2 years ago - I purchased the entire line of LG Studio Appliances. Double oven, French Door Refridge, Microwave, Dishwasher. Nothing But Trouble. The Refidge is on its 3rd Compressor. The Microwave Knob stopped working - to repair need to replace entire control unit -2 times they did that under warranty - Now the 3rd time - will not and costs as much as new microwave. THe Dishwasher leaked - and was repaired. The Oven Knobs are very wiggly - and one broke off - The tech said quite expensive to have him repair, but gave me the part number - I ordered on line and my husband took the oven face apart and replaced it.

LG refrigerator should be recalled

Avoid buying LG refrigerators. Mine stopped working after 1 year and 1 month, so of course, just out of warranty. I called the LG help desk and gave them the error code and they said it would take a tech to fix it and cost $351. He came out and took out 2 screws, removed the back panel of the refrigerator interior and used a hair dryer to defrost the fan. Then he put in a new back panel with one extra screw that will apparently prevent condensation from forming and freezing the fan. He said this should have been a recall and I agree. Instead, LG is profiting from their mistake.

We bought one of these around three years ago for around $2,000. It stopped working this week. LG has been giving us the run around for 3 days promising to call back, promising to schedule service etc. none of which has happened. Their product is horrible and so is their customer service
