Exchanged for another identical model and same thing happened. These are apparently inherently problem ridden or just cheap junk. Not only wastes time but wastes blank discs because of burning issues. AVOID at all costs!

If you don't have an extra cable you'll have to pay an additional $15 - $20 for one. Note that the comparably priced HP drive DOES come with a cable.

In looking at the actual specs it does not list that it plays Bluray. Very disappointed but can not bring down computer to remove to take back.

Took discs to another computer and they read fine. Took it back and they replaced it with much grumbling. We'll see how it goes......

It was burning with a lighter layer and the discs were skipping and not able to read. Just seems like a lighter use drive would not reccomend for heavy use.
