I installed this in my new computer it works well.

Bought the unit for a fairly good price through their price match guarantee. I've only recently installed it and so far I haven't experienced any issues. Only time will tell. No issues installing, but the constant update message was rather annoying and took some searching to finally shut it off.

This is a great buy.Use this LG GH24NSB0 DVD±RW/CD-RW drive to back up your important data on single- and double-layer DVD media and play back a full range of Blu-ray, DVD and CD formats. The 2MB buffer with underrun protection ensures consistent burning results.

It's about the same as any other drive you could pick up on the market today. I picked it up just because it was the cheapest available at the store at the time when I needed it.

This is a basic and simple drive that will work and perform all the functions needed for DVD/CD use. If you are looking to replace your drive and save money, this will work for you. I am not a fan of LG products, but I will take exception for affordable cost. A good buy for simple usage.

Everything went smoothly during installation. It was a replacement for a different brand bought (shipped) that didn't work upon receipt. I prefer picking up in store as I have had damage in the individual shipping items a few times. This replacement is of better quality than what I purchased on-line for less money.

I had to buy a inexpensive converter ($4.) to attach to the end of the DVD drive to use on my computer. While my hard drives are SATA, my mother board is see for IDE on the 2 DVD slots. Not a big deal, just a heads up.

Everything about this drive is good, however with constant usage it can tend to be on the loud side at times. Please note that this drive does NOT come with SATA cables so you need to purchase those as well. It can maintain good data transfers with a SATA II cable but best with SATA III.

It didn't recognize a couple of Cd's/DVD's. I had to return the product. For the ones it did recognized, everything was very good.

just built the new desktop,wanted to keep my old desktop so bought this. I have owned lg products for computers in the past and have had great results. lets see if it continues.

Very good drive to replace a failed drive in an older computer.

Had a bunch of hiccups connecting to Windows 7 or 8.1. The tray would sometimes not open when the button is pressed and the read speeds are very sub-par. If you are looking for something cheap, this is it. It works.
