this is a great product for the price. I bought my son a computer that didnt have an internal dvd drive so i also got this. he loves it and it is easy to use

This external DVD recorder/player may be larger than other recorders but the speed is much faster than other thinner ones. Worth the price.

This is a powered DVD drive, so it works well and is fast. It is very handy to keep around for your computers without internal drives. It is rather large and bulky, so is not easily packed in your briefcase. That is the trade off for speed and excellent performance.

The drive is a bit big in size and also requires 120 volt (does not run off USB) Other than that it serves its purpose

I have a gaming laptop with no built in cdrom/dvd player. I like the size of this option over some of the more flimsy ones. It is very easy to open to insert/remove disks. It does get a little noisy when installing a game but it doesn't bother me. It isn't noisy while watching a movie or listening to music from a cd. I am very happy with this purchase.

Since the iMac has a solid-state drive and does not come with an external I/O device, I had requirements to be able to burn CDs (audio/music and backup docs) and to be able to upload specialty software I already own from CDs/DVDs. This device is compatible with the iMac and seems to work just fine for my purposes. I'm also not a big fan of storing my personal data on an external server not under my control (aka "The Cloud").

This works very well, our DVD burner stopped working in our desktop. But it's a lil bulky.

I used this to upload my entire CD library to my laptop & spare hard drive. It is easy to use and pretty fast.

My DVD writer in my desktop PC was not working properly as it would not recognize any disc in the unit. I was going to get the PC looked at and while looking at a BestBuy ad online I saw this unit. It had all the things I needed and the price was right, cheaper than taking the unit in to be checked. Hooked it up as soon as I got hone and started making DVD's of a slideshow I had made. Works great
