Decent budget monitor, but would look elsewhere. A bit bulky because it has a build in fan in the back.

Hi, there. Thanks for reaching out about your LG Monitor (27G810A‑B) model. We understand the importance of having a monitor that delivers the brightness and build quality you expect.

For the brightness issue, one helpful step is to check the HDR and Picture Mode settings on your monitor. If HDR is enabled on a non‑HDR source, or if the monitor is set to a low‑brightness picture preset such as Reader Mode, the screen can appear dimmer than expected. Switching to Gamer 1, Gamer 2, or Custom Mode and adjusting the Brightness and Black Stabilizer settings can help you get a clearer, brighter image. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-monitor-how-to-adjust-screen-brightness--20153186700654. We’d be glad to take a closer look at your experience. Great Monitor For Gaming 1st & Home Office 2nd

This is my review of the LG - UltraGear (Model 27G810A-B) 27" IPS Dual Mode (4K UHD 180Hz, FHD 360Hz), 1ms, NVIDIA G-SYNC, AMD Freesync Gaming Monitor (HDMI, DP, USB-C) upon which I rate at 5 out of 5 stars. Out of the box the monitor comes with a quick setup guide, power supply adapter, 1 display port cable, 1 HDMI cable, monitor stand and base.                            The monitor is very easy to assemble by simply attaching the stand neck to the back of the monitor chassis supporting a VESA mount 100mm x 100mm and then fastening the monitor base with the thumbscrew to the stand neck per figures as shown in the .  The monitor glides well on the stand with adjustments for height, pivot, swivel, and tilt.  Under the UltraGear logo, at the bottom of the monitor yields a multi-directional control button to aid in your video set-up.  On the left backside of the monitor, you will find a DC-IN power jack, DisplayPort ver. 1.4 and 2-HDMI ports ver. 2.1, plus 2 USB ports, and 1 USB-B port ver. 3.0.  On the front bottom right of center you will find a 3.5mm audio jack supporting DTS-X headphone.   This monitor packs all the features needed for everyday use, graphics design, and gaming.  The 27” display is good to use in confined spaces or to pair with another monitor for dual monitor use.  This IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel type monitor possesses 1ms (gray to gray) response time along with dual mode (4K UHD 180Hz, FHD 360Hz) with a max resolution of 3840 x 2160 allowing for great color consistency, ultra responsive cinematic/graphic gaming or daily work from home tasks all with viewing from extreme angles as supported at 178 degrees.  To place the monitor in dual mode, you simply utilize the control botton on the bottom of the monitor and select "Dual-Mode".  The monitor brightness at 400 cd/㎡ (or 400 NIT) along with Certified DisplayHDR 400 and HDR 10 is great for use in bright rooms without the need for shades.  The icing on the cake making this a monitor to own is its synchronization having G-SYNC (NVIDIA Adaptive Sync), FreeSync Premium (AMD Adaptive Sync) features.  On a side note, there is no built-in Webcam or speakers, but many users prefer higher specs of add-on peripherals offering greater specs/features. You cannot go wrong with this monitor and highly recommend it.  I hope you enjoyed reading my review and it aided in your purchase decision.

The LG-UltraGear 27" IPS Dual Mode 4k UHD FHD 360Hz. There's a definite upgrade to any PC gamer. A 27-in LED that gets really immersive with gameplay, with a resolution boasting 3840x2160. And an excellent 180 Hertz refresh rate. I was impressed by the blacks on this monitor, very, very nice. Really deep, and as a contrast to what you've got going on in gameplay. And with the IPS display, you get immersive views that are wider and more visually appealing. It is also HDR-compatible. You can also connect to graphics cards or devices, which is really lovely for split-screen gameplay. I was able to watch an excellent 4K video on her, and the refresh rate was excellent during fast-moving scenes. It comes with one DisplayPort and two HDMI 2.1 ports, offering broad compatibility. I would have loved a built-in webcam, but no biggie. It also doesn't come with speakers, so just put that out there. If you're looking for a fully loaded, fantastic monitor, check this one out.

So LG is trying to make gamers broke. That's okay. I appreciate the effort they put into it. 😉 I really like this monitor. My eyes are getting older and some how I have gotten a bit more picky when it comes to what I have to stare at for at least ten hours a day. Heard good things about this dual mode technology that are rolling out in monitors. This one did a very good job of handling everything I could throw at it. 180Hz at 4K was kind of crazy. I finally upgraded my video card to be able to enjoy some older games that I was playing at 720p for years. Love the Ultra setting at native resolution on this bad boy. I almost fell out my chair when I tried Crysis at 1080p. Minimal ghosting, colors where nice and sharp at both resolutions. 27 inch monitors are definitely the sweet spot for me. Had a 32 inch 1440p and it just wasn't bright enough. A PS5 or Xbox and and a properly powered gaming rig would be great combo with this monitor. Controls are easy to use. Stand is sturdy and the rotation is pretty cool if you use this as a secondary monitor. I'd definitely recommend picking up one of these if you are thinking about upgrading your monitor.

Hi, Ken. Thank you for reaching out. We understand the importance of having your LG Monitor (27G810A‑B) model perform reliably right out of the box, and we appreciate you sharing what happened with the screen flickering.

One helpful step you can try before returning it—if you still have it connected—is checking that the refresh rate is set to 240 Hz in your device’s display settings and that the DisplayPort or HDMI cable is fully seated on both ends. A loose or low‑spec cable can sometimes cause intermittent flicker. For more information, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-monitor-troubleshooting-a-shaking-screen--20153192710854. If you need further assistance, please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. We're here to help. ^Juvy LG

    Greate Gaming Monitor

I have use way to many monitors over the years. So many different specs so many things to compare. What I can say about the 27" LG UltraGear is that as a consumer. I have 0 complaints. Sure if you really not pick. I'm sure you can find something marginally better but for the majority of consumers who want a nice gaming monitor so they no longer feel they are at a disadvantage due to input lag. This monitor will solve that issue for you. The colors look accurate, tearing is not noticeable. Vsync and Gsync work fine. For wed browsing the text is easy to read not hard on the eyes. For gaming or media content consumption the brights and blacks are great. The colors are not saturated or cause skin to look blotchy. The build quality is on par for what other provide for the price point. The stand could be better. It does not provide all the versatility others have engineered into there's but once again. That is a specific application or use that probably won't be an issue for the vast majority of consumers. As a consumer. I enjoy gaming competitively and do not feel like my monitor is giving me a disadvantage.

    Good all-arounder 4k monitor.

I bought this monitor, a MINILED monitor (Acer XV275K) , and an OLED 240hz (AW2725Q) This is the one I kept. The OLED looked amazing, and I would have kept it maybe if its was for games only (but this is mostly for work). The OLED caused a headache and text looked terrible on it (even though it was 4k). The MiniLED was filled with flaws and bugs though the display was very nice looking. This one is a great "all things" monitor, with premium design, build, and features. Recommended.

Monitor is great. Only leaving a 4 star because the original was a lemon (bad panel, blacked out off and on). Best Buy replaced immediately. Good monitor if you can find it on sale.
