It’s good, but a 4K tandem oled would be better.

When HDR is turned off the colors pop and the monitor looks amazing when HDR is turned on it looks dull and washed out like a first gen LED monitor from 1998 . I can't even fathom how is this even possible? Did they not test the monitors before they release them? I find it so unacceptable for an issue like this in 2025.

Solid OLED with new tandem 4th gen panel. Bright, color accurate, and amazing contrast. Issue is my panel has noticeable vertical banding on gray backgrounds. Extremely distracting with some games and seems to be a problem with WOLED in general.

This is a truly beautiful monitor. I am usually a bit hesitant on OLED screens because of their inherent issues of image retention/burn-in, and typically lower peak brightness. LG seems to be rather good about managing these issues however. I have not noticed any image retention, or any major tricks to avoid image retention (e.g. it performs mitigations without interrupting your viewing experience). It does have some settings for managing this, but it's somewhat unclear what they do. For instance, there is a setting for OLED Screen Move, with 4 modes (or off), but it doesn't explain what the difference between the different modes are. Speaking of the OSD menu, I find it fairly easy to navigate, but as noted above, some of the settings are not always clearly explained. Also, some of the menus scroll, but it is easy to overlook the tiny scrollbar indicating as much, so some menus have more settings/options than it may initially appear. It would be nicer if the indication was a bit more obvious. Now, about the image quality. It's purely stunning. The colors and contrast are stellar, and at 280hz, it's hard to explain how beautiful images look moving at 280hz. Of course, most games can't reach that, but I encourage you to find games that can, just for the experience. But even outside of games, just at the desktop, the fluidity of menus, mouse movements, and other animations just look so much better at 280hz. The only issue I noticed, was I was looking at a spreadsheet (of all things) that had a bright yellow cell next to white, and there were artifacts of an over-sharp image (e.g., was extra bright white immediately next to the yellow). I tried adjusting the sharpness of the monitor to compensate, but it affected the overall image too much. You can install the LG Switch app, and plug the monitor into your computer via USB to run some extra calibration to get the image to your personal preference. However, the LG Switch app was hard to find on LGs website for some reason, and I actually don't care much for the functionality of the app itself. It's trying to do more than it needs to. Overall, I give this monitor extremely high marks, and you really can't go wrong here.

I have been using the LG UltraGear monitor family for almost 5 years now. Having 2 other versions of the UltraGear gaming monitors which until now i thought were just the best thing ever. Then enters this OLED QHD 280hz and I have to say I don't think i will ever go back to standard LEDs ever again. The OLED just produces the most brilliant looking images/videos on screen that I and my family have ever seen. My computer has a Nvidia 5070 ti in it and connected to this monitor, ....I mean it is just fantastic, I swear we sat on youtube running 2k & 4k videos for almost 2 days straight just to watch how crisp and colorful everything is. It really is this amazing, personally just cant get over it. With that said, at the end of the day this is a gaming monitor, so lets just get to the important stuff: positives about this monitor include -light construction, but heavy duty feel -lack of thick plastic borders makes this monitors' finished look stand out amongst its predecessors -includes hdmi, display port and usb cables -produces a very realistic and beautiful picture when displaying high res videos and newer games *(this was tested using a 5070 ti) -free sync (and gsync) compatible -super quick .03ms response time + 280hz -inputs: 2x hdmi, 1x display port, usb type hub panel (1 in /2 out) + under monitor controls -standard 100x100 vesa mount cons -with most oleds, you do risk having burn in, however as this is a much newer generation oled, the risks are really not as intense as they once were, with lower power consumption and newer technology, it could take several months to a few years of continued stagnation to cause such a thing. I would still have to say the risk is still there to some extent, so make sure to utilize the onboard tools of the monitor, and incorporate a screensaver or monitor off option within windows, just as an extra precaution. Overall this is by far one of the best LG Ultragear monitor's I have used to date, they just keep making these models better and better, the colors are drop dead gorgeous, the pure aesthetics of the monitor are beautiful, and response time is out of this world. If you are searching for a great gaming OLED and you ended up here, I would stop the search now and just add to cart. You will not be disappointed!

Literally eye candy. The best gaming monitor you can get for $550. Very top quality going from 1080p to 1440 is a game changer. Only thing I recommend is changing some of the video settings to really get the best picture quality possible the default settings isn’t really crazy
