Nice monitor but had it's issues
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was a great monitor but within a week of owning it the monitor started to flicker when being used and when I went to turn it on one day it had vertical banding. Was a bummer cause it was a great monitor outside of those issues.

DO NOT BUY
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY This monitor met the spec advertising, HOWEVER, I had this monitor for less than 2 months and showed red vertical lines and would randomly go static, and soon after would completely shut down. You do have 12 months of Factory Warranty with LG DO KEEP IN MIND they will not replace your monitor if it is considered not repairable, they will send it back as is.

Screen stopped working one month in
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit was great … for one month. Then all I saw were red and white vertical lines. The issue began while in the middle of game play. Incredibly frustrating. Still waiting for LG to either refund me or send a new unit as well. Stay away from LG gaming monitors.

E-Waste ready!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Developed some kind of bleed line between two segments of the screen. This is a second monitor and is rarely used so, of course it was just out of warranty when I noticed it. Checking with the manufacturer, they do not offer any kind of out of warranty service, so my only option is to replace it. I will not be purchasing any LG monitors in the future. I do not wish to contribute to E-Waste.

Broke in a month
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1 month in and the monitor no longer works properly. Now I have to go through LG warranty and won't have a monitor for about two weeks. LG service isn't that responsive as well. They want me to send it in for repair. Pretty much I'll end up with a refurbed monitor for $300 and not have a monitor for 2 weeks. I'll change the review if they'll actually refund or send me a new monitor.

Poor Hardware and Manufacturing Defects
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The monitor arrived with a manufacture defect. The package is undamaged but after setting it up the screen immediately started flickering 'salt and pepper' lines horizontally down the screen. The display port wasn't even connected yet. I've owned 6 monitors, none of them LG, and I've never had a problem with manufacturing defects. It seems to be a common problem when I looking at other reviews for all the ultra gear monitors.

HDMI to DisplayPort doesn’t work with PS5
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried to run HDMI to Display port with the PS5 and the monitor isn’t registering it. I’m getting an error code saying check DisplayPort settings and that it doesn’t match the device(PS5) settings. I wanted to run 120hz. Sucks that it doesn’t. I tried all the settings on the monitor and it didn’t work.

Going 144hz on LG with a fast 1ms is so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot stress enough how much of a difference it is going from 60hz to 144hz. I didn't care for it for the longest time but my friend finally pushed me to consider a newer monitor to hit at least 144hz and man was he RIGHT. I have a similar monitor from LG that is a 4k version that is 60hz and it's a solid monitor with a better color gamut good for content creation like photoshop and lightroom. This LG 1440 monitor at 144hz is absolutely perfect for ideal gaming. Ripping through games at high speed and looks gorgeous is more that I could ever hope for. Has all the gaming features built into the monitor as well as crosshair setting for those games with no crosshair! Mounted perfectly to my VESA mount stand and plays beautiful on my 5800x, 4070 OC machine. Butter smooth performance. Got it on sale and would happily buy it again. Hopefully it lasts me forever.

I am happy with this product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using it for just a month and Best Buy says i have to give it a review if i wanted to be considered for a 400 dollar bonus. It is working just fine. Subjectively, for what I use ( photography and 3D computer graphics / Unreal Engine purposes, it works fine, i have nothing to complain about. I wish it has mechanism to help it stand higher from the desk.

Great Quality for the Money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very satisfactory display quality for a 1440p monitor at this price, using it as a 2nd monitor but have tried gaming on it and it works great! Only complaint is that the stand is non-adjustable height-wise, but if you can easily swap it to something else if you aren't as lazy as I am.

Crisp, Fast, and Easy on the Eyes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This LG UltraGear 27” monitor really hits the sweet spot for gaming and everyday use. The QHD resolution makes games and videos look sharp, and the 144Hz refresh rate with 1ms response keeps everything smooth without screen tearing. Colors are vibrant thanks to HDR, and G-SYNC compatibility works flawlessly with my setup. It’s been great for both gaming and work—easy to look at for hours without eye strain.

Great for Both Gaming and Creativity!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first monitor of this kind with all these fancy features and specs. Though this is marketed as a gaming monitor, I intended to use this for creative/production purposes as well. The image is vibrant and sharp, which has worked splendidly for me. Although you might be better off investing in a monitor that features a higher resolution than this 2K/1440p display if you intend to use it for creativity and production, this monitor's HDR capability and screen size are something you should also consider. As for games, they look and run astonishingly well. Though you will get the most out of this monitor by hooking up your PC or PS5/Xbox Series console, Nintendo Switch games look great on it as well. You can plug in up to three devices, with the available DisplayPort and 2 X HDMI connections available, and you can customize the appearance for each through the display's settings. The monitor also comes with an 3.5mm audio output, but I've experienced poor sound quality when using it. You're better off plugging in headphones or speakers directly into your device, which is probably the intention anyway. The audio quality is a let-down, but not a deal-breaker. If you can afford it, this monitor is great if you're making the jump from 1080p 60hz for the first time. You'll notice the difference like night and day, and the colors pop out especially with the use of HDR. Highly recommend!

Decent Middle Ground!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The GN800-b is supposedly similar to the GN850-b without the full adjustable stand and nano-ips screen tech. I wanted something to use with my laptop and something to replace my current monitor to play my new friend p to the s 5. That meant I ain’t gonna wait forever for the hdmi 2.1 monitors to be affordable, and something to play 120fps (1080p) and fake 4k 60hz without breaking the bank. After some research and current stock availability- this seemed to be the “decent middle ground” that I could invest for a few years and also if I really wanted to play 4k 120hz I will just upgrade my TV. Lots of fiddling around on the screen setting (too dark, too yellow at times, too cool etc etc) for different game types but I found a “decent middle ground”. I played netflix full screen and had some light adjustment flickering with the subtitle changes - don’t know what that’s about. But I won’t be watching anything too often anyways. I don’t have the glow corners or dead pixel even with mail man delivery so I guess I got a good panel lottery and ain’t too fussy about glow people shared as a big concern with ips panels. Anyways, I wouldn’t of bought it if it was $400... get it now will it’s on sale and $100 cheaper than the gn850-b.

Crisp and Clean 1440p Display Cant beat the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first 1440p monitor for gaming/unreal engine 5 development and let me tell you the jump from 1080p to 1440p is incredible. I have a LG TV and have always liked their products. For 1440p at 144hz the price is also really good. The display is crisp, clean, and responsive. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the stand. It comes with a screw on stand and it is just not very adjustable. I think the 165hz model comes with a better stand, I wish they would have put the same stand on this model. Regardless so far it has been a fantastic monitor and I very much recommend it.
