shelf, and the cabinet door closes flush. Heats up quicker than our previous 15 year old small one. Nice little chimes when time is done. Perfect little small on for our needs.

This microwave is quiet and does not have the loud door closure that other models do. It also fits in neatly with our kitchen and does not take up a lot of space. The heating of food and drink is very efficient. I consider this purchase a very good one. I would recommend it to Consumer Reports.

I had a Sharp microwave for over 20 years. It was time to replace it. I do not use a microwave for cooking, only heating up leftovers or making popcorn, I have a small kitchen so this was the perfect size and power. I like the little beeps and sounds the microwave makes. I know some people say they are annoying. Overall it is perfect for my needs and great looking as well. Got in on sale for $99.99. Regular price was $160, so I feel like I got a great deal as well.

We bought this microwave to replace an old, larger, more powerful unit. The main reason was to get a smaller footprint on the kitchen counter. This microwave does have a small footprint, and a number of desirable features. The interior of the microwave has a hard shiny finish that should be easy to clean. Older microwave ovens often had a plastic liner that eventually discolors. The controls on this unit are unconventional and, while not dysfunctional, not always convenient. The lack of a numeric keypad can result in having to press a key multiple times to reach a function. As an example cooking oatmeal require pressing the auto cook button five times followed by the start button twice. Reheating coffee requires pressing start three times. This microwave is significantly less powerful than the unit it is replacing (1300W) I used to reheat a cup of coffee in 60 seconds. This microwave requires 90 seconds to reheat the same size cup of coffee. It also doesn't do as good a job on popcorn. There is a larger number of unpopped kernels than we were used to. I do have to add that it is less likely to scorch popcorn as well. I had to get rid of my square bacon plate because the smaller chamber size couldn't accommodate the corners. It will accommodate a normal dinner plate, but I now cook bacon in a conventional oven. An ergonomic problem with this microwave is that the feet on it don't have enough grip on a granite countertop to keep it from moving when I open and close the door. It is a small issue, the unit only moves a small distance when the door is pulled open. I can add some rubber non-skid pads to it, but I shouldn't have to. On the plus side, this microwave is quiet, attractive and has a small footprint. The Engineer in me says that function should always trump cosmetics. In this case it doesn't.

    Little Microwave that Could

Great little countertop microwave. We recently had an expensive wall-mounted, fancy unit that died a premature death. This little guy does such a better job. Also, it notifies you that the task is complete with a pleasant ring, and doesn’t insist upon itself.

I’ve had this a little while now and I have to say we couldn’t be more happy with it. I wanted something smaller so this appealed to me. I was a little worried it would be too small but full size dinner plates and large bowls fit in it nicely. It’s user friendly, high quality and performs perfect. I recommend.

This microwave is exactly what I was looking for. It is very user friendly, just the right size for our use. I like the slider on the front to increase the time. It is also very sharp looking. It has just the right amount of auto buttons. It is high tech but not too high tech. I have other LG appliances and have always been satisfied with the quality and features.

For those looking for a modern and small convenient microwave without having to take up tremendous amount of room- this is it. The button pad (i.e, Auto cook, reheat, defrost, timer, etc) is on the inside of the door- right under the clock display. You can also adjust the timer (- or +) with the door closed. After reviewing all the competitors this is hands down no brainer; if you're looking for something that is quiet, small/medium and modern looking. The best part it has various tunes it plays when it's done heating.
