I bought this because a new computer I purchased did not have a cd/dvd rw drive. It works great and does exactly what it is suppose to do. Would recommend if someone is in the market for a nice external drive.

I bought this to use to copy old cd's to my computer which does not have a disk drive. It was fairly inexpensive and I have it whenever I have a need for it now.

Easy to use, just plug and play. Very quiet and fast, works as advertised.

My father got a new laptop and didn’t have a disc drive so we got this for his birthday. It’s is not portable, so you would have to spend more for portability but this works just fine. Plug n play on windows.

This is a good player and cd burner. It doesn't take up much desktop space. I like that it has it's own power so you don't use any from your pc. If you burn cd's this is what you need to have. Set up is a breeze.

My HP all-in-one, as nice as it is, didn't come with a CD/DVD drive. I needed one to burn some files to DVD. I was hoping to buy a USB 3.0 or better drive but the price for this unit sold me.

Got a new PC at work and forgot to tell IT to order it with a burner. Ran out to my local Best Buy and picked this up for $50 on sale. Got back to the office, plugged it in and installed the software that came with it. Was burning data DVD's in minutes. What's more to say. It was inexpensive and does what I need and expected. I keep it unplugged and in a drawer in my office. Told the rest of the office to ask if they need to barrow it. Perfect fit!!

Solid construction, which appears to be outside the ordinary anymore for external DVD/CD drives, most of which appear flimsy. Works well, and I fully expect it to last decades with no problems.

This is the second one we have purchased. The first one just got old. We would continue to buy this item.

Good quality and it is very fast. Easy to install and setup.

Like this cd drive! Very fast and runs well in the background. Only down side is that it needs external power so it's not great on the road.

this is the second time i have purchased this burner. the first one lasted a lot longer than i thought ( about 6 years ) so i was happy to find it again when the first one started dying on me and giving me coasters. easy to install and works well with my software.

I use it to make copies of software. I purchase software that is online and I want a backup incase I have a crash on my laptop.

I was having trouble playing my movies and listing to my music CD's. Finally the geek squad located the problem, and I bought this item. I haven't had any trouble with it since I bought it.

This drive is pretty fast and seems well built. The only negative is that it is kind of big.

It works great just really to big to carry around rather just have one built into the unit.

I'm using this on an IMac with no problems. I didn't install any software at all. Just connected the drive and it was recognized. I have burned a few discs without issue.
