This internal dvd writer is average like most dvd writers. However most of these are too large for the newer computers which use the smaller plastic products. I use it externally with a housing unit that has a sata connector.

I haven't been able to install it yet. Looks good and the price was OK. I have no reason to doubt it's quality.

I have always had great success with Hitachi and would recommend this product to anyone from a system builder to someone needing a replacement. Great value for the product.

I am normally skeptical about LG products, nevertheless I took a chance on this burner to replace one that I had worn out. Well, this is a great, solid performer. I have had no problems when it comes to burning DVDs or ripping them.

I'm old school and was really disappointed to know that the newer laptops don't come with a DVD drive. This solves that problem in a nice little package. I've got two now and really like to use them when my grand babies come over. Each can watch a movies on a different device.

I'm somewhat pleased with my purchase, although I think the computer was a bit pricey. The processor speed is nice and the screen resolution is great. In order to accommodate my needs (multiple storage drives for video editing), I had to purchase a Thunderbolt port and an optical drive. This added another $75 to the purchase price. I’ve used the computer for a month now. The keyboard is somewhat difficult to see unless it is bathed in bright light and the touch and feel of the left and right click on the keypad is clunky. I can process large video files quickly and the screen renders a beautiful image.

The night before a cd pretty much exploded and shattered in my cd drive! The next morning I was able to purchase this online and pickup in the store . Easily installed and works great. I was back up and running in less than 24 hours

I asked sales rep advice on the purchase. It was between this DVD row player and a HP that cost $20 more to do the same job. I was advised to save the money which I did.

Replaced an onlder drive and it is working well and doing its job. Working well with no issues.

This LG DVD burner Was a great buy for me because it was easy to install, start working immediately and it was relatively inexpensive, I had an old burner go bad in my computer and this on burns a lot faster than the old one did.

My DVD player burner had gone out on my 8 year old Dell Tower. The associate at Best Buys Geek Squad installed this in a couple of minutes and it is an improvement in speed to my last burner. seems like a definite high quality piece of equipment compared to the cheap ones available.

My CD/DVD recorder in my desktop tower stopped reading and recording disks. I bought a laser disk cleaner which didn't solve the problem. I purchased this drive, installed it in 10 minutes after checking YouTube "how-to" help, and it works beautifully.

I purchased this LG drive to replace my defective primary drive and it is performing beautifully. I've especially appreciated the MYDVD driver that pops up whenever I insert a disk and provides me with immediate options.

Now days cd/dvd room are almost out of the scope anyhow needed it to revive one old pc, which in this case this cd/dvd drive r/w worked excellent. Had no issues with hardware/software installation indeedn there was no software installation to get the basic run of the drive.

I bought this unit at the last minuet when my old one wouldn't read or even try to write to a blank disc. Easy install on the PC and it has not failed me since nor has it written a "coaster" disc. Does a great job on both regular and double layer discs.

This product (an internal DVD RW/Burner) was exactly the item I wanted at the price I wanted. It was an easy install; No 20 page direction necessary. I just took it out of the box, hooked it up and it was ready. I am usually happy with the products I perches from best Buy. Thank You Best Buy

Ended up buying for my desktop I was building. Forgot to order this part online and was relieved that BestBuy had these in stock. Downloaded my OS perfectly and haven't used since. Computer is about a year old now and have had no issues with this part.

This is a great deal. Installation is easy, even with two left hands. Then the fun begins. It does anything you would want from a dvd and cd player, or recorder. Just put together a CD to send your vacation photos to all your relatives and it pays for itself!
