Idk if it’s supposed to do this but it has like little streaks that flicker across the screen, it’s kinda annoying, it also arrives with a small dent on the bottom left corner, maybe that’s why

The first time I bought this monitor, it had bands of lighter colors when colors should have been solid color. I exchanged it and had the same issue on the second monitor . If it wasn’t for that, the monitor would have been great because the rest of the colors were incredible.

Display has faint but noticeable white vertical lines running through it. Much more visible when darker colors are on the screen. Looks like some sort of burn-in which I heard can still be an issue with these OLED panels overtime, but right out of the box?? Unacceptable for the $700 I paid after tax. Will be returning for a refund. Guess I'll be sticking with my trusty LED panel for a bit longer.

Played with this monitor over the weekend but ended up returning it. Not sure if mine was faulty, but everything looked good but never got that wow feeling. The Matte finish could had been the cause. I also tried gamer 2 setting and other configurations and was never impressed. definitely loved the remote.

Good OLED and screen care options - HDR lacking

My experience with this monitor is this:
Great color. Very bright and vibrant, the enhanced brightness (off, level 1, and level 2) provided in this monitor can easily compete with LED monitors brightness. The contrast is great. Refresh rate is great. Response time is that classic legendary OLED grade - basically instantaneous.
Only problem I've had has been HDR. In Days Gone, Cyberpunk, and Alan Wake 2 I have not been able to get the HDR to look good. Admittedly, that may be my fault because windows and games settings for HDR can both be challenging, and then the monitors settings, I may be missing something. It just looks washed out to me, and not as bright and defined as SDR. It's close, but just seems off.
The price is also a LITTLE high, but I see it is on sale most of the time lately, though I paid the full $800 in Fall 2024. Would recommend. It also has built in crosshair overlays which I love, really give you an advantage in some shooters like DayZ.
If you have they money to burn, this is a good choice. I had a great MSI LED monitor, that was $250. Is this 3x BETTER than that? No, but its 4x more expensive. I would say its about 20% better than my MSI monitor, not exactly what I expected, but still really good. Those blacks on OLED are no joke, they are so inky. And this one provides good colors with it.

I was hesitant to make the switch to OLED because of the high cost and the fear of burn-in. But I was tired of having to pick between the ghosting problems that come with VA panels and the risk of backlight bleed that seems to plague a lot IPS panels these days. I have to say that so far, I've been very happy with this monitor for the $700 I spent.
Obviously, the black levels are incredible to see. I will say that with this particular monitor, I don't think the colors on every image you see on it will look THAT much better than a good IPS or VA display to the average person. But dark scenes in particular look especially great, like playing a game in a night-time environment or in a cave. The deep blacks make it feel very immersive. The incredibly low response time combined with the 240hz refresh rate is also great. Anything that can run at 240fps (including your desktop environment) feels very smooth with absolutely no ghosting as far as I can see, unless you're playing a game that has built in motion blur or a similar effect. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the image quality and motion clarity. The included remote is also very convenient to have, and the build quality is great.
As for the drawbacks, I can't necessarily comment on burn-in because I haven't owned it long enough. But LG's WOLEDs are supposed to be more resistant to it than the QD-OLEDs that other brands produce. That's what made it worth it to me to spend $700 on this instead of going for some of the $600 options from other brands. I will at least say that the built in features to help prevent burn-in are very unobtrusive. The monitor will run an image cleaning process automatically when it goes to sleep if it's been 4 hours or more of screen-on time since the last time it was run. There's also an option to enable a pixel shift feature, which is not turned on by default (and I have not turned it on). There's also the text clarity issue, which seems to exist on every OLED. It doesn't personally bother me, especially since I have the option to view any particularly bad text on another monitor on my desk. It is barely noticeable to me on smaller text, but it definitely stands out on larger text. Your tolerance of this issue just comes down to personal preference and use cases. If you're going to use this monitor to do a lot of typing or reading, it may bother you. But for a gaming display that you also do some web browsing on, I don't think it's a big deal. And lastly, there's the matte coating on this display. This also comes down to personal preference. It's not a dealbreaker at all for me, especially at this price for an OLED. But you almost certainly will see it. It's not always that noticeable, but it sticks out like a sore thumb on bright images with light colors (the sky, white backgrounds, etc.). It gives a sort of grainy effect to these images, but the grain doesn't move around of course, so it doesn't feel like film grain or noise.
Overall, from what I have seen so far, this is a great choice for an OLED that doesn't completely break the bank compared to the higher end options.

Got this on sale for $599. Great display that you can pretty much just plug in and go without needing to do a bunch of calibrating. Nvidia immediately recognizes it as a G-sync display and enables g-sync. HDR needs to be enabled in Windows settings. The monitor settings menu clearly displays current refresh rate and whether adaptive-sync (gsync or freesync) and HDR are on or off, much like LG's televisions (also gives you the little top right corner pop up banners when these features are enabled or disabled).
I upgraded to this monitor from an Alienware 240hz IPS 1080p display and the difference is night and day. Games look much sharper and colors really pop with deep OLED blacks and VESA Certified DisplayHDR. 1440p resolution is great if you're looking for more crisp visuals than 1080p, but don't want to sacrifice your framerate with 4K.
The matte finish isn't that bad - it's more glossy than the matte display on my previous two monitors. It's kind of somewhere between matte and glossy, and similar to an OLED television with an anti-reflective coating.
One issue I did have was with the optional LG On Screen Control software that can be downloaded from their website. Apparently, it's used to update the monitor firmware (if applicable) and has some extra display settings, but it caused a lot of performance issues/glitches - for example alt+tabbing in and out of a game would cause mouse input to lag for a good 15-20 seconds. Also caused a lot of screen brightness flickering when in g-sync mode. Once I uninstalled the LG OSC software, all the issues were gone. Definitely avoid that software at all costs and you'll have no issues.

The LG UltraGear 27" OLED QHD Gaming Monitor is an absolute game-changer. From the moment I powered it on, I was blown away by its stunning OLED display. The contrast, blacks, and vibrant colors are incredibly rich and deep, providing a cinematic experience whether you’re gaming, watching movies, or working on creative projects.
The 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time make for incredibly smooth gameplay, even in fast-paced, competitive titles. There’s absolutely no ghosting or motion blur, which is a huge advantage for gamers who demand top-tier performance. Pair that with FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, and you get a tear-free, stutter-free experience no matter the game.
The design is sleek, with ultra-thin bezels and a solid, adjustable stand, ensuring comfort for long gaming sessions. Plus, the monitor has excellent connectivity options, including HDMI and DisplayPort, making it easy to hook up multiple devices.
Overall, the LG UltraGear 27" OLED is a premium gaming monitor that excels in every area—picture quality, speed, and responsiveness. If you’re serious about gaming or want the best visual experience, this monitor is absolutely worth it!

OLED, a PS5's best friend

Simply a beautiful monitor, coming from the 27GN850, then the 27G083B this blew them out of the water. It raised the bar and after using it i could never go back to an IPS panel again. OLED is the future, and although as a PS5 user i cant use it to the fullest capabilities it definitely works for what is needed. The colors on the games i play suddenly pop, its lighting fast, and its a sleek design. I have a darker set room, but even with all the lights on the screens coating does a wonderful job performing. Using HDR i find myself actually turning the brightness down to about 85. It also comes with a remote which is how you control all the settings, which tucked away it also has screen care settings to help keep the OLED screen in tip top shape. The only true negative i have noticed is slight flickering in certain menus on Call of Duty but it is very subtle and doesn't happen during gameplay. Id imagine it wouldn't happen if you turn VRR off. If youre on the fence and looking for the mext upgrade, take the jump and get this OLED monitor. The price is steep, but if you can find it at a great deal around the $650/700 price range its a must have.

Bought this to replace my IPS 27”, which was a very expensive (same cost) as this OLED when new. Having never used an OLED as a main monitor it took a bit to get used to, almost decided to return it. I’ve always had my IPS displays at 0% brightness since I work online and look at my screens most of the day. The OLEDs don’t work well with low brightness setting so make sure to just not set it low or the colors will be screwed up. My recommendation is 65-70% brightness if you also run low brightness. Otherwise the default settings were pretty good. The pixel shift setting will prevent long term burn in so recommend enabling it. I have mine set to the lowest interval setting, you won’t even notice it.
Colors are great of course. Nothing beats an OLED for watching movies or shows. HDR works great (assuming you’re watching proper HDR content) but I never use it, colors in HDR just don’t look as good as SDR content but maybe it’s me.
After having this for 2-3 weeks I don’t regret the purchase. I leave my monitors on 24/7 but use an app to put a black screen up when I’m asleep and having the OLED be “true black” makes my room so much darker at night.

This monitor is amazing. Here are some of my favorite features:
Colors are perfect. OLED displays are the best of both worlds in terms of gaming and "general use". I have 2 of these monitors; one for gaming and one for work. This monitor's blacks are very dark and is perfect for coding (in VS code). In gaming, the refresh rate is perfect with my gaming pc. RTX games look incredible and more lifelike.
The monitor is a little expensive, but the colors and the features outweigh the price tag. Having a dedicated remote control to customize color profiles and adjust the saturation make it so much better than messing with a button integrated into the monitor.
I would highly recommend this monitor. I mainly bought this monitor because I was looking for an OLED monitor that wasn't curved or larger than 32 inches. Also, you can mount this monitor on a 100x100 VESA mount monitor stand.

The LG UltraGear 27" OLED QHD 240Hz 0.03ms FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor is a standout in terms of visual performance and design. One of the most impressive features is the OLED panel, which delivers exceptional picture quality with deep blacks, vivid colors, and outstanding contrast. Watching movies and playing games on this display is an immersive experience, with the vibrant hues and crisp details truly standing out.
The monitor is surprisingly lightweight for an OLED, making it easy to move and set up. This is a nice touch, especially when compared to heavier displays with similar specs. The included controller is another standout feature. It makes navigating the on-screen menu intuitive and efficient, allowing for quick adjustments without getting lost in complex settings.
As for performance, the 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time provide a smooth gaming experience. The FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility ensure there’s minimal screen tearing, and fast-moving action looks incredibly fluid. However, I did encounter some difficulties with the HDR mode while using it on my PC. Despite my best efforts, I couldn’t quite figure out how to get it working properly, so I stuck to the standard mode, which still looks fantastic.
Overall, the LG UltraGear 27" OLED is a top-tier gaming monitor with impressive picture quality, easy navigation, and excellent performance for fast-paced gaming. If you’re not particularly concerned with HDR at the moment, this monitor is a fantastic choice. Can’t give it 4.5/5 stars because of the difficulty time I had with HDR. I don’t know if it’s the monitor’s fault or Windows just being bad.

The colors are vibrant and true-to-life, enhancing my overall viewing experience whether I’m working, gaming, or watching movies.
One of the standout features of this monitor is its reliability. I’ve been using it for a while now and haven’t encountered any issues. The setup was straightforward, and the performance has been consistently smooth.
Overall, this LG monitor has exceeded my expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a monitor that delivers exceptional quality and performance, I highly recommend this one.

Great monitor I love the 240hz making everything ultra smooth, like the saying goes when you go oled you won’t want to go back to other platforms because of the amazing colours and the rich perfect black, don’t let the 1440p let you think that it’s going to have a bad image quality it’s much sharper then you think, since it’s on the smaller size the pixels are much more dense giving it a sharper look, I also love when you turn off the pc it automatically does a screen clean to minimize the burn in.

First time using an OLED monitor and also my first time experiencing 240Hz refresh rate and a very low response time of 0.03ms. It’s honestly amazing. The colors, the smoothness, the black levels. All of it is an amazing sight to behold. I enjoyed gaming and watching content on this monitor and experience content in a different and new way. I’m glad that I bought this monitor. Obviously the only downside is the possibility of burn-in and the weird sub-pixel layout. The matte coating is fine for me. Definitely an opinion type of thing. And to describe the coating, it does look like someone took a small amount of Vaseline and smeared it on the display. But I just don’t really realize it during gaming or watching content.

I was stuck deciding between the ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG, the AOC Agon Pro AG276QZD2, and this LG UltraGear 27GS95QE-B. After a ton of research, I went with the LG — and I’m beyond glad I did.
I previously ran a Gigabyte M28U 4K 144Hz, which was a great monitor, but I wanted to experience OLED’s incredible contrast and response times at 1440p with higher frame rates. Paired with my RX 9070 XT, I’ve never seen a better picture or felt smoother gameplay in my life. Games like Party Animals are hitting 240fps on high/ultra with no screen tearing, ghosting, or stutter — it’s buttery smooth.
I ended up giving my kid my old 4K monitor and Xbox Series X since I won’t be touching them now. If you’re considering making the jump to OLED for PC gaming, this monitor is worth every penny. Fantastic HDR, instant response times, and jaw-dropping image quality. Highly recommended!

This is an great monitor. Im coming from a 1440p 144hz TN panel so its quite the increase in quality. Ive had an LG OLED tv so it was an easu purchase. The 240hz refresh is incredible and the response time extremely noticeable. The colors are vibrants and blacks are very deep, even in SDR mode. If you looking for an OLED for gaming this is the one you want. It has hdmi 2.1 if you need that as well. The best buy warranty is a no brainer if you are worried about burn in. Cyberpunk and the Dead Space remake look amazing.
