This doesn’t seem like a bad air purifier option if you’re looking for an air purifier and fan, and even the fan speed is decent. The thing to keep in mind is that this unit IS NOT a great air purifier or it’s at least not very efficient. As you might expect, it’s ability to move and circulate air, is minimal compared to even most air purifiers priced around $200. Again great unit if you’re looking for a two in one appliance.

LG has stepped up to the plate with the LG - PuriCare AeroTower Smart HEPA Air Purifying Fan obviously wanting to compete with the other well-known brand. "Another HEPA filter???" was what my wife groaned when the delivery man came to the door. Not knowing, obviously, what was in the box! I haven't gotten excited over a fan or a HEPA filter in quite some time now. I thought the little setup I had already was "good enough". The LG - PuriCare AeroTower Smart HEPA Air Purifying Fan, however, proved very quickly that I was wrong. First, it is obvious the company that LG is competing with once you see the design of this beauty. And yes, to me, this looks much more modern and sleeker than ANYTHING the other said company has produced. In fact, I named the APP for this (discussed more below) as "Controller for UFO fan". That's what it looks like to me at least! And that's a good thing! I can image just by the handsome look of the LG - PuriCare AeroTower Smart HEPA Air Purifying Fan, that yes, this is the SYSTEM that would be in a UFO. Setup was amazingly easy, just remove the main unit of the LG - PuriCare AeroTower Smart HEPA Air Purifying Fan from the box, snap on the rest of the assembly, along with a safety plate stand for those with kids or pets to protect from an accidental launch. The only other thing to do was to remove the protective coverings. Once connected, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of setting up the APP. Yes, a remote control is also included (that sticks to the LG - PuriCare AeroTower Smart HEPA Air Purifying Fan via a magnet when not needed! How cool is that)? Well, once I saw the app, and got everything connected to Wi-Fi I decided right then and there that I would not need the included remote. The app will let you do everything and more that the remote control can do. The app even lets you know what the air quality in the room is, breaking down particulates into three categories by size! This baby is QUIET! This is not a "let's get this fan for white noise" kind of deal. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that there are absolutely ZERO moving parts exposed that could harm pets or loved ones. And this truly blows (air) and circulates it. My personal use is in the bedroom which I keep closed during the day, so that when I return in the evening, I get a crisp, clean, smell and feeling to the room. Overkill, for sure since the LG - PuriCare AeroTower Smart HEPA Air Purifying Fan can handle a living space over eight hundred square feet - YES - EIGHT HUNDRED. Then right before I decide to drive home, I place the fan in TURBO mode via the app. This gets the air circulating BIG TIME before I get home. Once it has been in TURBO mode for a while, the unit then sets itself back into "automatic" mode. Automatic mode is what I suggest setting it at during any period you're not home, as it will monitor the particulates in the air and set the fan speed (from 1-10) depending. Many friends have come over and have remarked on how clean the air now smells. Not only is it a fan, and a TRUE HEPA filter, but via the remote, the unit's LCD menu, or the APP you can set the LG - PuriCare AeroTower Smart HEPA Air Purifying Fan into "UV Nano" mode. Sure, other brands use this technology in a much different way, but LG has them beat. Instead, the PuriCare focuses the UV NANO inwards towards the filter. This leaves no doubt that any living particulates get zapped and sent packing. During this day and age, I feel, as a nurse, and as a husband, that the LG - PuriCare AeroTower Smart HEPA Air Purifying Fan is protecting my family and friends - as another tool in the toolbox of maintaining proper health. I didn't know what clean, cool air was like until the LG - PuriCare AeroTower Smart HEPA Air Purifying Fan came into my life, and I am glad it did! So will you! LG took the idea, and truly reinvented the wheel. This is NOT your standard fan, or HEPA filter!

This air purifier is beautiful and works very well. It's very quite and effective. I don't understand why only the Beige one was on sale though. I also think the Hepa replacement filters are far more expensive than they should be! Rip Off1

The control buttons on the top of the tower are NOT recessed and do NOT light up. The buttons on the remote are the same…do NOT light up. So if you want to adjust the speed or anything during the night, you have to turn on the lights and wake yourself up too much…and your partner. When the display is on, it lights up the room! You can turn it off but you run the risk of hitting the timer on the same button which shuts the fan off after x amt of time. A bit noisier than other brands. Also quite big and suppose to be 3 feet from the wall.

It does take some time for it to purify. Nice bedroom fan.

It’s great product! I keep it at speed 10 everyday it it has given me any issues. The only reason I give 4 star is bc the packaging is really bad the I got two delivered and both came in bad condition

I like it. A little slow sometimes to get the air cleaned. Maybe I should turn the fan up would probably help. Bought it on sale which made it a good deal
