The sensored drying is not completing the job.

I've been using this machine for over a month now and I'm not sure if I'll be keeping it. I found that in many cases its sensor drying did not leave the clothes completely dried. I called LG to look for a solution and they said to make sure to have similar clothes together (I've seen other machines where it wasn't that specific and they still worked) so the sensor doesn't get confused. It started drying better but still not always to completion. I'd have to add time to get it dry. I had best buy do a return exchange in case the machine was defective and I'm now testing the replacement machine. So far I'm having the same issue and may just return this machine for a different brand. If anything changes I'll update my post but I'm not impressed with this machine since it is lacking efficiency (not drying to completion on the first try). It feels like I'm at a laundromat putting in extra quarters.

    Extra functions are useless

Let me start like that, the features seems very nice and useful. However, some of the features are good for just few cloths, being just useful for a quick thing here and there. The dry sensor is a joke. It always turn off before the cloths are dry, so it is not actually saving any energy since I always have to use the manual or put to dry and go back to keep drying for extra couple minutes. The accessories are very expensive, so not worth buying them. In resume, you buy a very expensive machine, with nice features that doesn't work very well and at the end you just use the manual option. Also, I have this machine for almost 1 year and the back grille is rusting. For these reasons, giving a low score for the cost vs benefit.

    terrible customer service

The dryer came with a defective leg leveler which is a very minor and cheap item. I called the customer service number and was told a technician would come to my house to fix it. When the technician did not come in the time frame specified I called the customer service again and was told the technician would contact me. I was never called. I called customer service 2 more times with the same outcome. I asked a customer service rep if they could follow-up with the technician to make sure he/she received the contact from them and was told they would not. I had to repair it myself. Perhaps there really was a technician dispatched for a repair but no evidence to this effect was ever forthcoming. I do not believe LG cares about the customer in anyway except for the sale of their products. I will never purchase another LG product. There are too many other companies that produce quality goods who care more about the customer satisfaction.

    Destroyed clothes

After having the dryer for two months, the dryer began destroying at least one clothing item each load. It turns out that clothes get caught in the lent trap and get ripped up. Not impressed. Also, the dryer defaults to energy efficient which takes 30 minutes longer to dry the clothes and are constantly coming out still wet. When you disable it, it dries them well but you have to remember to press the bottom each load. Overall not impressed!

I purchased both the washer and dryer as a set to replace my previous LG set of 7 years. The dryer failed for that set too. This one has been great and worked well until the drum decided to continue to run with no power and no way to stop the drum. This unit was just purchased in Oct 2014 so you can feel my pain on having to spend more money to dry my clothes. After review the service and part make it not worth the repair and LG will no longer be a product that I am interested in owning for washers or dryers.

    awful!!

I despise this dryer with a passion. It leaves clothes damp and they smell like wet dog. Even when choosing, for example, the highest drying level on permanent press, the clothes are still damp. Only way to get things dry is to choose the 30 min cycle where it runs no matter what. I am so mad I paid so much money for this. I have used cheaper, older, even public dryers and have never had such a bad experience. Don't buy!

I love the dryer for its drying capability and multiple settings. I hate it bc the lint trap screen bends easily and will destroy clothes. Obey the dryer destroyed over 20 pieces of clothing. I replaced the trap and no problems. However, the second one is bending again, and it ripped a tshirt in laundry this weekend. Here we go again! I have a love-hate relationship with my dryer.

Clothes are still damp after the cycle ends. It is an intermittent problem. One load of towels dried completely with additional heat set. Other loads of cottons - socks, etc. didn’t dry completely even with additional heat set. Good thing I live in Colorado, they finished drying on top of dryer.

Would not recommend buying this item nor any appliance at Best Buy. Loud and takes forever to dry a load of clothes. Disappiinting.
