When my iMac finally aged out of usefulness I decided that rather than getting a new one (which is smaller-why smaller Apple? Grumble grumble…) I would get a Mac mini and spend a chunk of $ on a new large monitor. I am dealing with zoom classes and scientific data, spreadsheets and other such programs and find I need more screen real estate than ever before. This is more than enough room for everything I need to view at once.
The fact that I can also hook other things up to this monitor really let me shift my entertainment habits as well. I already had a PS5 but decided, I am going to invest in physical media. I am over having multiple streaming services. So I ordered the LG - UBK80 - 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player to use with the monitor and couldn’t be happier. I am growing my blu-ray collection, and picking up new and old CDs (thrifting old CDs & Blu-ray’s or DVDs is a new favorite pastime) and feel oddly freed?
I do want to be clear that I’m not a graphic artist, or animator, and I’m just happy to have a large screen with good resolution for my needs. Basically I found a multifunctional screen that works as a computer monitor, video game display, and movie screen in my average sized office space (i.e. my spare room) and it’s perfect for me.

Good price point, decent monitor. Wish it were larger.
1. Love the remote, easier to use than the buttons at the bottom
2. Resolution in pretty Decent
Cons:
1. The HDR is blinding for use on a computer, I turned it off
2. Monitor should have been a little larger diagnollly for more efficient use of the split screen.

This is a fantastic Monitor for apple computers not only because it utilizes USB-C, but because it gives you a clear resolution that you will often not get from other monitors. Newer Apple computers need to have a monitor with "Retina display/UltraFine" (Look this up before buying something else, its a pixel density requirement), otherwise, the images will appear slightly less sharp and TEXT will look grainy. (*Recent experience with Samsung Neo G9).

It BIGGG. Great monitor for traditional Microsoft office / Zoom / Web worker. By dragging apps to corners, you can create four traditional monitors in 2x2 setup or have the equivalent of two vertical monitors in one screen (dragging two apps to midway point of right or left screen). I don't use PIP mode. Solid clarity and refresh when using USBC to DisplayPort connection. May need Thunderbolt 4 or equivalent for USB-C to USB-C connection. Perfect partner for new base Mac Mini M2.
User settings:
80 Brightness
60 contrast
50 Sharp
Super Resolution High
Black level 45
Gamma 2.2

Overall Great Monitor. This was the largest monitor I could find at a reasonable price. I am considering buying another. Give yourself time to adjust to using a large monitor like this if you haven't used one before it took me a week or two to get used to it. Now that I am its hard to imagine ever using a smaller monitor again.
There are only two minor issues that I have experienced with this monitor.
1: The usb ports do not charge devices when connected. I do not know why they don't work but they don't. If this is some sort of setting someone please let me know but I don't believe this is the case.
2: There should be a dedicated input button on the monitor. Switching between inputs is possible with the select nub but it is a cumbersome process, you have to press the nub in, sometimes more than once then move it to the left to select input then finally a list of inputs shows up then you move up or down selecting the input and pressing in once again. Pressing up on the nub does nothing if they simply coded this to switch inputs that would have solved the issue. Using the remote is much easier because there is a dedicated input button on the remote. But I do not want to rely on a remote control for a computer monitor.
I hope that they come out with an even larger monitor in the future either 48inch 50 or even 55. I will happily upgrade.

Just right for a computer desktop multi-display. I added an external tuner/recorder/converter for broadcast TV. And attached a Blu-ray player for watching DVD content. The internal speakers have clear sound. The pc camera fits nicely on top. Great multi-entertainment system.

I often have many windows open and my old small monitor just didn't do the job anymore. This 43'' 4K UHD monitor was the solution and it did not disappoint. It provides a great sharp image. Comes with USB-C connection!

I'd say this is excellent with a caveat...
If you're looking at this monitor, you're probably looking for maximum productivity and possibly a side of gaming. The size is right, the resolution is right, and handling 60hz is not bad, either.
It has 4 HDMI inputs (two can handle 60hz - #3 and 4) that you can use for picture by picture (PBP) or picture in picture (PIP). All of this can be controlled via a nice remote that's included. That was a nice touch considering you might be sitting back a bit further from this than a "normal-sized" monitor. There is a nice joystick "hidden" below the bottom center that can be used to control the OSD, but the remote is much easier to manage.
Color is decent to excellent - it's IPS, but has low contrast so blacks are more greys, but overall it's good. Probably not someone's first choice for color-critical work anyway, but it's more than good for everyone else! Mine came with no dead pixels, no issues. Rtings mentioned they received excellent color reproduction after calibration.
Games look great and though I love my Dell 27" 1440p 120hz monitor, apparently I'm not a pro gamer! The size of this makes games way more immersive. I'll probably move my PS4 pro to one of the inputs since I'm at my desk more than I am in the TV room!
CAVEAT:
So the one caveat is this is a BGR layout screen - what this means is that the subpixels (the smaller "cells" that make up a pixel that are usually Red Green Blue) are reversed here. For most things it's a non-issue, but in Windows, it can make text look blurry or have color artifacts. Windows will try to use "ClearType" (font smoothing) to make things better, but since that's based on an RGB layout, it makes things worse. I'd recommend not using "ClearType" at all or using "Better Clear Type", an open-source project on Github, that allows you to test different levels of contrast and subpixel layouts to improve the look of it. If you're interested in learning more, read DisplayNinja's BGR vs RGB article.
Note, it seems that Mac OS doesn't have an issue with this based on how they try to smooth fonts, so unfortunately it seems like a Windows issue only.
OVERALL
Overall this is a great monitor! It's a keeper since it's going to make me more productive - multiple email accounts and spreadsheets all in one view are no problem.

The LG-43" UltraFine 4K UHD Monitor has improved my efficiency working with my computer. The size of the screen allows me to have multiple panes open and visible. Viewing information on multiple sources without having to switch/flip screens is very helpful. Clarity and definition on the new monitor is excellent.

Provides good image for watching TV and use as a computer monitor. For my use, the Picture in Picture capabilities was not so useful. Nice to have a remote. The speakers on the tv are decent but for this price, LG should’ve thrown in a more decent speaker, or an optical out so you could connect it to a soundbar or powered speakers.

Ohhh my...what an experience with this one. Can't say much about the monitor because I returned it. Reason...too big and quite frankly not that much real estate as one would think. I switched to 2x 32" and can fit more and feels better. If your office, desk space is limited, don't buy43" monitor. stack 2 smaller ones or put them vertically next to each other.

Giant monitor which I use to show my laptop and desktop which is helpful as I migrate off the desktop to laptop. Deducted one star as the when the desktop is on the monitor will keep that window open and not go to sleep. I have to power it off. Love having a remote and options of different window views.

Great monitor. Takes a while getting used to such a large monitor. Would be nice if monitor auto detects active input. The first one had a dead pixel. Hopefully this one will be ok. Geek squad warranty replaced. Make sure they know this is a monitor not a TV. For TV warranty they require 3 dead pixels before replacing.

My 32" monitor died. I was tired of dual monitor setups, so I bought this one. I easily get all my windows up at the same time. The resolution and screen area mean I can get my entire spreadsheet on the screen at once.
I actually have two--one at work and one at home.

I love the big screen. I am able to have all of my work apps up and running at the same time which is huge. My only issues is that the screen will randomly go to a black screen and it takes 10-15 minutes to get the screen back again. Happens at least 1-2 a week. Still working with LG on a resolution after a month.

The monitor is great but plan to get an upgrade on your other computer parts as well, like a video adapter card. If you use curbside pick up, it may take the store over an hour to locate this device.

I'm involved in graphic design, and I needed a good, large, high-quality monitor for my work. I spent a long time searching online. I read many reviews and watched numerous videos on YouTube. In the end, I chose the LG - 43" UltraFine 4K UHD Monitor. I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. The monitor is very large, allowing me to work on projects and read news or communicate on social media simultaneously. I appreciate the brightness and clarity of the image, as well as the ability to connect this monitor to multiple computers at once!

I had tried a couple of solutions for the second monitor in my office. My main monitor is an ultra-wide which is great for linear-based editing and the like but sucks for normal tasks where there isn't enough vertical space. This monitor really ticks all the boxes, has a very nice image and plenty of brightness.

I recently upgraded my workstation with the LG 43" UltraFine 4K UHD Monitor in sleek Black, and I have been nothing short of impressed with its performance and features.
The standout feature of this monitor is its stunning 4K UHD resolution. The clarity, sharpness, and color accuracy are truly remarkable. Whether I'm working on intricate design projects, watching 4K movies, or simply browsing the web, the visual quality is consistently outstanding. The size of the screen enhances productivity and immersive viewing experiences, making multitasking a breeze.
The USB-C connectivity is a game-changer. It not only simplifies cable management but also allows for a single-cable connection to my laptop, providing power, video, and data transfer through a single cord. This streamlined setup has made my workspace much cleaner and more organized.
The monitor's color accuracy is excellent, making it ideal for content creators and professionals who rely on accurate color representation. It covers a wide color gamut and supports HDR content, delivering vibrant and true-to-life visuals.
Additionally, the inclusion of multiple ports, including USB-A and HDMI, adds to its versatility. It's easy to connect various devices, from external hard drives to gaming consoles, without the need for additional adapters.
The build quality is sturdy, and the minimalist design adds a touch of sophistication to my workspace. The adjustable stand and VESA mount compatibility allow for customization to suit my ergonomic preferences.
While the LG UltraFine 4K UHD Monitor is undoubtedly a top-tier product, the price may be a bit steep for some. However, considering the exceptional display quality, connectivity options, and overall performance, it's a worthy investment for anyone seeking a premium monitor for professional work or entertainment.
In conclusion, the LG 43" UltraFine 4K UHD Monitor with USB-C Connectivity is a standout product that has greatly enhanced my computing experience. Its impressive display, convenient connectivity, and build quality make it an excellent choice for both productivity and entertainment. If you're willing to invest in quality, this monitor is worth every penny.
