I mounted one of these in an external drive case and connect it to my laptop. It's used to play CD's in a karaoke environment, so it's opened and closed a lot. No problems, so far.

I bought this dvd/ cd burner to replace a writer which needed new firmware. The manufacturer didn't have a firmware update available. I have only used this drive to burn two 8gb dvd+R.

This was a very good buy. Purchased a DVD Player for Living Room. It's portable & so easy to plug in. Ended up taking from room to room. Will have to purchase an additional one. Good playback. Very reasonable cost!

This drive worked flawlessly. I put together a computer from leftover parts and plugged the LG drive into the motherboard and installed Windows 10 with no problem.

I have been using this drive in my computer for several years and a few builds. If this one ever goes out, I will definitely buy again. Though Blu-ray drives are getting pretty low in price now as well.

Needed a new hard drive. This was the one and the geek squad put it in. It works great and would do it again.

I'm not sure how good this is. I didn't know at first but I needed a slim DVD burner. This one is too big for my PC.

this is my first external dvd drive. and it seems to work pretty good. i think i like it better thn the internal drive, because it keeps the heat of the drive seperate from the rest of the hardware

I love how drives like this aid thin edgy laptops nowadays in maximizing the use of some legit softwares. However, it should be noted that this set does not come with SATA/IDE Adapter. Just so you know.

Perfect for making dvds for long car rides. Litterally the only reason I got it. Considering everything is digital and accessible with internet conection....

This DVD-RW is the perfect size and packs with so many other functions.

My old DVD/CD player recorder wasn't working properly anymore. I do a lot of video recording for choir and for our local library. This player/recorder filled the bill nicely, for transferring the recordings to DVD.

In the age of downloading everything these drives are getting less use. Drive does what it is. Bought it to install GTA 5 instead of downloading it. Once in a while is still usefull too burn Hirens or an OS on.

I havea 3-disc DVD-CD copying machine, but I was careless when I inserted one of the blank discs and it got stuck and broke. This LG drive perfectly replaced the bad one and now my machine works perfectly again.

Used it once to test if it worked (it did), I probably will not be using it too much but wanted to have it as part of my build

Functions fine for most needs. It is somewhat limited with double layer DVDs.

Easily installed this drive into my Dell tower. Drive reads and writes to my DVD's and CD's without any problems.

I needed a CD drive for an upgrade but needed a SATA drive in the new machine. I got this one because i can use it in multiple machines.
