The projector is fine, but when we opened the box it had clearly opened and returned. This was a gift . When the person received it , they noted the internal packaging was damaged and opened. When they plugged it in, it was signed in to previous customers accounts. This product was not sold or advertised as an open box buy. It even had dirty hand prints on it !

This is my first projector and I am happy with it. I have never owned other projector so can't comment on how it performs compared to other product. For 600 lumen I expected it to be a lot less brighter but the brightness has exceeded my expectation. I think I didn't know how bright 600lumen can be. But still you need to control the lights to enjoy this projector but no need of Complete darkness this projector can be enjoyed even with Semi darkness which can be easily achieved with thick curtains and blinds. I got blackout curtains from local store and this projector is now ready to work even during day time. It's not super expensive so just keep it as your second TV or for movie night. You can put it on table or bed and project on front wall.It won't disappoint if you keep right expectation. I got it On discount in Bestbuy. Pros: 1. Smart Projector- few apps like YouTube, netflix and Hulu 2. Vertical Keystone 3. Full HD 4.TV tuner and lot of connectivity options 5. HDMI ARC 6. Small footprint and very light and hence very easy to set up using camera or mobile tripod or to move it around. Cons: 1. Important apps like Sling, Amazon prime missing 2. Most annoying is no backlit Remote. Just think about it, this is 600 lumen projector so you need semi or complete dark room and hence I feel backlit remote is a must 3. No lens cover

Really nice mini projector. Picture is nice and sharp. Onboard audio speaker is very soft, but it pairs well with my surround system. Biggest issue I have is it’s weak App Store. Nothing really worth it. Netflix, yeah... but everything has Netflix. My shoes have Netflix I think! This needs Vudu, or some other library. Once hooked up to my appletv, it was beautiful! You need as minimum light as possible for it to work best. Any ambient light drowns out the picture. Absolutely worth the money, though, when you compare this to a lot of the “en vogue” mini projectors. Tons of inputs, all the dts/digital audio options, and fantastic image. A+++

Video Projectors have been around a very time, I remember using one back in the 80's that was the size of a washing machine, had three large projector lenses for red, green and blue. The quality of those older systems were terrible, and it's not really fair to compare. The point here is that projectors have been around for years, and are definitely here to stay. The LG PF50KA is a huge leap forward in quality and capability, and I'm blown away by it's performance! I'm not going to bore you with all the technical details on this system, if you are like I am - you've already done your research which brought you to this projector. I hooked mine up quickly without any difficulty (I didn't even consult the manual initially). I happen to have a projection screen, back from the day when I used it to show 35mm slides (I know, I'm old...). The screen surface is perfect for projecting on, and displays amazingly bright and crisp video reproduction. A screen like this is also recommended if you plan on using the projector during daylight hours. No projector will provide the same quality in daylight, in a bright room as a typical TV set would. That's why movie theaters are dark! It's in a dark room that this projector shines (no pun intended). Besides the insanely good picture quality, LG also packed it full of great features! There are full plethora of APPS built-in, which you'd expect (NetFlix, YouTube, Hulu, etc.). I found each of the apps to perform perfectly well, with no lag or hesitation. I also plugged my FireStick in one of the two HDMI ports on the back, and it performed like a champ too. HD video content was awesome, with little to no banding noticeable. A huge benefit that this projector has over my 65" TV is that there are no viewing angle issues. You can sit anywhere in the room and see the same quality that you would sitting straight on. I really loved all of the ports provided in this projector, that allow you every conceivable way to input video. It even has a coaxial connector, which made me nostalgic since cable seems to be fading away in favor of streaming. I had a ball playing with this thing, trying out all of its cool features. I highly recommend taking the time to read the user's guide, and trying out everything before you mount the projector permanently. Although you really shouldn't mount this permanently anyhow since this mighty mini can run on it's built-in battery for up to 2 1/2 hours! I'm definitely planning on taking this on vacation with us, which should be fun! It's difficult to find any faults with the projector, since what's most important to me is the quality of the picture displayed. It is superb! I will say that the remote control isn't my favorite part of the projector. It took a bit of getting used to, and I really wish it was back lit. I don't know why manufacturers don't do this as a normal feature. The room is dark - how does one see the buttons? Seems like an obvious thing... The Setup initially on the projector is super simple, it walks you through step by step - and is completed in no time. I chuckled a little when it referred to the remote control included, and showed a graphic of a different remote control. LG needs to proof this, and clean that up along with its User's Guide. The guide is just "okay", I've struggled through much worse. I also wish there was more options in the Setup and Configurations menu. I suspect they don't add more settings on purpose as this unit is targeted at the typical family buyer. The less things to 'tweak', the better off the end user will be. This is exactly what Apple does too by the way, with its own products. Ultimately I connected my XBox One S via an HDMI cable, connected wireless to my home WiFi, and Bluetooth sound out to my AV Receiver. I watched Planet Earth 4K Blu-Ray and cranked the audio. It was amazing! I also watched Soccer and Nascar live - and the video was crisp and fluid. Really, really nice! I plan on doing more reviews on this unit as time goes on. It's capable of projecting up to 100 inches! I will have to clear a wall for that, but it'll be worth it! For now my 70" Da-Lite screen is just fine, actually it's incredible. Family movie night is forever changed and upgraded! If you are considering a projector for the home, for movies, for displaying photos, for streaming videos, for playing Xbox or PS4 video games on - get this unit! You will not be disappointed! You can spend more money on other projectors, but this one is a steal at twice the cost! I'm very choosy when it comes to electronics, and I don't hesitate returning something that doesn't impress me. This one made the grade, and it's definitely a keeper! Good job LG!

LG has developed a fantastic portable projector here. The initial setup is a breeze, I plugged in the unit to let it charge, then fired it up. It walks you through the process of connecting it to a wireless network, and setting up the tuner should you want to use it. A neat feature is that it uses a voice to read you the menu options you are on, for use by anyone who is visually impaired. The navigation and focus buttons on the top are very easy to use for adjusting the picture and volume. The device also has a little center pad on the bottom that can be screwed in or out to adjust elevation and angle. The built in menu system is intuitive but very basic - you can see the inputs and apps along the bottom of the screen and you select the app or input you want to use. I was able to setup my Netflix account, as well as browse Youtube via the built in apps and they worked just fine. I did find that you need to make sure the remote is pointed directly at the projector for it to work reliably - but it was very simple to navigate. As for hook up to external devices, I plugged my laptop into the HDMI port, and it worked just as you would hope. My favorite part though was when I took my chromecast, and roku stick, and plugged them into the HDMI/USB port. I was concerned if it would power the device or not - and it did! I was able to stream from my phone, my tablet, or my chrome browser right to the device - just like I would my TV. The fact that I can hook up a smart stick to it, really makes it a go anywhere device for me as I can stream anything that I normally would to my TV right off of my phone or tablet! The most important thing here is Picture Quality - and it is fantastic. I have included two pictures of it in use - The first is just it projecting onto a kitchen wall in a dim but reasonably lit room, and you can see it has deep colors and is full 1080p. Second I brought it into my basement, and projected it onto the wall - I hope the picture does it justice because even at that size it looked great - It produces decent sound - the volume is respectable, but its speakers are small, and do not produce any sort of bass. I was pleased with how well it performed on its own, and in a small setting would be just fine, but it is not going to produce a deep movie quality sound. - I was able to pair it to my bluetooth speaker though just fine, and was unable to notice any delay or lag between the sound and the picture. I could not be happier with the picture quality that this device puts out all the way up to that size. This portable projector by far exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to using it at work, as well as at home for outdoor movies!

We are second time projector owners. Our previous projector lived a full and productive life, and this projector was purchased as a replacement. Expect to buy additional hardware for turn-key portable viewing and full use and enjoyment of this projector. Pros: - Compact and portable, - LED projection, - Internal battery, - Mount for tripod, - Decent settings menu with picture features. Cons, - Limited apps: — Compared to other LG television products, the apps are extremely limited; essentially YouTube, Netflix, ESPN, and Hulu. — Does not include Amazon’s “Prime Video” app as described in some specification descriptions from LG company’s website. Firmware fully-updated, called customer support, and they confirmed that Prime Video is not supported. — The simple work-around was a Roku Streaming Stick. A pro, the streaming stick is powered by the projector’s USB port. - Sound is okay, but limited. Work-around is an external Bluetooth enabled speaker. -Internal battery is okay. Work-around for full portability and additional functional time is an external power source. Basic item: - LG - PF50KA 1080p Wireless Smart DLP Portable Projector - White // $569.99 from Best Buy Additional items we purchased in order to unlock the full potential of this portable projector (totaling $324.91): - USA GEAR Mini Projector Case S7 Pro Portable Projector Bag Carrying Case with Accessory Storage - Compatible with Small LED Projectors from Vankyo, DR. J, Apeman, GooDee, DBPOWER, CiBest (Blue) // $29.99 from Amazon - Manfrotto MTPIXI-WH PIXI Mini Tripod (White) // $27.95 from Amazon - Bose SoundLink Mini II Special Edition Bluetooth Speaker // $149.99 - Roku - Streaming Stick+ 4K Streaming Media Player with Voice Remote with TV Controls - Black // $29.99 from Best Buy - Portable Charger RAVPower 80W AC Outlet Power Bank 20000mAh 30W PD USB C Laptop Charger External Battery Pack (USB C Charger Not Included) // $86.99 from Amazon So for a total of $894.90 + WiFi/Hotspot you can have a very powerful portable turn-key entertainment system.

I have had this projector for 3 weeks now. I purchased it to use in small spaces using my iPhone with HDMI connector to put out my content. The picture quality is fantastic. The specs say this projector can produce an image as small as 25” to a size of 100”. I own several large projectors that can produce large sizes so I have not tested it out to 100”. I have tested it out to small sizes though and contrary to what the specs say, this projector can produce a clear image down to a 13” screen. That surprised me and really made me happy with this purchase even more. The downside to this projector is the price. I can see a $400 price tag but at $650 it’s a bit pricey. I would recommend to others though If you have the money to burn or you get it on sale it’s worth the purchase. Price is what took off a star.

My old projector's bulb died and I decided to break down and get this projector to replace it. I needed something portable because I strictly use this model outside for my outdoor entertainment. Having wifi build in is nice so I don't have to connect my Chromecast every time I want to watch Netflix (which is built into the device). It's really small and compact. The project even has a built in battery in case you can't connect it to a power source for a little bit (roughly an hour or two). The picture quality is fine for my needs; most of the content I watch doesn't require the most intensive resolution and I'm happy with it.

Not the brightest projector but in a dark room or outside at night it works great. Love having the critical apps onboard without having to use a separate device. The battery power varies but on low it can make it through a movie. USB-PD is great, I often connect a 45w USB-PD portable battery pack to extend the runtime, and pretty much exclusively recharge it with a Macbook charger. The app store does not have anything new and doesn’t seem to get updates, so don’t count on things like Disney+ showing up anytime soon. All in all a great little projector.

Works Amazing! This projector gives you the best of both worlds. High-quality videos and photos and the ability to take on the go thanks to it's compact size. Has the ability to be connected to just about anything and has Bluetooth capabilitie. It's only real downside is that it's a little bit pricey. I picked up mine on sale for about $120 bucks less. One last thing, you should invest in a stand of some kind. Has a built-in stand. But, it's not that great.

I love how portable this projector is. The video quality is very good in my opinion with native 1080P. I haven't noticed any lag in video quality. The internal speaker isn't the best but love the fact you can use Bluetooth with portable speaker or sound bar. I use a camera tripod to mount the projector that works out very well. I mainly use this for movie nights and throw it on a 100" screen. Throw distance for 100" is ~12'-15'. Cons: USB-C port is pretty much useless. Supposedly only works with Apple products, but haven't tested that out yet with the wife's Apple products. I have a Google Pixel 2 and thought my USB-C would connect to this to display video and audio, it won't. It will charge my phone via USB-C but that's it. Battery life states 2.5 hours but I've only gotten about 40 mins with the vivid setting on. Overall, it's a nice looking projector for portability i.e. if your using for movie nights in the yard and want something easy to move around. Be aware when purchasing you will need to make sure you have some sort of Bluetooth audio, a 100" screen max, a way to mount the projector.

This was not cheap. In fact I could have gotten a brighter model for less but the brighter one had a bulb that had to be replaced every year or two. This one's got a LED light source that promises tens of thousands of hours which is important to me because I use it for my television and I'm retired...so I need lot's of hours. Of course, I've had it just a little while so the promised hours are yet to be seen. But I can vouch for a nice clear crisp picture that's plenty bright in a dark room. It easily connects to my sound bar through bluetooth and gives great sound. The speaker included in the projector are loud enough to hear but are no treat for the ears...so get a sound bar or surround system. You can also use a 3.5 connector to connect it to your sound system for a little better sound. I project to a screen that is 6 foot across the top and I get beautiful colors, great detail and excellent contrast. I haven't noticed any blurriness during fast movement. The projector promises pictures up to ten foot but I'm sure you lose some of the contrast and brightness at that distance. Also, if you plan on using this in a room with lots of windows open, it'll wash out the screen. I have a couple of dim lamps on in my home theater and all the windows are blacked out.

A pretty small and yet powerful projector. Full 1080 and highly portable. What it lacks in lumens in makes up in every other feature, including the built in apps. The lamp life is about 30,0000 hours, so it will last forever. Built in battery can last for 3 hours, which is great for camping and viewing one movie before charging. Highly recommend.

First I would like to state, this is not my first Projector. I am familiar with the projectors and the screen element for use in dark rooms as well as room full of ambient light. That being said the location of this projector test for product review was a room with lots of ambient light. The screen is wall that has light silver screen paint with 2.0 gain (allowing 3D to work). The projector works well in both daytime and again no surprise very well at night. The projector is sitting 11.5 feet from screen and the resulting image measures to 122" screen. The projector has 600 lumens so again the quality during the day is a bit lighter than say a 2400 lumens projector. However this is where it gets amazing. The picture quality at night is just so striking because even though this is just 1080P the content at that rate is just jaw dropping. Pros: Small and can be used outside when dark Less than $700 (Extremely good budget/quality) Had 2 HDMI inputs Advertised lamp to last 30,000 hours (Will update if needed to confirm this) Easy setup out of the box Cons: 600 lumens (Not the best quality in a room with ambient light) Vertical horizontal adjustments (requires tripod set up) That’s it folks for now. This is new for me so I will update this review as needed if things change. I would highly recommend this for anyone especially those that can use this out doors at night, it is small easily concealed in backpack and runs 2.5 hours on battery power. Picture quality is excellent, it's super easy to set up and use and I like that it has certain streaming apps already connected to it (netflix, hulu, etc.) There are a few that you won't be able to download, but you'll have plenty of options for streaming and gaming with the hdmi inputs, or screen sharing from your phone or tablet. I also like the additional features like the sleep timer, screen filters, and more. My only qualm is the sound quality. It's overall okay but is definitely lacking. I do understand that it's a small device though, so there's not too much room for incredible speakers, and comparatively to some other brands it's very good. It is compatible with bluetooth speakers. Overall, love it, great purchase and I definitely recommend.
