Controls are intuitive. Sound quality is excellent. Surprised by how often I use the external speaker - it's one of these features you don't realize how handy it is until you use it. Great range & battery life. I use these at the gym; while it's not advertised as water-resistant they haven't been damaged with all the sweating. I've also accidentally walked into the rain with them on and they are fine.

These are my second pair of LG Tone headphones... the 820S blows away my older Tone Pro 760's in both power and sound quality. (Using BT 4.1 + aptX source). They even rival my Sennheiser and Klipsch on-ear wired heaphones. The little external speaker is an invaluable addition for me as sometimes, like at work or while mountain biking, I can't have an earbud in or a phone making racket in my pocket. In those cases I can switch the speaker on low (or high) and still hear my music or program without issue or concerns for safety. I have no Cons to share, my only concern is the longevity of the retractable cord... Time will tell.

For some reason, the LG Tone Ultra Plus (HBS-820S) doesn't have as much audio volume sensitivity as its little brother, the HBS-820, not to mention the lack of an equalizer. However, the trade-off for a mono speaker (for speakerphone conferencing) plus three sizes of ear gels (instead of 2) are worth the sensitivity nerf. The retractable earbuds work well even though people need to use them gently. The product isn't water, sweat, or weather resistant, so this was meant to be used in dry weather and indoors. The audio works well with the default silicone ear gels. Those who are planning to do a lot of indoor calls would benefit with this product, although the behind-the-neck format isn't for everyone.

Not being loud enough is honestly my only complaint, everything else is fantastic about these. Run time, call quality, reception, the exterior speaker is cute and sometimes useful. But they aren't loud enough, in 4 years of getting new earbuds Evey few months for work, these are the quietest by far and is the reason I'm getting rid of them. It's that much of a deal breaker.

Great device, really light you barely know it there and retractable earpieces are a must! And the added speaker feature was something that i didn't know i wanted but now it don't know what i do with out it.. It would of got 5 stars but the sound isn't as loud as the 810 ultra and the it way more expensive compared to it predecessor. Also the battery doesn't last as long as the 810. The 810 i would charge like every 4-5 days, this one its more like 2-3 days of extensive use. It's a good replacement since it would be difficult to find a 810. But so far the best lg tone on the market.

Yes, the plastic does break after about one year of regular use. And when it breaks, my recommendation would be to immediately & carefully super-glue the plastic back together. If you don't, the wire inside the plastic will also soon break. When the wire frays and breaks, there go your headphones. I take good care of my stuff--no kids, no animals, just me. I never sat on the headphones, never crushed them, etc. Just regular use. Besides becoming useless after about one year, these were good workout headphones, but not good for talking on the phone. I would not recommend these headphones.

I like but, the on/off switch is located on the inside of the headset. This really rubs against and inrritates the skin. Caught this one on sale at a great price. I'm going to return it any way.

Paired easily. Very comfortable, ear buds were easy to retract and replace and were comfortable in-ear, also had various options for the ear buds. Easy to switch between speaker and ear buds. The disappointment is in the quality. It was extremely choppy, sounding the same whether on speaker or in ear. I didn't even try to make a call, as just listening to music was impossible. I checked compatibility and my device (a Pixel XL) has the right specs. It should have worked.. I unpaired and repaired (again, very easy) with the same result. Very disappointed. Returned.

the older models actually were great for working out. the volume in the ear piece was really good also. this model need adjustment and have them close to what they used to be.

I've only had this headset it being my 2nd day today, and the quality of the calls are horrible. Noise reduction does not exist with this headset. I'm on the Transit bus, and everyone whom i'm speaking with says the noise surrounding me is louder then my voice. No flash to switch callers? And the distant range from my phone to the Lg headset is very bad. I have a small apartment, when i leave my phone on my bed and walk to my kitchen, the Lg headsets loses connection. Really? I'm returning this!

BUYER BEWARE! Product stated falling apart 2 weeks after I received it. LG refused to warranty. I wish someone would have warned me that LG product warranty is useless, so I am trying to warn others. If you buy an LG product, buy an extended warranty because LG sells junk.

Have the previous version of this product (3 headsets). Within 9 months each headset had 1 earbud stop working. Called and after quite a bit of arguing had them replaced but again within 9 months on each of them had 1 earbud stopped working. I called in again and was only looking to get a repair done but wanted assurances that in 9 months the problem would not resurface a third time. When I spoke with the LG rep who literally said it is past the warranty so you can put it in the trash but we won't replace/repair them. When you have the same problem in the same timeframe there is a defect in the model and I can understand there is a limit to a warranty but these are not cheap and telling a customer to put it in the trash is really saying we don't care.

first off I love lg head sets but this one is the worse one i have ever had. had it just over a month now and I only got it because of the retractable headphones but now i wish i didn't i can have my phone (Samsung note 8) in my face while talking with the headset and it will drop the call and go back to phone i then have to turn off and back on Bluetooth to get it back to head set i'm a truck driver so i don't have access to my phone while driving to do this. but for some reason i can listen to music with no problem . now its to late to take back to Bestbuy to get my money back or get a different pair

Initially I thought I was making a great buy considering my co-workers have had the cheaper LG headsets ($60) for almost a year so I assumed I’d step it up a notch, my mistake, Best Buy doesn’t warranty LG headset and I see why. About a month in it started placing phone calls on its own and a week after that it completely stopped working. So if you’re looking to throw away $120 here’s the way to go!

The earbuds don't stay in my ears because the smallest rubber tip they offer is still too big. Also, the sound quality isn't all that great. The only reason I purchased these is because a former coworker recommended them but I should have known that he, being a rep for LG, was going to push his brand instead of giving me his unbiased opinion. What a waste of $150.

As soon as I put it in my pocket the sound breaks up and cuts in and out. Same thing with other model from lg. Don't know if my phone or head phones but I'm not buying a new phone so these are going back. My other wireless over ear headphones have no issues.
