    Not as quiet as the box made it out to be, the spin up on the drive is all most as loud as the 10 year old drive being replaced.

    My other drive would hang unless there was a disc in the tray. I have had no trouble with this drive, and it plays DVD's very well.

    I bought the drive because of the LG reviews and reputation. Although the BestBuy site image stated that this unit would play blu ray, it does not!! As such, I am very disappointed. I expect accurate information and unbiased product reviews when I shop.

    I told the salesperson I needed a DVD recorder since the new laptops don't come with one and he gave me this one. However, when I finally took it out of the box this week, I realized it was an internal versus an external DVD recorder so I never used it. The manager allowed me to exchange it today for an external DVD recorder. Thank you Best Buy for doing the exchange.
