LG's 27" UltraGear OLED QHD Gaming Monitor is a marvelous display. It comes feature packed with HDMI 2.1 and Displayport 1.4. I felt the 0.03 ms response time difference compared to my old monitor, it's subtle but feels very nice. The monitor also includes compatibility with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium as well as VRR and HDR10. The monitor came securely packaged and had everything you need to get setup including both HDMI and Displayport cables as well as a coin battery for the included remote control. There are two things I wish the monitor had being 1.) A slightly brighter display for use in bright rooms (thankfully my monitor is not in a bright room and 2.) Smart TV features for video streaming services that you can run in Picture in Picture or when not in use with another device for the price this seems like an oversight. Gaming performance was superb and the colors and angles never looked so good to my eyes. I thought that the anti-glare coating was not that harsh but I tend to like matte displays. The stand is very solid and allows you to turn and rotate your display to your liking. It does have an RGB light on the back that you can color customize as well as turn off if you don't like the light. Be sure to enable all of the OLED care features as that will maintain your display looking pristine. If you're looking for the top tier in monitors look no further this is it!

Wow. Image clarity, colors, HDR, are all top-notch compared to previous high-end IPS panels I've owned. OSD being managed by a remote is bad and LG should feel bad. Max brightness (full window) is relatively dim, but my desk never catches direct sunlight so it's never a problem.

I've had the pleasure of gaming with this monitor over the last week with my PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. When I first set it up, the first thing I set up was my PS5 and I was immediately amazed by the colors and contrast straight out of the box. I loaded Spiderman Miles Morales and it just pops on this monitor. This monitor pairs very nicely with a PS5, it automatically set up the best refresh rates and 1440 resolution. Like others have mentioned, the monitor is a little dim (compared to IPS or VA panels) but it isn't so dim that I have a hard time gaming on it. But that being said, I usually do most of my gaming later in the evening after work and tasks I had planned for the day. So I usually have my monitor set to a lower brightness anyway because maxing out screen brightness tends to hurt my eyes after extended periods. Gaming with the monitor with the lights on or with natural light coming through hasn't been an issue for me either. The antireflective coating does a great job during daytime and under room lights. Do I wish it was just a little bit brighter? Yes, but I'm sure LG has a good reason for limiting the brightness on this screen. Perhaps to prevent burn in?
Most importantly.. Response times on this monitor are amongst the best Ive ever gamed on. I have not noticed any ghosting, tearing or input lag at all. Whether gaming on a next gen console, or gaming PC.
I play alot of racing games and competitive multiplayer games, so the fast refresh rates are a must for me. If you play any racing, fighting or shooting game, You have to game on a monitor with fast refresh rates. If you are turned off by the fact that it isn't 4k, Trust me when I say that being able to game at 120-240hz @ 1440p is a much better upgrade then gaming @ 4K and 60hz.
Colors and Contrast ratio on this monitor are Amazing! The best I've ever gamed on. It definitely beats gaming on an IPS or VA panel for me. Blacks are Deep Black, and colors are perfectly saturated to my eyes.
Hardware - The stand is very sturdy and easy to put together. The Display also snaps on quite quickly and easily. There is only one button on the bottom that doesn't toggle many settings in the menu, but it comes with a remote which has been very easy and convenient to use. Make sure you don't lose it! Because I haven't found anyway to change some other settings with just the button. It has two HDMI 2.1 ports, a display port, an AUX (headphone ) port and Optical Audio port! I love love love that it has optical audio. My small bedroom sound bar only has optical audio jack so I can now hook that up to my monitor for gaming and movie watching. The "hexagram" lighting on the back is a pretty cool feature. Not necessary but It definitely sets the mood and helps my eyes stay adjusted for late night gaming.
Display size - At 27" I thought I might regret "downsizing" from a 32" but honestly I think I light gaming on a 27" better. I sit at a desk even when gaming on a console, so this size is like the goldilocks size. I can sit close and not feel overwhelmed. I found myself having to scoot back a little sometimes when gaming on my 32". 1440 resolution looks very good at this size.
Would I recommend this monitor? If you have the means, by all means. Splurge and treat yourself to this amazing monitor. I honestly feel like OLED is the future and best way to experience video games and movies. I think You'll love it as much as I do.
If I had any negatives to say about it, I would say is the max brightness. I don't know what the specs are. I tried looking online for info. Some say 200 nits, and others say 400 nits max. To my eyes, it looks about 300ish nits. But the positives of this monitor definitely make it worth your money.

As soon as you cut the monitor on, you immediately notice the OLED difference! Black is genuinely black with this monitor. Now, I know many people complained about the matte finish on the monitor instead of a gloss finish...I would have connected my gaming rig to one of my LG OLED TVs if I wanted a monitor to look more like a TV. The matte finish to me gives it more of a monitor feel, which is excellent for when I'm doing non-gaming things on my computer. One of the very few gripes I have regarding the monitor is brightness. While the brightness rating is higher than most, side by side with a monitor rated to be not as bright, it looks dimmer. Still, the contrast is insane! Which partially makes up for the monitor seeming dimmer.
Gaming...I can feel and see a difference. While most monitors claim to have a one millisecond response time, LG claims this monitor has a .03 millisecond response time. Did I test it for accuracy? No...but I must admit, some of my games look better. This could be the combination of the response time and the 240 hz refresh rate, which, at 1440p with my 4090 I find myself gaming with far more FPS without noticing a huge difference in image quality. Gaming feels crisper. It could be the monitor or a placebo effect, but my experience with Battlefield 2042 and Apex Legends felt different. Whatever it is, I'm not switching back from this monitor to something else.
I've always been about having the best in tech entertainment, and LG has been my go-to for OLED TVs. With this monitor, they may now dominate my computer desk as well. Outside of improving brightness, seeing where LG goes to improve upon this product with their next release will be interesting.

Not really an expert on monitors, but I have been using this monitor for a month now and it has been great so far. Easy to set up and get going. Color quality is what you'd expect from OLED. Having a remote control for changing settings and input is a nice bonus as well. Crystal clear picture, bright brights, black darks and silky smooth frames make it great for gaming, which is primarily what I use it for. I have a dual monitor setup and my old primary monitor (1080p LED) is now my secondary, and sitting next to this one, I can't believe the difference! Is it worth $1,000? Meh. I do love it but I also could have had two really nice monitors for the price. I don't regret my purchase but I understand what I could have had otherwise. This was more of a birthday treat to myself more than anything. If you really want to upgrade to OLED, I would recommend this, otherwise there are plenty of other comparable quality non-OLED options for a lot less money out there.

This monitor is the sweet spot for gaming! OLED technology provides some of the best inky blacks and amazing contrast. Since it’s 1440p, it’s easier for most PCs to push higher frame rates, utilizing the 240hz refresh rate. With its 0.03 ms response time, motion clarity is the best you can get. This monitor has paired well with my Xbox SX and my PC (5800x & 3080Ti) The only downside is its low screen brightness at only 200nits. The firmware update claiming to improve brightness produced negligible results. Buy this monitor if you plan to use it in a darker room. It will be too dim if you play in a well-lit room next to a window or bright light source. That is my only gripe. Overall score for me is 4.5 out of 5.

Excellent monitor as long as you know the limitations of oled technology. Colors pop especially with hdr content on and the 240hz refresh rate is silky smooth. I really cannot understate how fast this monitor felt. This is with our a doubt the best looking monitor I have used so far. I strongly recommend this for gaming and watching movies.
However there are some cons to consider. You do have to have the right environment for this monitor to shine though. It's not bright so wherever room this monitor is in has to be dimly lit environment. Also, due to the sub pixel layout of this panel, text on webpages looks blurry and unfocused. I would definitely not recommend this monitor for browsing the internet or coding. Also you have to be careful of burn-in (as with all oled screens)

This display is a true visual treat, offering vibrant colors, deep blacks, and an exceptionally responsive experience. Gaming on this monitor feels incredibly immersive, thanks to its 240Hz refresh rate and near-instantaneous response time.
However, it's not without its downsides. The matte coating on the screen, while effective at reducing glare, does slightly compromise the sharpness and clarity, especially noticeable in brighter scenes. Additionally, the potential for burn-in, a common concern with OLED technology, is something to be mindful of. LG has integrated several features to mitigate this risk, like the 'Screen Move' and 'Screen Saver' functions, but it still requires a level of vigilance in usage.
I chose to use a monitor arm for mounting, which worked well, although the stand provided is of high quality and would likely satisfy many users. Another aspect to consider is the text clarity issues due to the WOLED layout. This may not be immediately noticeable to everyone, but it's an important factor, especially for users sensitive to such details. I highly recommend viewing this monitor in a store, or at least an OLED model with a similar subpixel layout, to ensure it meets your visual preferences.
While I can overlook its few shortcomings, they might be more significant for other users. If used purely for gaming and media consumption, then it is one of the best on the market. However, use for general browsing and school has shown to be slightly annoying. Overall, I rate the LG OLED 27GR95QE-B as a solid 4 out of 5.

This is an excellent but flawed monitor. OLED is by far and away the best display technology available today. Prior to this, I owned the highest end 4k, 240fps monitor money could buy from LG. I liked it, but I absolutely despised the backlight glow/bleed that ruins your black levels. All the TVs in our house are OLED, and the simple fact of the matter is, once you go OLED, you never go back. Well, I tried going back with that 4K, 240fps monitor, but I just couldn’t do it. So, after a year or so, I sold it and bought this OLED monitor. I downgraded to 1440p and a much dimmer screen. Was it worth it? Heck yeah it was! Black levels make a world of a difference. Truly. The picture on this is incredible, and the downgrade to 1440p is (to me at least) 100% impossible to tell unless you’re comparing monitors side by side. And even then, the advantages of OLED far outweigh the disadvantages. But, there is one glaring flaw. This monitor is just not bright enough. Not even close. If you can control the brightness level of the room, this is a great fit. Fortunately, I fall into this category, but it does mean I fool with the shades every time I want to game. If you have a bright room and don’t want to (or can’t) fool with blinds/shades etc., then you should probably wait until the next generation ups the knits.

Coming from an IPS with comparable specs, the colors and black levels really are outstanding on this monitor, but there are a few issues that overshadow that OLED wow-factor.
Despite the deafening outcry of hate regarding its anti-glare finish, that was ironically one of the least noticeable "issues" with the display. I'd say it's only (marginally) less vibrant than my LG CX 65 with its glossy finish, and during the day I'd much rather have a diffused black screen over a literal mirror showing my ogre-like appearance staring back through the void.
The refresh rate is great, but coming from a 144hz panel, 240hz honestly feels mostly the same. I was using both panels back and forth to compare and I couldn't really tell a difference. I'm not a competitive gamer though. If you have a tattoo of the CSGO logo on your back, maybe you'd be better suited to point out the difference.
The brightness is a legitimate issue though (during the day). Yes, I disabled power-saving settings. This in based on whatever highest-brightness settings I could squeeze out of the display. I have a relatively light-controlled room with only one set of windows, and I keep my blinds down and closed 95% of the time. During the early morning and mid-day, it's simply not bright enough. Er- maybe I should rephrase that. It's bright (enough) in that it certainly gets the job done. It's not literally unusable. But it's also dim enough that I find myself questioning its price tag. It just doesn't look that great during the day. At night, this is not an issue whatsoever. It looks outstanding in a dark room, so if you have blackout curtains and prefer a totally dark room 24/7, brightness is a non-issue.
Text fringing is something I expected to be overblown nit-picky nonsense, considering I've used low-PPI displays and OLEDs in the past, and low res and wonky sub-pixel text never bothered me before. That being said, it legitimately is noticeable with this display, and in my opinion is the single biggest drawback that makes the overall image look far worse than it otherwise should. I know it's more an issue with operating systems not directly supporting this sub-pixel layout, but regardless, any time I'd see text that had significant fringing, my wallet cried. If it were $500-750, I think this would be an easier pill to swallow, but at $1000, I don't think so.
All that being said, it legitimately does look amazing under specific circumstances. I personally think the play would be to wait another year or two for that fabled 32" 4K OLED to hit the market, or to just jump on a mini-LED like the Neo G8. I personally hate the prospect of waiting several years for new tech, so I jumped on this, but it honestly didn't wow me like I thought it would. YMMV.

The LG UltraGear 27-inch OLED monitor (Model 27GR95QE-B) has quickly become the cornerstone of my gaming setup, and I would unquestionably rate it a full 5/5 stars.
What stands out about this monitor is its sublime 2K resolution. The crystal-clear display brings games to life, immersing you in vibrant and sharp visuals. Paired with OLED technology, this monitor presents deep, inky blacks and a stunning array of colors, taking the gaming experience to an entirely new level.
Where this monitor truly shines is in its unparalleled performance in first-person shooter games. The blistering 240Hz refresh rate coupled with a swift 0.03ms response time creates a near-instantaneous and ultra-smooth gaming experience, a critical advantage in fast-paced FPS scenarios. Screen tearing and stuttering are virtually non-existent, thanks to G-Sync compatibility, ensuring that every moment of gameplay is seamless.
The UltraGear monitor also proves to be a versatile asset in any setup. The comprehensive USB-C port not only allows for easy connectivity but also provides fast data transfer and charging capability, a neat all-in-one solution. The ergonomically designed stand is an added bonus, offering adjustable height, tilt, and pivot options to find the most comfortable viewing angle for those long gaming sessions.
In terms of aesthetics, this monitor does not disappoint. The sleek design, coupled with a minimal bezel, offers an immersive gaming experience while complementing any desktop setup.
Last but not least, LG's customer service has been nothing short of stellar, always ready to assist and provide prompt solutions to queries.
Finally, brightness is perfect on this monitor and being a competitive fps player I see 0 issues with it. Simply perfect.
In conclusion, for those serious about FPS gaming, the LG UltraGear 27-inch OLED monitor is, without a doubt, the best investment you could make. Its combination of stunning visual quality, unmatched refresh rate, and seamless performance makes it the top choice for FPS enthusiasts. It is indeed a 5/5 star product.

Amazing monitor if you have the right expectations.
The screen is incredible for gaming, and the colors pop unlike anything else. Overall it won't be nearly as bright as IPS, but that is due to the limitations of OLED as a technology right now.
The text fringing when not gaming can be pretty noticeable at first, but once I got used to it I stopped caring as much.
Don't buy this monitor if its going to be used for gaming less than half of the time, this is not a screen for productivity or work. If you are using it for gaming then it'll be really hard to find a better panel for the time being so I would definitely recommend this monitor.

An awesome gaming monitor with one major flaw that some people may not know how to address. Got a crazy good deal on this as it was on sale and also bought open box. After setup everything looked amazing on my new pc. Amazing color and fast refresh rate. Only odd thing I had noticed was that the screen would flicker on certain menus. Found that this is a common issue with LG oleds and VRR enabled. After disabling VRR everything worked perfectly. This is a pretty big flaw as some people may not know to look into the issue online and fix it before deeming the screen bad and returning (may be how I got this brand new looking open box). I don't really see the need for VRR and the monitor has been working flawlessly ever since it was disabled. Let's hope they fix the issue on future revisions when 4k oled monitors start becoming more commonplace to have an upgrade path towards that.

Exceptional Monitor, My First OLED purchase, after watching countless reviews and finally making the decision. I absolutely love the features and who can go wrong with 240HZ. Of course, it works for me because I have PC and PS, so I can take advantage of the 240 HZ on PC, but this looks extremely well on the PS5, 1440p is quite good, hard to really tell a difference between 4k & 1440p but it looks great to me. I’d recommended anyone who’s willing to drop the money for it. HDMI 2.1 ports and 1.4 Display Port really make it nice. I don’t understand why some more expensive monitors still only have HDMI 2.0 ports. The remote is a nice touch, accessing its features and changing to however you want is nice and easy. I will say, you don’t have to, if you don’t want to. This monitor looks great out the box. 27” seems pretty good to me, I haven’t had any issues with it yet. It does seem a little dark but not to the point where it affects gameplay. It is OLED in the end. Hopefully this helps!

For those who have not seen the video reviews, the biggest gripe with the monitor is the 200nits brightness with SDR content (Even with HDR its definitely lower than most IPS displays). I have dual monitor setup and its more apparent next to my LG 4k 144hz IPS monitor. That being said its definitely useable in a bright room. I also don't mind the matte finish on the screen, it matches with my other monitor. The 240hz is amazing and games do look stunning on it. I main Rocket League and I won't go back to 144hz after enjoying this butteryness. Reading text on Windows is pretty dismal so definitely get this for gaming and watching content. I don't know if its my power strip, but I do get a small audible buzzing sound when it is turned on. Lastly because its OLED and burn-in is definitely going to be an issue, the monitor will turn off if detects lack of motion after what feels like 15-30min. In a dual monitor setup it's quite annoying... I would only recommend if you got money burning in your pocket.

For the games I usually play (Rocket League, Apex, Overwatch) this monitor is almost perfect. 4k and Glossy would've been nice options too but would've also cost EVEN more. 2k 240hz is great for the fast paced games I play, and it does require a decent pc to run but I didn't need to upgrade to a NASA supercomputer to play the games I was already playing, which I would've probably had to do if this was 4k.
The OLED looks great in games and videos, the coating looks similar to other LG monitors and doesn't bother me. The motion clarity looks fantastic and makes playing games like Rocket League where the camera can turn very quickly look much cleaner.
For content consumption like YouTube I don't have any issues. Some text elements look less sharp than on my 2k LCD but I'd consider that a minor issue as this monitor isn't really intended for reading documents and productivity work. Browsing the internet for a bit here and there I forget about it pretty quick.
Remote is a little annoying but also pretty minor.

Overall, this is a very nice monitor. The colors in HDR are really amazing. The refresh rate means everything is very smooth in every game. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the matte screen finish, but it doesn't bother me at all.
My only two complaints are the screen is dim. Really dim. With the brightness set to maximum, it's dim. It's not a deal breaker, but kind of disappointing. My other issue is, when starting games, the monitor displays a message stating the settings need to be changed from 4k to 2k. I don't know if this is a bug, but it was also frustrating for a $1000 monitor. I found a solution on the internet that allowed me to remove the 4k settings, and not have that message come up again. Once I had removed the tv settings, it actually caused the screen to be slightly brighter.
Overall, I like this monitor, but I will probably be returning it. It's hard to justify spending $1000 on this. I would certainly reconsider purchasing this again if the price drops.
