This refrigerator looks amazing and performs really well. It is however pretty small if you're used to larger, yet if you reside near shopping areas, it shouldn't be a problem...not for large families. It is also fairly expensive if you don't catch it on sale...I bought on President's Day at a significant discount.

I want to love this refrigerator, but the freezer constantly has frost on the drawers and the product inside the freezer. Seriously, it's 2016 and you can't make a frost free freezer LG? My wife likes the trench doors, otherwise, I would have opted for a traditional side by side. We previously had a GE side by side and not once in 10 years did it frost up the freezer. Why three stars? It looks good and keeps things cold.

I’ll preface by saying we have only had this for about a month and bought it because it was on sale and an open box purchase. Anyway...
This is a great piece of equipment- would highly recommend to someone that needs the counter-depth space and wants something that looks nice. It has a great ice maker compared to most brands- this unit doesn’t allow built-up ice from opening and closing (thawing and refreezing) that other freezers have. We did buy it because it was about half off the normal price as an open box buy and have been wanting this type of fridge for a few years- we would not have spent the full $3k this thing normally sells for. Pros- looks great, fits in our space, has nice features. The separately opening outer door is a great feature. The filtered city water tastes fine through its filter- no chlorine or off taste. The ice cubes and crushed ice are a great shape- nice for some mixed drinks. I’ve read other reviews about the ice and water continuing to release after you take your cup away- just hold it there until it’s done! Not a problem for us. Cons- the top French doors don’t open all the way so going into one or the other is kind of awkward- just open both if you’re trying to load groceries or get to a bunch of things at once. The WiFi stuff still does not work yet- I’m good with computers and that kind of setup and I cannot figure it out for the life of me. Doesn’t really matter right now but, if it were able to tell me it’s having problems while I’m at work that would be nice. No idea what the smart functions do... The freezer space takes a bit of “getting used to” but we like how it forces you to consider the available space and how to maximize it.
Overall this is a very nice unit and I would be happy to buy another (at the same discounted price) if we had a small vacation home or the like. I hope it runs strong for years to come- we have the Geek Squad protection if something does come up... Oh, before I forget, if you have an out of date water line you should have it addressed before delivery. Best Buy will not cover water damage if the hookup isn’t done by the installers.

Bought it because it is counter depth and didn't have the water/ice dispenser all the other LG refrigerators have that are big, ugly, and the water/ice symbols rub off. This refrigerator looks good, more stainless, no gray plastic, and a flat front instead of rounded. It turned out to be much quieter than my previous LG, which I was worried about. This one is really quiet. So far it also has not had a clogged ice problem which my previous LG did on a regular basis because it melted slightly in the door ice maker and stuck together. Only downside is the water/ice dispenser is all in one dispenser and you have to toggle through 3 selections to get what you want - regular ice, crushed ice, water. 3 separate buttons here would make this the best refrigerator ever invented. With one button you have to push over and over, it gets 4 stars.

Spacious and simple design makes this refrigerator and attractive buy. A little concerned about reliability due to prior experience with this brand. Hopefully this time around it'll perform better. LG gave me a complete refund on the prior item and I gave them a second chance.

I replaced a GE side-by-side while renovating the kitchen. It definitely keeps things cold; I had to adjust the temperatures higher to get things just right. It also appears to make ice quickly. Here are some pros & cons:
Pros:
-Clean lines
-Makes ice quickly
-Lots of adjustable shelves
-Door in door
-Separate refrigerator filter
-Door open alarm (wish time were adjustable)
Water tastes good
Cons:
-Pricy
-No egg bin
-Heavy freezer door seems to slam shut all the time
-App needs some work
-When switching between water and cubed/crushed out the selection panel cycles through all the choices (no individual button)
-slightly awkward freezer layout
Overall, the cons are mostly nitpicky things that prevented me from giving it 5 stars, but not from enjoying the product.

After looking at the Kitchen Aid and Samsung offerings, we decided to get this fridge based on it's capacity and looks. The unit runs quietly and cools quite evenly. For a counter-depth fridge, it holds a decent amount of stuff.
The sliders inside feel like good quality items and the lighting inside is very sufficient. Compared with the other brands I looked at in this price range, the lighting is superior and build quality is above average.

Good Looking Fridge, but a little noisy

I chose LG because they are known to make the quietest refrigerators. However, this fridge makes a constant humming noise that really is a problem, since I have an open concept living room. It’s a tad louder than my basic 8 year old side-by-side Whirlpool.
Another downside is that this fridge’s doors are 4 inches thick. So, it has to be placed with that much thickness out from the wall. To me, it defeats the purpose of making this fridge counter depth.
The positives are it looks really fancy, especially with the door in door and the flat front surface and it keeps things cold.

This refrigerator is amazing. Temperature is very accurate, also, there’s a sufficient amount of space for being counter depth. I love the door-in-door feature. It makes it very convenient for milk and the everyday items we use.
We also received a very good deal on this item. It was on sale but found it cheaper at Costco and Best Buy did a price match.
My only con would be the delivery process. I’ve remodeled my kitchen and bought a range and refrigerator from Best Buy and they were considerably late for both deliveries.
Great product... poor delivery.

I’ve had this refrigerator a little over a month. I compared it to other models and manufacturers and it beat them hands down. I like the door in door for quick easy access to frequent items. The ice maker is a thin in door design and the refrigerator is very quiet overall. The French doors and bottom freezer drawer give access to roomy interiors with LED lighting providing a clear view of all contents. I love the way it looks and performs and highly recommend it.

Looks great but does show fingerprints. Like the easy access door on the outside. Like the counter depth even though you do loose some interior space. Celery stalks won't fit in the crisper drawers. Ice dispenser works efficiently but the storage bin is small. However, there is a container in the freezer for extra ice. Freezer is roomy and there are 2 pull out drawers, making small items easy to find.

This is a beautiful looking fridge and I just love the little door-in-door feature. Yes, it takes a bit of practice to catch its ice cubes and water flow and I had a bit of a mess for awhile. I wish the Glide n' Serve drawer was in 2 sections so I didn't have to open both large doors to open it

I was mainly looking for a fridge that had a good ice maker and water dispenser. I drink all my stuff ICE COLD. My previous fridge dispensed water at a super slow rate. It was irritating watching my previous fridge fill two 32 ounce hydroflasks with water/ice everyday. This fridge makes the process much easier. The door in door feature is awesome too.

great refrigerator, the stainless steel cleaned up very nicely by using a stainless steel cleaner, polish.. However now that I have the refrigerator for about 1 month the water dispenser in the door is leaking. I don't have time at this moment to wait for a repair person. I will call in a few weeks for an appointment. Also, at one point the freezer defrosted itself for no apparent reason, then froze up by itself. I was glad that my items were not completely defrosted. Every item has frost on it. My husband would like to have the water a little colder. I don't want to play with it. I will wait till I get a service person that knows what he is doing to adjust it.

I bought this refrigerator and I am very happy with it. My space was very narrow and the counter depth, french door, design has really helped with space. My old house now looks as if was custom built. In addition, it is very quiet which is great.

Nice fridge, lighting is fine and especially like the two-part door opening so you can access door items without having to open the entire door. Speaking of, the upper door hinges pivot so that door edge (which is quite thick) extends beyond the side of the box (some makes pivot totally within the box size). Our opening is hemmed in with a pantry and it interferes with the fridge door. Makes up pull the fridge away from the back wall by 2 inches.

I compared many different sets and brands of kitchen appliances and am happy I went with the LG Studio line. This refrigerator looks great in our standard sized opening and is counter depth with perfect clearance for the doors. It runs very quietly. It offers plenty of space, especially compared to other counter depth models. The flat fronts and all stainless and glass exterior give it the look of a stylish industrial appliance. I did not realize the refrigerator will connect to your mobile device when I purchased it, but was disappointed to find out that it will not work with an iPhone. This does not take away from the quality or performance of the appliance, and who really needs wifi in their fridge anyhow? It could be worth noting if this is a feature you are set on and have an iPhone though.
