This is my first time trying out this sort of ear phone headgear, after getting extremely frustrated with tangled wires going every which-way, getting snagged and pulling earbuds out, etc. etc. etc. This unit gives out good sound and combines the beautiful convenience of bluetooth wireless connectivity. It also coordinates smartphone answering as well, which is another big plus, as well as being able to hear the caller clearly in any type of exterior environment. It's a bit expensive, but look for a sale.

THE SOUND IS NICE & CRYSTAL CLEAR WITH GOOD VOLUME. BATTERY LIFE IS ALSO VERY GOOD. THEY SEEM TO BE DURABLE. CONNECT RANGE COULD BE JUST A LITTLE BETTER AND PRICE COULD BE A TAD BIT CHEAPER BUT OTHER THAN THAT THEY ARE ONE BEST HEAD SETS THAT I'VE HAD.

definitely a must for the people that don't like to charge. Battery will last all day without a problem with moderate listening. The sound quality is good however they tend to not stay seated deep in my ear so I lose some. This hasn't caused me an issue and I still consider them the best headphones ive had. I have used these working out also and the sweat hasn't effected them. I would purchase the protection plan due to the fact I have had 2 similar models in the past and the cords wear out on collared shirts etc after 1 to 2 years. Just the nature of design by default. Very comfortable I often wear these around all day listening to music or answering calls, after awhile you forget they are even there.

This was recommended to me by a pilot who had used many of these and he said it was the best he'd found. He was right. Great quality, long battery life, so comfortable I forget I have it on and easy to use.

These are really good. The thing to think about is I have had the LG $69.99 version for a couple of years and other than the retractable portion I think they work the same. I am happy with them but and I got lucky and got them on sale for $80.00 and would be disappointed if I would have paid the full retail price of $199.99. I have nothing negative to say about them but nothing great either.

I was a little skeptical at first to purchase this item due to the price. However, I decided to take the plunge and I am glad I did. The sound quality is fantastic. It was very easy to pair with my cellphone. The only negative thing is that I can't take full advantage of the aptX since I don't have a qualifying LG cellphone. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase.

These headphone are very comfortable and do a great job with noise concealing on the user end. When you are using with the cell phone, people on the other end do hear a little of the background noise. However, I have been told that is still sounds good. I am very happy with the headphones. The battery life is excellent.

Unless your jamming to some tunes these likely aren't for you. I take an inordinate amount of phone calls. I usually run 6-7k minutes a month. Can you imagine how tired my arm would be holding a phone to my face 7000 minutes each month. So having a headset is essential for me. I have never liked how the small in or on ear Bluetooth headsets felt and battery life for those isn't that great. I go through a set of LG tones every year. Granted I am retracting and pulling out the ear buds and generally using mine probably more than most. A few years ago I started out with the 730s then went to the 750s. I had some 900s. All of these had one singular problem background noise. Finally the platinums have made improvements. I don't feel like I have to find a quiet spot to take a call so the person on the other end can hear me. Since I am at construction sites, factories, etc, quiet places can be hard to find. Hear is where these come up a little short in comparison to the price tag. These fit more snug around my neck than previous models. The previous models I have owned also hid behind the collar of my shirt much better. The older models would rest at the base of my neck sort of resting where the collar bone and neck meet. The Platinums however due to the tighter radius appear to hover a few inches above my collar bone especially on the back of my neck, almost like they are floating. I am 6,4 and my neck is above average in size. However the never feel uncomfortable to me. The just look strange floating on my neck about half way up. Secondly the bluetooth is just strange. The connection stutters and cuts out sometimes. Strangely enough if I move away from my phone the connection seems to get better instead of worse. I keep my phone in my pocket most of the time. This seems to be the worst spot for reception. This issue seems to be even worse if other people are using Bluetooth around me. Disclaimer: my phone does have some issues and I think it is related to the Bluetooth radio. However since many other people have noted Bluetooth reception issues I am not holding my breath a new phone will rectify the Bluetooth reception dead spots. Battery life, I get 2 to 2.5 days out of these and like I said before I do a lot of talking this is slightly less than I got with my 900s. Also there is very little warning when the battery starts to die. When the headset says "Battery very low please charge now" It is not joking around. It tells you once and then the headphones shut off very soon after. These seem to take longer to charge than previous models as well. With older models a thirty minute charge would easily get me through the rest of my day. The Platinums take a little longer. I have the LG G5 so I can take full advantage of the Aptx, it does sound better than the other models but for me, not enough to justify the $100 difference in price compared to the next model down. If you were buying these to listen to music and make occasional phone calls and have a G5 or V20, this would be a much bigger selling point. Since I am on the phone so much with work. The last thing I want to do is leave them on and listen to music. In fact, taking them off signifies the end of my work day. I call it "deshackeling" In summary: Better background noise cancelling while on calls than previous models Bluetooth dead spots/ reception issues. Tighter overall fit around the neck than previous models. In my opinion they don't feel as premium as the price tag and name suggest.

I needed a new Bluetooth because my old Plantronics was on the fritz. I first purchased the LG Active because they were water/sweat resistant, but they wouldn't fit my neck correctly (I have a thick neck) and my wife couldn't hear me while driving, which defeated the purpose of a headset. I returned those and bought these and couldn't be happier. They fit my neck well, have 2 microphones that pick up really well. My wife can hear me clearly while driving with my window cracked and wearing a jacket or coat. Although the default volume is low, they have excellent sound for both phone use and music, easy to operate controls, and the retractable ear buds are a great feature, no dangling or snagging, just push a button on either side for them to retract back into the unit. To read the instruction booklet that came with them you will need a magnifying glass to read as it is written very small. Several features of the headset are unavailable unless you download the Android App from the market, but they aren't that important and the headset works just fine without all the extra bells and whistles the app allows. Although more expensive than several other headsets that were available, I consider them worth the extra money for this design type.

I received this headset for Christmas. It's easy to use. The sound is clear. The only reason I gave it a 4 (instead of 5) is because the noise canceling is not great. I was told that the person I called could hear a swishing sound from my treadmill which is very quite. Otherwise, great product. Very comfortable around the neck.

I'm a big fan of LG products and having the LG G5 felt that this headset would be a great match. I did my research and bought them. I have to say that the sound is very very nice. I you can truly notice the difference when playing music. The build quality it decent and I haven't had any problem with the battery running out after hours of use. I like that it will do text to voice for text msgs it saves me from having to check my phone when I'm running or busy. I have one complaint though, the connection is flaky. With my phone in my pocket it will frequently cut out momentarily. It doesn't loose the connection with the phone but it will randomly cut-out as if I were out of range or something.

These have amazing sound and clarity for phone calls. Ambient noise is filtered out well, phone calls in a moving car with the window rolled down are clear as a bell. Good sound quality for music as well, not audiophile level good but more than adequate. They are so light I forget I have them around my neck. The retracting ear buds are smooth and easy to operate. On top of all this the battery life is spectacular! I can easily go days with moderate use for phone calls only. It even lasts better than 24 hours with heavy use for both music and calls.

I really liked these earbud because they sound great and had some really good useful features. I enjoyed the text in the earbuds and retractable feature but I had issues with the right side retractable, it was probably a beard oil issue. My wife has the step down and has never had any issue with hers.

Molded aluminum case for the "working end" and an improved flexible neck piece. Harmon Kardon drivers for ear buds, that are also aluminum cased. I have owned, and used every day for 7 months; SOLID, STURDY. My Lg Tone set fell apart in a year. These still feel and operate the way they did coming out of the box. Giving 4 stars for this reason: they are not designed for low volume ambient use. There is an annoying "sea shell" ocean sound even when not turned on. I have tried every available ear bud size; a solution was no silicone bud at all, but that isn't practical is it, they fall out. All that said, once volume gets up about 25%, the sea shell is a non-issue. The sound quality moves from the beach to the studio. The science behind this IMO works like in-ear monitors; the ear bud creates a seal making the space between your eardrums and buds a pressure chamber, allowing better performance across all frequencies....even the "sea shell" freq at low volumes 8 ^ )

I went through 5 different Bluetooth headset before I found this perfect one. It's expensive but it does the job for me. I was a bit skeptical about it since it not have noise cancellation but infact it's performance supercedes most noise cancellation bluetooth out on the market.

Compared these to 2 other headsets! Sound and base far surpassed all others tried. Battery life is great. Lots of features. Nice look and feel. Worried about how thin the earbud cords are and heard stories about the retractable cords not retracting very well or earbuds shorting out if the cords are pulled to hard. I have not had this issue yet but bought the protection plan just in case. Wish they were water and sweat resistant though. Overall best headset that I have tried. Definitely would recommend!

Terrible microphone position. Like the other reviews, no one can hear me talk unless I pick up the headphones and pick them off my shoulders/neck. The sound quality is good. But it isn't $100 better than my LG 810's. The return ear piece buttons are annoying. It's more more convenient to just give a slight tug and have them auto return similar to my 810's Battery life is okay. After listening to these for 8 hours, I had about 15% or so left on my battery. These were not worth the $180+ tax bought these for. Or were they worth the extra $100+ than my LG 810's. I returned these and bought a second pair of 810's.

I love these headphones. I used to have the HBS-900 and I upgraded to these. They are amazing and great for all-purpose use. The retractable earbuds are the best and I can never go back to the magnetic ones. Sound quality is great and the sleek design is very fashionable. They easilly tuck under my collared shirt at work or under a t-shirt or polo outside of work ours. I have these on all the time and 90% of the people I meet dont even see them. So they are perfect and would highly recommend it!

Listen to your favorite tunes in complete comfort with this LG Tone Platinum headset, which features an ergonomic design for easy wear. Retractable earbuds fit snugly in your ear and hide away for storage. I'm really loving this headset that announces calls and message alerts. The sound is clear and authentic. All buttons are easily accessed and convenient. They only go a certain distance before disconnecting and when you get back into the phone's vicinity the headset reconnects. I love it....
