Had to replace my 2.5yr old GE front load HE washer because the bearing went out, so I did a ton of research this time around to make sure I had something that might last 6...hopefully 10 years. BTW, say goodbye to washing machines lasting as long as they have in the past, that will never happen anymore. So after days of looking at consumer reports, reading online reviews, reading professional trade blog sites, I decided to go with this very exact model and have been pleased so far. Much quieter with lower cycle run times than my older GE, with great features. Time will tell if I made the right choice, but I feel great about my decision. I did all the research for you, now trust me and just buy it!!!

After 14 years my dryer bit the dust right in the middle of towels. I had to finish them up in a Laundromat. We couldn't see repairing the 14 year old dryer and we thought the washer would be next so we went looking for replacements. They were having sells on washer and dryers on several stores and sense we had the pedestals for LG that would be our choice. When we got to Best Buy they had several models. one of the washers i had seen on the internet had a lot to nice features but had a very large tub and it was more than we would ever use. however next to it was a slightly smaller tub but the same features. it wasn't on sell. i kept going to different washers but kept going back to that one that i liked. The sale's person checked on price and found out that the washer was out of stock and if i wanted the floor model they could discount it by a lot even lower that the sale price of lessor models. When figuring up totals they said if we wanted the floor model dryer they could discount that one too. WE did.. ok This suppose to be about the product even though the service was great too. They delivered the pair and set it up, explained all the options and took off the old ones. The dryer was really good but the washer it was great. Since i do the laundry i couldn't wait to wash something and try out some of the features updated from our old machine. I loved them. it had a steam feature that you can use on several settings which deep cleans especially on cloths that you don't normally use hotter water. I had several shirts that i had stains on them that i had not been able to get out as hard as i had tried. i set it on cotton/normal setting with added steam and pushed the button. Now it takes longer to wash on this setting but it removed all the stains on all the shirts i was trilled. It also has turbo wash which shortens the wash time and does a good job of cleaning too. The tub is 4.3 or 4.5 what ever it's much larger than my older washer and it can wash all the towels and still have room left in the tub . Well i guess I've bored you long enough so in finishing I will say i really like this set and especially the washer. We've had them a couple of months now and they are great. John Mc

While I was out of the country, my wife had to get the installers to come back because they didn't install it absolutely level. A level needs to show it is level both front to back and side to side. Why? Because the spinning bucket stops and starts. Every time it stops and starts, this makes noise and puts torsion on the machine. If it is not absolutely level, this will make much louder noises and shake the floor much more. The key to a (relatively, not absolutely) quiet machine is that absolute balance. Also, if when you stomp on the floor near where your machine is or will be, if the floor shakes, you are going to get more noise. This is especially worth checking in houses where the washer is away from supporting walls and not installed on a slab. Today it is not uncommon for washers to be installed upstairs or even next to a bedroom for convenience. Of course, stacked washer and dryer pairs are heavier, but unless they're both stopping and starting at once, this also means more counter weight and perhaps less shake--if they're ABSOLUTELY LEVEL. So I've said my piece, and unfortunately, perhaps because the space was small (and of course the washer heavy) making levelling a challenge, the installers were not vigilant until really pressed, even on the callback visit.

Easy, simple installation. Controls are intuitive even before reading the manual. Laundry comes out fresh. Biggest improvements are: 1) much faster. 2) unbelievably quiet during spin cycle. 3) improved detergent measure and delivery system. Reliability...time will tell.

So quiet when we’re using it. It is easy to operate. Less water needed for a big load of clothes enough space for all our laundry needs ang others. The look is simple but beautiful. It fits well to our laundry room. The pedestal is so cool with extra loading. The height is ok you don’t need to bend to load the laundry. I’m satisfied with this product.

I like my washing machine. It has the steamer, dial that light ups and it washes great. The machine is very quite when washing and it have a tub clean plus its easy to use. I like the where the filters and where to drain the water twice a month and the filter is easy to get to and clean.

Large capacity, great cycle selection and adjustments to same, easy to use, does a very nice job. Reasonably priced (when compared to similar models of other brands)'

I waited to review this until I had used it for a few months. So far I have enjoyed using it. It does clang a couple of times with each cycle and I need to find out if this is a problem or just a feature. I am pleased with the performance of the machine and how clean it gets my clothes. It has a ton of features and options some of which I might never use. I purchased the matching pedestal which is nice because you do not need to bend down so much when moving items to the dryer. The pedestal is expensive but it also gives me extra storeage in my small laundry room. I am giving it 4 rather than 5 stars because it seems expensive to me and also because it requires some routine maintenance to a filter on a monthly basis.

So far so good. Clothes are coming out clean. Holds quite a bit and is very quiet. Too early to tell on durability but pleased with it so far.

Love my new machine. Easy to use- clothes come out nice and clean- quiet. Great for washing King size heavy comforters. Heavy towel loads no problem.

I replaced a 10-year old LG machine with this new one. The difference between the two machines is light years apart. The old one was a good machine but, this new one is much quieter and almost vibration free. Plus the additional features are spectacular.

This is my first time owning a front load machine. It has many wash options and is very quiet! The only thing that seems to be an absolute must is that after a wash cycle, you will need to wipe the inside of the door and rubber seal with a towel, and also use the “lock feature” which holds the door shut but still allows air flow in to dry, in order to prevent a funky smell. I’ve not experienced the smell because I’m following the rules ;) This is something we were educated about in the store and is also in the owners manual. It’s really a great machine!

This washer dryer combo can handle an entire hamper of dirty laundry, as well as steam dry just one button up brilliantly. We really tax our laundry machines, and I'm super happy with the ease with which this combo performs. Both machines finish at about the same time, and if I do a light load they speed up significantly. I can tell you that overloading makes pants bind, so don't try to shove it too full. My only complaint? Please make the power button part of the child lock, just like all the other buttons.

Live this machine. Very quiet. Cleans exceptionally well and it's easy to use. I particularly like through stainless steel drum.

Really like the capacity and ease of use. Works very well. So far it has done a great job getting our cloths clean.

This washer uses so much less energy then my last washer. I'm saving $15 month on my water bill and $23 month on my electric bill. I don't really use all the fancy features but it cleans my clothes very well. I do very big loads and it seams to clean every thing I throw at it and the clothes are not super damp when I pull the clothes out to go to dryer. I would have gotten a cheaper model but this model was on sale I I just went with it. The guys from Best Buy deliver installed it in about 10 minutes.

So far I have been very happy with this washer. It’s easy to operate, quiet and the clothes are very clean.

I wanted to wait about a month and a half of use before I review this washer. This was a replacement for a Sears Kenmore Elite which lasted about 10 years before the second computer control panel needed replacement and I decided to replace both the washer and dryer. So far, this LG is working quite well using the Turbo Wash mode. I read some previous reviews and some users had some problems with the balancing of the wash. I tend not to stuff the washer full but usually wash a load that's about 3/4 full. This way, it gives the washer an opportunity to balance out the load and have not had any problems. The wash comes out fairly clean although I do not have any soiled clothes to wash ever and I do a wash twice a week so the wash is never that dirty to start out. Initially during the installation, the delivery person(s) did not tie back the braided metal water lines and each time the washer was filled; there was this heavy clanging as the metal water lines hit the back of the washer. So after an inspection, I tied back the water lines with wire-ties and the clanging went away. Not a fault of the unit but of the inattention of the delivery/installer. Also make sure you bring out a level so the the units are level front to back and side to side so there is no noise created during the spin cycle.

I've had this machine now for just under 4 months now and I love it! It's got all the bells and whistles, washes my clothes very well, and is very user-friendly and easy to use despite all the buttons. The only thing downside is I have to leave the washer door open right after washing overnight to let the water from inside it dry out but that would be true of all front loaders. Great quality!

I have used this washer numerous times since buying it from a Best Buy store. I sometimes wonder if I wasted money on buying the Geek Squad extended warranty as I’ll probably not need it. The fact that this washer has a speed wash feature made it a no brainer, in my opinion. It’s quiet, runs efficiently and actually washes my clothes. I can’t be more happier and neither will you!!
