Looks just like an imac screen. Absolutely love using this with my macbook pro.

The most crisp, beautiful, and glossy monitor out there. The 5k screen was everything I could have hoped for and more. Unfortunately both units I got were either defective or the screen stopped working after a week. Very frustrating and recurring problem with this monitor. Stay away please

Love this 5k monitor. Bought this to replace another defective 5k monitor I had before that would not power up. This monitor works well with my MacBook Pro 16. It's connected so that I can have a larger workspace with two of these monitors. A much cleaner larger 5k look.

The best monitor, hands down! Especially if you're using it with an apple computer.

The image quality is stunning, however my monitor arrived with a dead pixel near the middle of the screen... for what I paid, this is unacceptable. I'll be exchanging for another same monitor, I'll update my review then.

This particular monitor was a replacement for an identical monitor that worked fine and as expected; however, it failed after four months. Also, it does not appear that LG has fully thought through the design and implementation of the accompanying software since it has significant limitations.

This monitor is Apple only. Apparently Windows doesn't support 5K yet at this size. There may be way to run it at 4K in Windows, but my tech found it impractical. Best Buy were great about the return. I'll try to buy this wen it becomes Windows-supported at 5K.

Got this to use with Windows via Bootcamp on a MacBook Pro 16". While it works fine on MacOs, when running Windows via Bootcamp it's not even recognized as a device of any sort. I installed the LG Screen Manager app on MacOS. It's useless.

The LG 5K is the same panel the iMac Pro 27 uses... it is top of the line and truly an amazing price at $1299. There is literally no competition in the 5K arena. I use this with my 15" MacBook Pro's to have a Pro setup at the office but a portable "office" when I am on the go. This new model also works with the iPad Pro at 4K.

The USB C charges my 16" MacBook Pro flawlessly! I have had several LG monitors in the past and have been almost perfect. This LG 5K is what I consider perfect today. I know in the future my level of accepting perfection and excellence will change, but for today I am very happy and glad I spent the extra funds to acquire. I have an office that allows a bit of sun during the afternoon hours. The ability to turn up the brightness takes care of any glare issues. The contrast and color are fantastic! In this day of needing to ZOOM every day, the built-in camera and mic have allowed me to keep the MBP clam closed all day and out of the way:)

This monitor until recently was the only Thunderbolt 3 option for a MacPro 7.1 2019 desktop other than the XBR at ~3X the price. Visually it is a great display but has major flaws. In particular a flaky internal USB Hub. If other devices are connected to its internal hub, other than the computer it may result in a kernel panic on computer shutdown which manifests itself as a long shutdown delay and either a kernel panic on restarting or a 'watchdog' error message on login or both, The LG internal hub also has very limited power capability and over straining it such as charging devices from it may damage the board requiring repair. This was reported to me by an authorized repair center of my previous unit who showed me a stack of interface boards when I took my previous one in for repair. I took my previous one into repair after it failed after having it for 15 months - 3 months out of warranty. It was unable to be repaired due to display failure. The only support or compensation I received from LG was a few hundred-dollar check to purchase a new one as the cost of repair was the same or more than a new unit. While a solid stand it lacks freedom of movement. Horizontal movement is limited and the monitor cannot be rotated into portrait mode. I chose to use the VERSA mount and purchase a StarTech Monitor Stand which allows this. My advice, should you choose to purchase this monitor, be sure to get an extended warranty; do not use the rear connectors for anything other than connecting to the computer; and replace the stand with one that offers more flexibility.

Seamless integration with Mac OS, brilliant colors, retina-like sharpness. Ive had one for three years snd traveled to several states with it, and never gad a problem. About to buy a second one for a new Mac Mini.

I loved this monitor until the Thunderbolt 3 input port failed. For an expensive monitor, it’s really disappointing to have a cheap connector cause $1599 monitor to no longer be usable.
