This is easy to use and I was very pleased with the price as well as the ease of use. I have not tried to write yet(copy a DVD) however I am sure it will walk me through it as with the other features.

Needed a external DVD/CD burner for my new 27" iMac and this unit performed well and seamlessly. Quite pleased with the performance and speed.Price was a bargain too.

My new computer didn't have a DVD driver and needed one to load programs. I bought one based on the reviews which majority of it was positive. It did everything i needed and had no issues with it.

Works as expected, easy to install and use. It is large, but I knew that when I bought it. Only disappointment was the Cyberlink software provided was very basic and so had to spend $30 to upgrade in order to burn DVDs that would be playable in a DVD player.

I was looking for a small USB external DVD±RW/CD-RW drive to replace a cumbersome heavier larger HP USB drive that I purchased in 2002. This drive definitely does the job! I use it mainly with my netbook, but my laptop has no optical drive so this drive comes in handy for it, also! And, I definitely needed a USB connection, and the 2.0 version works well with my hardware. The other specs - which include super-multi 24x double layer - are icing on the cake!

Works fast and quiet. I was able to burn a bunch of cds for a school slideshow in half the time if I did it on a desktop computer

This burner is fast and reliable. Love that's it's a heavy duty burner and it does everything that I needed it to do.

Thanks to the awesomeness of this external CD burner, my band was able to burn a lot of copies in a short amount of time of our demo CD to give away at our gig! It works fast and is easy to use!

For a desktop system, this dvd writer is great. Probably a little big if you want to routinely take it places with a laptop. Feels solid and is quiet to use.

My cd/dvd burner in my computer died. I was making CDs and I wanted to finish the product I was working on. After buying two other (shall remain nameless) external drives and went through the hassle of sending both back (they just didn't work), I went to Best Buy and started looking. I found this one and bought it. So simple to use, just plug it into a USB port and you're ready to go. It was a lifesaver for me. If you need an external drive, this is the one for you.
