We chose this one for the new born baby. Smaller size is enough for baby's cloth. easy to fill and use. There are two y-shape tubes in the package, so you don't need to buy connectors.

I can put my hand washables into the sidekick, which keeps them separate from the regular wash. Don't have to worry that I am mixing colors during the same wash cycle, and nothing will pull or snag. The sidekick is quiet when in use. Just love the sidekick washer !! Happy I made the decision to purchase it.

I've had this small washer for about 3 weeks now and I love it. Fits right under my new front load LG washer and has its own water hoses so I can wash loads separately. Great for all small loads, but I love it for washing my hand washable, workout gear and lingerie. It has a regular setting for small loads of normal laundry, too. Detergent is added right to the clothing at the start of the cycle and then the machine will alert you before the last spin cycle if you wish to add fabric softener. Interactive display and countdown timer on display. Same cute song plays at the end of the wash to let me know when it's all done. LG thanks so much for this wonderful addition to my washer that makes it so much easier and faster to wash my smaller/delicate loads. I have and will continue to recommend to others.

I've been using this for hand-wash/gentle cycle items, items that will have to be hung or laid flat to dry, and items that need immediate treatment (think a bloody nose on a white blouse), and I love it for these items. I can run a full load in the LG steam washer and a few specialty items in the SideKick simultaneously. I don't have to search through all the items in the big washer to find the couple of items that can't go into the dryer. And it's great to not have to run the big washer for an item that has to be washed "right now." I washed a pair of jeans that had blood splattered on them (dog injured his ear and shook his head - yuck!). Every bit of the blood came out, and I didn't have to wash an entire load of anything in the big washer. The thing I don't like about it is that it's not wifi enabled. My new steam washer and dryer tell my iOS app when they're finished, but the SideKick does not. My husband did buy me the optional remote for my birthday, so I'll see how that works with it.

This small load washer is great! I love it because u don’t have to waste energy using our huge front loader on just a few items & it washes intimate items well. Overall it cleans very good!

I was pretty skeptical about this at first and definitely packaged it with the Best Buy warranty since it's new tech. Between the sales and rebates, the cost increase was incremental to get the second mini-washer in lieu of another pedestal. Overall it's a pretty cool feature to have. It's great for small loads and handwash items that I'll never actually handwash. Much more efficient use of water than the larger washers. My big complaint right now is the detergent fill method. They give you a very small cup that indicates the amount to fill (less than the 1 line in your detergent cup). It's nice and easy, I'm just afraid I'll lose the cup!

I love my LG mini washer. I have used it every weekend since it was installed about a month ago. It does a great job on my delicates and small loads. Now I can wash them separately while I wash the big loads with my new LG front load washer. I love them both!!

Though a pedestal washer is a bit pricey, I love having the option to wash a small load without having to use the big/main washer! Be sure to read the manual... the pedestal uses very little detergent! In fact, it uses LESS than a washer pod (for those of us that use pods in the main washer). You'll want to use liquid HE detergent (again, less than what's contained in a washer pod) and use only the amount necessary... barely a squirt! Again, very convenient washer!

I bought this as we want to use it for baby clothes. Very happy with this product. Easy to use. The clothes came out pretty clean. I though this was little bit on the expensive side but totally worth it.

We got the SideKick pedestal washer largely because it was part of the package. We have used it only once so far, but my wife believes it will be useful for some small load/quick wash moments. It complicated the installation, but works just fine.

There are many cases, such as kids poured milk or juice over their clothes, or dirty dirt on their jacket or shirts after activity. Then this is quite useful for small laundry. It does not have many wash mode, but normal mode is quite OK. My wife loves it. Only issue is that it is quite expensive. But you could find $100 off or other deal when you buy this with the regular washer/dryer as a package.

We've had the new washer, dryer and sidekick for about 2 weeks now and we love them. They are much quieter than our old ones and the clothes are washed and dried much faster and look and feel better. Being on the pedestals reduces the bending over when loading and unloading. Installed them myself. They are very heavy! I ended up putting small sliders under each foot so I could move them - works great! Impossible to move them without the sliders. Highly recommend you do the same because you will eventually have to move them. When you arrange for delivery make sure they will take them out of the box and put both the washer and dryer on their pedestals. Like I said earlier, they are very heavy.

We use this pedestal washer more than I expected. It is perfect for a quick wash of something when you don't have a full load. My wife uses it to wash her undergarments as they need a delicate wash setting to last longer. It is quiet and does a great job.

My wife and daughter love to buy cloths that are hand wash only. This little pedestal does a perfect job of getting their items clean. It's nice to be able to throw in a load of laundry on the top and then use the bottom for smaller delicate items.

Love the pedestal washer. It's quiet and efficient, perfect for when you just need to wash a few things. Enjoy the extra height it gives my washer. No more bending down to load and unload clothes.

Handy But Not Sure if Worth It

This is a handy device to have. We do several small loads of active wear each week. But the main washer can download new cycles that include settings for that type of garment. So, I'm not really sure if this is worth the extra expense and set up. It comes with a Y connector so that it can drain with your main washer. For our setup, this puts the output of the drain close to the top of the drain outlet, which means the water has far to travel and can echo and be loud in the drain outlet. Could just be my setup. In the end, it's a neat device but may turn out to not be worth the expense.

I have only had it long enough to do just a couple of loads. I did a load of dish rags before I realized this washer is only meant for lightly soiled items. So they didn't really get clean. I tried again with my delicates and it cleaned them well. But I did find out that if you close the drawer while the tub is still wet, it will still be wet the next time you open it. Yuck. That means you either have to wipe it down or leave the drawer open to dry. Hate that. Other than that, I am still glad I got over just the plain pedestal.

Quite possibly the best part of the entire package. At first I thought it was a dumb gimmick but I find myself using this to wash athletic clothes and a towel or two. It's very convenient to use this for small loads like athletic clothes, delicates and other things that may not need drying. Surprisingly there are many wash settings and a few temperature settings. It makes sense given the price of wash pedestals. It's also pretty quiet. The only downside so far is the amount of hoses needed. This unit requires separate hoses from your main washer so it can look like a rat's nest behind the units. Overall I'm happy that I bought it.

Who wants to do two loads of laundry at the same time? Who wants to conserve time and water by doing small loads of laundry? Well if your saying to yourself, "Me," then good thing LG made the sidekick. Great product and useful.
