The Best Washer You Can Buy for the Money!

We had an earlier model (13 years ago) of this same washer and it was great. Unfortunately, after 13 years of HARD use (at least one and usually 2-3 loads per day) it had a bad bearing or two and sounded like a F-15 taking off whenever we ran it. Other than that, it was a GREAT washer and lasted a solid 13 years which ain't bad.
This washer is absolutely GREAT! Not only is it simple to use but it cleans wonderfully in like half the time of the previous washer. For instance, towels come out thoroughly clean, soft, absorbent and feeling fresh. It has actually revitalized some of our older towels and made them seem new again!
Dark clothes are brilliantly cleaned, again, in half the time of the old washer, and come out soft, smelling fresh, and with minimal wrinkles. We bought the matching dryer too, and the pair are awesome!
Bottom line is that the price of the pair (matching dryer and washer) is less than the price of many competing washers alone! Combine the great price with the high-end performance and features and you have a winner.
In case you can't tell, I am very excited by this new washer but, I am an engineer, and as such I appreciate the quality and simple design elegance of this machine and it's matching dryer. But, don't just take it from me.... Check this short review at EnGadget where they say, "The LG WM3770HWA is the best front-loading washer, while the matching LG DLEX3370W makes a great dryer." or take a look at the Reviewed.com review (http://laundry.reviewed.com/content/lg-wm3770hwa-front-loading-washing-machine-review) who also loved it.
Bottom line, IMHO this is the best washer you can buy for the money especially when combined with BestBuy's generous discounts and price matching thingy. You cannot go wrong with this beauty!

*note: this is the same review I dded for the washer. It's hard to separate the pair.
Let's be honest here first of all...I'm not the primary user for this product. I'm incredibly lucky to have a very supportive wife. This review is based on what she tells me, really nothing more.
Initial impression is that there is a learning curve after coming from another brand. You get used to certain things, and they may or may not be on the new one. Once getting through the basics, the washer has proven to be efficient and quiet. There are a lot of options for washing and not all have been tried.
We also made a move from a top loader to this front loader. For those a little less tall than average, this is a very notable move. Significantly easier to reach inside the wash drum.
One other thing to add is that we had moved to a top loader to avoid mold issues we experienced with a previous front load unit. The door seal system has been redesigned by all brands and we hope to have a much better experience this time around.
At this point all is well and the experience positive. Would recommend the unit.

Chose this machine because another reviewer said it was so quiet they were not sure it was on. This has not been my experience at all. This machine is loud and even scares my dog. The laundry comes out very clean so no complaints there. Only other issue is that the machine is very wet after each load so I am afraid to close the door for fear of mold growing inside. I would recommend the machine but with the qualifications of noise and having to leave the door open all the time.

We were replacing an older front loading washer that we totally hated. It had long wash cycles and the water pump would often clog up and have to be cleaned. This new LG washer has excellent cycle times and has not had any clogging problems at all. It is extremely quiet and has many easy to use modes and features. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a front loading washer.

I bought this to replace another one that was only 2 years old from a different manufacturer. This one works great, washes the clothes like it should, it’s quiet and the tones are adjustable for those who are complaining about the noises. We have it stacked, there are times that the spin is a little rough but that is at the end of the cycle when it’s cycling off/on. When it’s spinning full speed, it’s pretty quiet. It’s very simple to use and the clothes and come out clean.

I really like this washer and am a big fan of LG products. I've had it about a month and the only negative is the fact you have to drain water from the bottom front of the unit; the door on the bottom left is where the hose is located. The hose is easy to access and it doesn't take much time but it is something I have never had to do with previous washers. I don't have water leaking from the washer since I empty the water frequently so suspect folks who don't do this may be having leaks as a result. Other than that I really like this washer, clothes come out clean and I love the fact it isn't noisy. That was one thing I was looking for because my previous washer made so much noise. This LG is extremely quiet and I like the chimes that let me know when the cycle is complete.

I have been using my new washer for a good 2 weeks now and have washed just about anything in the house from sheets to king size blankets and dog blankets small loads and big loads as well.
I am very satisfied with the results.
I love all the options and it is easy to operate and easy to explain to the teenage kids.
It is very quit.
So far I love it.

This LG is the replacement for my Samsung which had drum failure in 6 years. This machine takes less time and very quiet and clothes are almost dry after wash!!! It comes with lots of features and options. So far I have no issues and it is selling for under $800 for July 4th sale. Strongly recommend this machine which comes with 10 years warranty for motor and drums

We upgraded to this washer from an old top load washer that was 8 years old. We have been using it for about 2 months now and are very happy with it so far. The turbo wash feature is worth the little extra money for the upgrade as it saves on wash time. Overall, the washing machine is pretty easy to learn and performs well.
Vibration can be an issue with this washer depending on where in your house it is located. If your laundry room is located on the main or second story of the house, you may experience some violent vibrations. Our laundry room is on the main level and while there will always be some vibration due to the speed at which the washer spins, ours isn't too bad, even on the high speed spin setting. If you are experiencing a significant vibration, make sure the machine is installed perfectly level. Otherwise, they make anti-vibration pads that will help with the problem.
Be sure to read the manual for the maintenance required with a front load machine. It is important to wipe out the front gasket regularly and keep the front door open after a load to make sure you don't get mildew growth around the door seal.

I read many reviews on this washer and finally decided to purchase. We couldn't be more happy with this machine! It gets your clothes really clean and does it very quiet. I love the fact that in the spin cycle it gets such a high rpm that it doesn't take as long to dry your clothes. You will be happy with this washing machine.

I gave it a four star only because I have yet to figure out how to get clothes from coming out so wrinkled(an they are taken out right when washer is done). I was thinking it was going to be a lot to learn as this is our first front loader. Do not panic as it is very user friendly! Gets clothes nice and clean. Washes take a bit longer then a top loader but I don't mind. If you're looking for a good washer you won't be disappointed.

I just upgraded my washer and dryer set from a Samsung front load to this Amazing LG set. I thought my clothes were getting clean with the old set but I was so wrong!! My husband has been working in a nitrogen plant and has been bringing me home some really filthy clothes to wash and I was getting as much black out of his neon yellow coat as I possibly could.... or so I thought! Once this new LG washer arrived I used the pre-wash cycle combine with heavy soiled cycle and OMG was his jacket clean when it came out!!!! I cant believe how fast this machine is and how clean my clothes are actually getting!! So thrilled with this new washer!!!

This LG washer checks all the needs I had; efficient, multiple settings, and as a bonus, it was SUPER quiet. Laundry does not take the entire day and my wife is really appreciative of that. This cleans clothes really well. Easy wipe down of the seals and draining hoses to maintain it, I hope it last for years!

I'm reviewing this washer and dryer combo together. I used to have a cheap-y stackable washer be dryer and I had to do about 4 loads a week and I felt it took all day! Now I can fit about 2-3 of those loads in this new washer/dryer and get it all done so much faster! I love all the various pre-set settings and it's nice to know when each cycle is complete with its little jingle. I was a bit concerned about the mildew issue that's prevalent in front load washers, but it's awesome that this washer has a magnet that keeps the door propped open a bit to let it air out. I haven't had it long enough to know if it's helped, and I've been making sure to dry out the extra water left at the door seal, so we'll see how that goes. So far it's been a game changer and I find myself wanting to do even more laundry and more often because it's so much simpler.

When my dryer broke, I decided to replace both the washer and dryer with higher efficiency models.
The first choice I had to make for the washer was between front-loading and top-loading. I had never had a front-loader before and after reading some complaints about issues with mold build-up on the door, I hesitated to get one. But everyone I talked with said that they do a better job and are very efficient, and that you can avoid the mold problems as long as you maintain the washer correctly. In the case of this washer, that means wiping down the inside of the door after every wash, and every few weeks, emptying a small drain at the base of the washer and rinsing out a plastic filter. You also should leave the door open for a while after you're done washing so the machine can totally dry out. Then you can close it, or leave it open just a crack.
If you are thinking "I don't want the bother", I understand, and a top-loader is probably what you'll want to go with, since all front-loaders require some routine maintenance (top-loaders should be cleaned around the door, too, but not as often). But I decided that the routine didn't sound too challenging, and as it turned out, it really isn't. And the trade-off is worth it, at least for me.
This washer does an excellent job. It requires very little soap (I had been using way too much even with my old washer). It has a "turbo drive" feature that spins the clothes at high speed so they are very dry when they come out, which shortens the time in the dryer. So far, I have had no trouble with unbalance loads, an issue I had often with the old machine.
And by following the simple maintenance routine, the washer has stayed clean and dry with no sort of build-up of any kind.
I also bought the pedestal to bring both machines up to a more comfortable level for loading and unloading.
I highly recommend this washer.

After 10 years with a frontal load washer we needed a new one. After several hours online reading reviews we hit the trigger on this LG.
We really like that it senses the clothing (by weight probably), so it will run just for the time required on that load! We have seen it finish in 15-20 min, not like our old one that ran full cycle.
Also it is very quiet and ample to load.
