Replacing my 2003 HE Sears Calypso top rated consumer reports set, with a top load mess of a washer. So coming from the dark ages. The front load washer does a really nice job. Purchased this unit for the steam and turbo wash (43 min cycle) and washer clean-out option. I have had the units for 30-40 loads now and am really happy with them. I think all of the new washer/dryers are overpriced and just accepted that. The washer does a really good job on dark clothes with no soap residue issues I constantly battled with my top load. The clothes come out very clean but not like new as I saw on another post. I was able to freshen up some old white golf shirts using the steam cycle and shout/scrub brush therapy. Our laundry room (tiny) is located adjacent to the family and I rarely hear any noise from the units while running. I have had two occasions where the washer loads were unbalanced and it made a racket. But 98% of the time I am very happy with the noise. Pulling out laundry from a front load is a bit of a pain but the clothes are so much cleaner than from our terrible top load I don't think I will go back. The dryer does a really nice job, where clothes are perfectly dry and the heat is not insanely hot like our old unit. I have filled up the washer with large loads and a loads as small as a single pair of dance pants and the units have done very well. The best buy install went well, but I needed a side vent on the dryer and they would not do that. So if you need that then be prepared to purchase the $80 side vent kit and pull the entire dryer apart to install the new vent. LG claims you can install without pulling the unit apart but unless you have tiny hands and boat loads of patience I would follow the youtube videos and pull the unit apart to install. Really happy with the units and would definitely recommend them. I purchased the 5-year extended warranty on the washer as I expect it to have issues if it is anything like my first HE washer.

Washer shakes and has vibration during rinse spin.

bulky cycle have pounding noise and extra high spin make really big noise and the whole machine spin too.

Wish I could review it. Mine was delivered with a defective on/off switch. Waiting 9 days for delivery of another machine.

This washer was very loud, so much noise from the beginning of the cycle. We had to return for another machine.

This washer does poor cleaning... minimal water washes heavy loads in 20 minutes and stuff always come out with the stains

The washer bangs when it spins although I bought it with scratches and dents the machine is not acceptable.

Do not have waste your time. You will end up sending back.

Fast drying time, very quiet, and efficient. Save on electricity, water, and detergent. Now looking forward to instead of dreading laundry time. LOL!

This machine is great. Its convenient and quite. Its made very sturdy and im really impressed by it.

I bought the washer in May 2016. Two weeks ago (2/15/2017), the washer broke. Called Geek Squad who said it was less than a year old I had to call the manufacturer. LG was less than kind. They first said they had no repairmen in my area. Then the supervisor said I should go to a laundry mat to get my clothes done because it would be a few weeks to find a service company and get them out there. Long discussion there. A service company came on Monday of last week. On Wednesday the service called to say the part was unavailable and to call LG to have the washer replaced. Called LG who said the part was available, it just wasn't being manufactured at the time and I would have to wait until the part was made. How long? There was no ETA on the part. So, I asked to speak to the supervisor who said the same thing and then claimed I was lying about when I purchased the washer. He said he would send me a link to my yahoo account to upload my receipt. I said I did not have a yahoo account and he belligerently disagreed with me. Finally, got the email straightened out and he hung up on me mid-sentence. My husband called and was treated like a king. He was transferred to executive customer service. They placed our claim with the returns department who denied the claim. The customer service rep working with my husband resubmitted the claim on Friday and I just received a call today stating they would replace it. Finally!! Two weeks and a whole lot of tears and anger later I now have to wait to hear from Best Buy (but BB has to get the authorization from LG before they can move ahead) to get this machine replaced. This washer and dryer will be last LG product we ever purchase. It was not so much the product breaking as it was the customer service or the lack of customer service LG provided.

I read a lot of the reviews and some are all over the place with their comments.So far the LG blows the competition away on cleaning and speed. We like so much we are getting the dry that matches it. I would say if your doubtful, remember why you are shopping for a new washer any way!

I purchased the washer and dryer combo with sidekick at end of November 2016. Took delivery in December 2016. It was very noisy from the beginning but steadily worse. Bad by the fall of 2017 and terrible by January 2018. I called a service tech out to see it and he said the drum was broken. $750 repair. However, good news is drum is warranted even if I am a month out of the labor warranty. But he tells me "good luck" working with LG. It has now been more than two months trying to get a service tech and the part. It has been so bad. And all this time we have not had a washing machine. Two service techs have looked at it and they tell me that no one wants to work on them because of having to deal with LG. I had a third one who wouldn't even come to the house to look at it. I am sure it was for the same reason. So, it is a throw away washer. As long as you don't have problems you will probably like it. But if it breaks you are in deep trouble. Read the other low reviews and you will see they have the same problems. I will never buy another LG. Now I am stuck with a LG dryer, pedestal, and a sidekick washer and no main washer. I spent thousands on this and this is what I got. It is still not solved. I am on hold with LG for the umpteenth time. Buyer beware!!!! If you do buy one, make sure you buy the longest extended Best Buy warranty. But even there you may have problems judging by another review. Good luck!

Washer cleans great and is quiet. Turbowash is a great feature when in a time crush. High spin is basically dry

We have really enjoyed having this washer. The rings are difficult to clean and get moldy quickly.

The water discharge pump broker after 1 1/2 years from the purchase date. The pump shaft just broke in two. Poor quality part. The good news is that I got the warranty and Geek Squad had me up and running in 3 days. No washing machine or dryer are reliable anymore . Owned Samsung before this and it broker once a year. I would probably buy this again. Get the warranty!!!!

LG Turbowash 4.5 Cu. Model WM377OHVA is listed if you type in washing machines with reversible doors, first on their web page. Called store in Mission Valley, and Salesperson verified this. My login at that time had a glitch, so my wife logged on, added account, and ordered it. All good until arrived, and after construction 15-20 days later, washer hooked up. 1. The door is not reversible like the matching dryer we already have. 2. The rubber inside is always wet with water, and smells. 3. The slide tray on top has no lip, and does not glide in easily, spilling bleach on you, and the floor. Called customer service and wanted to exchange it. Nope... my wife's new account is not Elite, but mine is. That was not good enough. We explained the login problem, and their customer service said "yes, we are working on that problem. But there is nothing we can do. My Military wife called again, and must have called in the troops because now we have a service call to evaluate the door. That's it. Poorest customer service ever, and I am an Elite Member since 2004. Last appliance we ever buy at "NOT BEST BUY".

Very disappointed in this washer. Like all front load washers, the gasket has a significant problem with mold and mildew--even with regular cleanings. My wife also complains that the clothes don't seem clean after washing. Moreover, there appears to be a known issue with drain pump failure after 4-6 years. We've just experienced this on our unit at the 6 year mark. Washers should last 10-14 years on the whole.
