Dryer wouldn't dry!

It kept tripping the 30 amp circuit breaker if it ran on anything other than a low temp cycle. We checked the circuit breaker and it was fine. That left the drier. Best Buy installed it, and the installers were very competent. We returned it.

Great performance but too much plastic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LG DLEX9500K Dryer We have had this set for over 3 months now. The extra large capacity is great. You will wash fewer loads. A queen size comforter, sheets and mattress protector all fit in one load. You need to hook this up to cold water in order to use the steam feature. The manual says it comes with a hose but it did not. LG wanted us to jump through too many hoops for them to send one out so we purchased one and installed it. You will also need a Y coupler to share a cold water line with your washing machine. When I first saw the lint tray I really hated it. But upon use I discovered that it is really terrific. It is a lint tray that folds over. It captures more lint than any other dryer we have ever had. We are happy so far. With all of the cheap plastic parts, it will only be so long until they break. They should have used metal on the doors, lock and cover. Pros: Easy operation. Lint tray. Extra Large Capacity. Cons: Plastic locking mechanism on doors (very cheap; doesn’t always close tight on first try). Sliding plastic cover on top is plastic and flimsy has no purpose as there is just a tiny storage area. No “Spin Only” cycle. Plastic door – you need to be very careful when opening, our dryer door would have hit the closet door knob so I had to add foam to the door to prevent it from hitting or it would crack.

After about two years of use, we began to hear a strange low-level noise when pushing the control panel buttons. Also, D-80 error codes are displayed often. GEEK SQUAD technicians could not fix the problems. We regret buying this LG dryer. It keeps my wife annoyed.

The D80 error means the dryer is 80% clogged either in the air exhaust hose, wall ducts, or the vent outside. – Check to be sure the lint filter is clean. – Check the exhaust hose connected to the back of the dryer is not clogged or blocked by lint.
