I was not sure at all about this but I was going to buy the two matching pedestals and after talking to the sales staff at best buy, thought it would be worth a shot. glad I did. You don't need two pedestals but the takes care of small loads that we used to store up, until we had a "full load" and then we had to decide which items should be included together in the "full load". A heck of a lot simpler!

I love the sidekick washer! It allows you to wash smaller loads when needed. This is a must have for everyone.

I've owned a sidekick in the past but left it behind when I sold my home. So when it came time to buy a new W/D I figured I'd get it again to go with the set. It's great for washing a very small load, or a few delicate or handwash items while washing a full load in the main washer. No bells or frills, 6 basic cycles, it does not communicate with the main washer. It's basically a mini standalone top loader tucked underneath your main washer.

My husband works out at the gym daily and needs to wash his clothes immediately ... this was the perfect solution for constantly running the washer with only a couple things in it. I also love using this for the nice stuff that I want to keep separate from my other clothes. I can run both the washer and this at the same time!

I didn’t think this was a necessary item, but I wanted the pedestals anyway so I purchased this instead of the simple drawer. I’m glad I did. For not much more than the single drawer pedestal, I now have a small washer to quickly clean items when I don’t want to run a full load. We wash sweaty running clothes, baby bibs/rags/blankets, delicates, and more. There have been times in the past that I’ve needed a single pair of jeans washed, but I’ve waited until we had more dirty laundry before washing them. Now I don’t have to wait. This cuts down on future size loads as well. The pedestal washer has three main settings (Normal, Delicates, or Hand Wash) and three additional settings (Active, Rinse/Spin, and Tub Wash). It also has a child safety lock so a child can’t open it while it’s running. Such a great invention! This is the one thing you didn’t know you needed!

I purchased my appliances during a sale for appliance bundles. I decided to add the SideKick to the washer instead of the regular pedestal with the drawer. I am so glad I did and highly recommend it. It allows me to separate small loads of specialty items and do two loads at the same time. I love it for my delicate items and other handwash. It is also great for high frequency items that require daily washing.

The unit is a great design. You get a second (smaller) washer without sacrificing any space. Just inside the pedestal. Great idea! Well, the unit had some damage upon arrival. I had to call LG for a warranty repair in order to work flawlessly. It was easy to request warranty service online, and they took care of me even during the pandemic. This gives me some assurance how the repair service would go in the future.

Talk about the sidekick to have! I got this unit as a add-on to the washer which I purchased from another vendor. This actual unit is made to support the washer and serve as a second method for washing smaller clothing items. I use it almost every time I wash clothes— as a nice space to clean very delicate items. Works like a charm!

Very handy little washer for small loads. There is no separate fabric softener dispenser, so you have to go old school and dump it in at the appropriate time. Cant use liquid bleach in it either as per the instructions. But for small loads is beats running the full size machine that sits above it.

Absolutely love this! My boyfriend works with yard chemicals and vehicles all day. When he comes home smelling like work he will undress at the door and put them in the sidekick and wash them. Makes cleaning those small loads quick and efficient. I also love using this for our small rugs works great for that!

We purchased this because a single member of our family would use it a lot for washing her work uniform. I was surprised when everyone else found uses for it too! It's a perfect size for intimates or if you have just a couple things that need washed. When this item goes on sale, it is definitely worth it, though I am not certain I would pay full-price - even though it is very useful.

This is a great little washer and can run at the same time as the large washer

So grateful to have this second machine for an urgent item or a smaller load. Also great for the sweater that needs "hand washing" in its own separate load. Have often had both machines running at once which is fabulous! Would give it a 5 except that there does not seem to be any way to turn off all the chimes and signals and I would rather not hear them.
