I love the LG PuriCare. Right out of the box, I was pleased with the design and aesthetic of the device. It is very sleek and modernistic. I think it complements any home design. Setting up the device is fairly simple. You have to remove the packaging. Of note, for the plastic film on the blades, it tells you to actually turn on the fan so the blades come out before you remove. I just pulled it out which probably was not the smartest thing to do, but it still working great. There are three modes: wide, diffusion, and direct. Wide and direct are fairly similar in that it shoots out air out front. Diffusion is when the air is directed up and the idea is that if you place it in the center, it should spread out the air evenly. I really like the diffusion option and it works very well. I will say though that using the LG PuriCare as a fan during the summer months works actually very well and I would imagine I have saved money on not needing to turn up my AC. The air quality is shown via three different sizes of dust particles: PM10 (the largest), PM2.5 (the middle), and PM1.0 (the smallest). The sensors will show levels of each and rate it from green (good), yellow (moderate), orange (unhealthy), and red (poor). Unsurprisingly, my place was red in all three. After keeping this on, it changed to green and I have been seriously breathing better since. I have asthma and allergies but they really have been milder since this has been running. I can breathe and sleep easier. The sensors are very sensitive and the PM goes up when I spray something in the air or even cook. All in all, this is a really good option if looking for an air purifier.

    Quiet and Powerful Air Purifier

Setup was very easy. Even connecting it to Wi-Fi through LG Thinq app was very easy, especially because I already had the app for our LG washing machine and drier. You have full control of it with your phone, Alexa or Google. The display provides good information without distraction. I have a much bigger air purifier and it does a good job of cleaning the air, but it is bulky, ugly, loud, and doesn’t cool the air. This LG PuriCare is tall at almost 4 feet high but has a sleek, slim and pretty design. It cleans the air in big areas as promised and is the quietest purifier I have ever tried. It’s even quieter than a much smaller one in my bedroom. Still, its jet of air is powerful and cools the air like a good fan, but without blowing sheets of paper and other objects everywhere. Just be aware that by “cools the air”, I don’t mean that it works like an AC. It doesn’t, but it certainly makes a difference. There is so much to like about it like the three different modes of air purifying. Most people will just set it to auto and forget. It does work well that way, but I would still recommend testing different settings and schedule. My living room is large but depending on what we’re cooking in the kitchen, it senses the air quality decrease and runs at maximum speed until air is good again. Interestingly, I placed it far from the kitchen, but it still kicks off at the first sign of air quality change. It has a very sensitive sensor, to the point where it will increase the speed of the fan even if you cough around it. The first time it happened, I thought it coincidence, but I have a family member in the family recovering from Covid and the experience repeated multiple times. That’s good to see and has convinced me that it can reduce not only allergens and but also germs in the air. My family and I are in the Health Care industry and it is very important to feel protected at home, especially because of some us suffer from sinus issues during pollen season. I’m glad to report that LG PuriCare Air Purifier does help us, even though we’ve had it for just a few day.

First of all this is a very tall unit so the box is even taller. I’d like to say it right off the bat that I couldn’t get the app to work but I was able to do it on my tablet. My girlfriend has asthma and it’s really hard for her to breathe when it’s dusty so I was a pretty relieved that this could basically cover our whole room. We live in the desert and there’s a windmill farm not too far from here. Needless to say, sometimes our air quality isn’t up to standards. Which I didn’t even know we had to have. It was easy to set up. It has a magnetic remote that sticks to the side when it’s not being in use. A small colored display near the base of the unit. It was very intuitive to set up as are most of not all LG products. It lets you know a specific level, which I think is a PPM (parts per million) or some rating along those lines. The lower the number on the screen the better. I work on a farm so I smell all sorts of things all day. It’s absolutely crazy how it feels like I walked straight into the mountains with how fresh the air is. It’s clean. One of the neat things about this unit is that it has an advanced filter and UV light that cleans inside the machine. You can also connect it to your LG ThinQ app. I use it along with my 4 head mini split. It’s so convenient.

    Clean your air!

After using this LG air purifier for a week, I'm totally sold on it! I suffer from allergies year round, and after a week of use, I was able to really notice a difference. I've been much less stuffy in the mornings after using this in my room overnight. It also can be used as a fan and even oscillates. Once plugged in, the LG AeroTower assesses your air quality and then gets to work! My bedroom wasn't too bad. it first registered as "yellow" but within a couple hours it cleaned the air to "green." I burned something while cooking and brought the AeroTower into the kitchen to clear the air. It had first registered as "red" 956 poor air quality. It took about 8 hours for it to clean the air back to "green" 0 good. At that point the burned smell was also gone. It is more visually appealing than most other air purifiers I've seen. I have no problem keeping this in my living room. I would consider this more of a higher end air purifier because of the features, price and design. It even has a remote control which is pretty handy!
