My internal burner died and I had a huge job to complete. Bought this and it saved my butt. Works great easy to setup and I am thrilled with it.

I bought this DVD drive after returning the LG - 8x External Double-Layer DVD-RW/CD-RW Drive - Black also bought from Best Buy. Problem is the 8x drive gets power from Laptop's USB and if you wish to install Windows 7 on a Windows 8 OEM Laptop then your DVD drive needs to power at the boot up. Finally solved that problem by returning the 8x drive and buying this drive. Most of the laptops these days dont have a DVD drive so this works great. Only downside is it is not portable...I cant imagine to keep this in my laptop bag

I know discs are going out of style, but I need to use them from time to time, and if you need to buy an external player/recorder this is a great and reliable brand.

I tried two portable DVD’s drives with my laptop which were slow and not always successful. This dvd drive solved all issues and operates quietly and fast.

I needed it a affordable functional drive to read and writes dvd and cd on my Mac Pro and this unit did the job for me

Does what it is supposed to do. It is quiet and quick. Built fairly sturdy - I opted for this one compared to smaller/thinner ones because I take out of the office at times.

This DVD+R drive is so fast, you will love it! The speed is really fast. We took and played moves and games with it.

I purchased this to re-rip my CDs to a higher format. It read the CDs much faster then the drive that came with my computer. I ripped over 2 thousand with no problems.

This is a solid CDRW PC I purchased did not have one this one is a wonderful substitute

This product works great easy installation and very compact and did not take any extra desk space. Install fast and simple and works great.

Little sketchy at first as we didn't read the instructions but works well with Mac. She's happy and that's what counts.

I bought this DVD drive so I could transfer old VHS home movies onto DVD's for myself and my family. So far, works perfectly - and I've burned about 15 DVD's. No complaints!

Perfect for those with a laptop that did not come with a CD drive. Very lightweight and easily fits into a laptop bag.

I hate that most computers don't come with a cd rom. This worked great to add music cds to our computer
