works great, saves a lot of time with dress cloths. Only small issue is that when using it in steam mode, water trickles out of the door on bottom.

Love everything about this dryer. The only negative is that whenever I use the steam function, there is water on the floor in front of the door. LG needs to address this. But everything else is great!

My husband retired several years ago and we bought a home in the mountains. It had been used for a year as a rental when we bought it. The laundry facilities were in a closet - a single closet! The builder had put in a one-piece stackable unit. The dryer section was wearing out, so we decided to go with a 2 piece stackable. Easier said than done. After some changes (including removing the door, as all units we looked at were too deep), and a LOT of research online, we decided on the LG. It is so quiet compared to the old unit, even with the closet door removed. The clothes are dry when the signal sounds. So far, I love it.

Our 13 year old Maytag washer died and we needed to purchase a new washer. A lot has changed in the 13 years we had the Maytag. I did a fairly comprehensive search on the web to learn about different washers and the reviews given to them. Plus, we really didn't want to spend over $1000 for a washer. Initially, I thought we would purchase a Maytag, but after seeing it and reading the reviews, we shelved that idea. I started looking at Samsung, LG, Kenmore and Electrolux. We ended up settling for the LG. I'm so happy with the LG. It was installed without any problems, especially the balance problems I'd read about in other reviews. The LG is so quiet and our clothes, towels, sheets, etc. are so much cleaner. I've not had any issues with the cycle times-they're a lot shorter than the Maytag. Our washer is in a separate laundry room so we keep the door open to minimize any mold and smell issues, of which we've had none. I did read all of the Owner's Manual and follow those instructions. I'm thrilled with the LG and would definitely purchase again.

This is the first washing machine I have bought since a very unpleasant experience with a Bosch set about 8 years ago. They required service right from the beginning, and were slow and awful. So much that when we redid the laundry/mud room we had to replace the machines even thought they were working fine. WHAT AN UPGRADE!! This is a fabulous machine, easy to use, and intuitive. The Speed Wash is just that -- you press Start, and go do something else, and it seems like just a few minutes later, it chimes. The machine does a great job on everything we throw at it, and we throw a lot at it. Our housekeeper had no problem adapting to it instantly, and the quality of the laundry has improved 100%. I would not have believed it possible. We have Miele machines at our apartment, and the LG's put them to shame. I have to see if LG makes the smaller size units, because if they do, I'm gonna splurge. You absolutely, positively, cannot go wrong with this machine. We have been using ours for five months now, and my wife and I almost fight over who gets to run the machine. She has gotten deeper into it, but I'm intrigued by the idea you can download cycles from the internet. When I get around to it, I'm going to see what the WiFi capabilities really are. I suspect I'll be blown away. My sole concern is the door hinge: It is the only part of this machine that does not look and feel like a Rolls Royce. I hope it's just meant to be flexible to avoid breaking, but it feels a tad flimsy. No issues with it, but it worries me a bit. If this thing is durable, it's the first time in my life I have gotten a techie buzz from a household appliance. YESYESYES. I researched machines for a month before buying these. I also had to buy some commercial units for an apartment house for my kids, and so far so good. The Best Buy installers did a great job on those machines. For once, my research paid off. Don't hesitate. This is a GREAT MACHINE and GREAT VALUE.
