Visual Quality Somewhat Lacking
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I've had experience with other curved monitors, I just wasn't sold on them versus the more traditional flat screen displays. But I know people who prefer them and so was willing to give one another look. And with LG being a well-known, high quality brand of electronics and home appliances, I expected good things. The stand itself has weight to it and was simple enough to affix to the monitor by following the included instructions. I was quite pleased by this as some monitors I've owned have had rather flimsy stands. The basic hinge allows you to tilt the monitor 'up and down' to your liking. The 31.5" screen provides a really nice sized viewing display. But with a maximum resolution of 2560x1440, the graphical quality falls short of what I can achieve on my mid-range gaming laptop. However, while the LED display appeared "muted" and not as bright or clear as I'd have liked, every viewing angle looked the same to me, so that consistency was a positive feature. During my gaming sessions I was able to notice less screen tearing or blurring. The FreeSync (AMD Adaptive Sync) technology really shines here when playing higher graphic requirement video games. Another plus is that this LG 31.5" UltraGear Gaming Monitor has 2 HDMI and Display ports, which is great for those wanting a multiple monitor setup. Overall, this is a nice monitor for the price. Though the curved aspect of the display may take some getting used to, especially if you're only familiar with flat screen monitors.

Crystal clear and smooth for gaming.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG UltraGear 32QS60QC is a great choice. The thin bezel and the sleek stand make it aesthetically pleasing. The 1440p resolution is absolutely crystal clear, and the 180Hz refresh rate has been wonderfully smooth for gaming/streaming. I haven't noticed ANY screen-tearing with the built-in VRR, and since it essentially replaces VSYNC, I haven't had to sacrifice any frame rate for it. Colors are beautiful. Aside from the very minor issues Windows 11 notoriously has with HDR, which is not the monitor's fault at all, I've had no issues. The curved screen feels completely natural after a few minutes of getting used to it, and it keeps this behemoth of a 31.6" monitor from taking up too much extra space on my desk. I've also noticed that it has been easier to spot things in my peripheral vision while gaming since swapping to a curved screen, which has helped a lot. Also, the 1ms response time is unnoticeable and incredibly smooth. I highly recommend this UltraGear monitor. It doesn't lack any features.

Beautiful Curve!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box things could not be simpler. Included are the monitor, stand, power supply and the typical documentation. As it turns out, the screen height is just about the same as my duel 35" monitors so it fit perfectly in between them. This gives me about 6 feet of display area in front of me. With two HDMI and one Display Port input you are set up with all the connectivity you will need. Display Port seems to be the way to go for gaming and any monitor that says it is for gaming should have this. The curved screen makes for a more immersive experience as the image "wraps" around you. This leads to a increased depth perception. It is also known to reduce eye strain as the focal distance is the same from side to side. At about 27.5" wide, it is a perfect size for the average desk and because of the curve you actually get more display per inch of desk space. The image is quite pleasing and as mentioned above very immersive. I am not a hard core gamer but I am quite picky about video quality. I must say that for the money this is darn good and I am very happy having this as my main point of focus for both gaming and productivity. The stand is adequate but has limited movement. You can tilt it back and forth but there is no height adjustment. However, you can mount to a monitor stand should you need more flexibility in viewing position and height.

Perfect curved gaming monitor!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really awesome curved gaming monitor. It also does a good job for regular every day work and productivity use. But mainly I used it for gaming. It has a crisp high resolution picture via HDMI or USB-C. It is also highly responsive for both gaming and productivity. At 31.5” it is also the perfect monitor size, it’s not so big it doesn’t fit on my computer desk, but also is perfect for computer gaming. It also supports HDR and 180 hz refresh rate for fast paced gaming and content viewing. I use it both with my Mac and Windows machines with no issues. Windows does do a better job of producing a crisp picture for gaming. It was also really easy to setup, I just plugged it into power and then into the HDMI port of both the monitor and computer, and I was good to go. The curved style is also produces the perfect presentation for gaming, making it easier to focus on the action. Overall, I highly recommend this monitor for everything from productivity, work to gaming as it does a great job with all of it.

A really nice monitor for gaming and videos
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG UltraGear QHD monitor is a really nice curved gaming monitor. While designed for gaming, I found the curved screen excellent for watching videos and even work. If you haven’t used a curved monitor before, it does take some adjustment. If you have used a curved screen, the 31.5” size of the LG will really accentuate this effect (versus a 24” or 27” screen). Starting with gaming, the UltraGear is designed for fast responses and crisp images. With FPS and other gaming modes, the integration with FreeSync technology found on most gaming computers makes for a seamless experience. The deep blacks of the display provide an excellent backdrop for all images, and the curved screen allows you to more readily see objects in your peripheral vision that you might otherwise not notice as quickly. Images are crisp, edges are sharp, and there is no display lag. The fact that the distance from your eye to the screen remains roughly the same from side to side means that your eyes do not need to readjust for distance as you scan the image. This allows for faster recognition of objects and faster response to movement. For movies, the wrap-around aspect is reminiscent of CinemaScope movies of old, with a more enveloping experience than a flat screen. Like with games, peripheral vision benefits the most, with details on the sides of the main action coming into view more easily. The same distance consistency means an improvement in the clarity of the image across the screen. Although subtle, I did find it noticeable. Using the monitor for daily work took the most adjustment, but I’ve it’s interesting to use. My eyes don’t seem to get as tired, likely because of the consistent distance. At the same time, things like PowerPoint take some getting used to on the curved screen. As far as this specific monitor for work, if you like a bright white background, this isn’t for you. It’s very much designed for a softer look; easier on the eyes, but a matter of personal preference. You may also want to turn off the energy saving feature, as it adjusts the screen brightness automatically – subtly, but still noticeable – too frequently. The only other complaint is the built-in speakers are not nearly loud enough. Overall, this has become my monitor of choice, for gaming, video playback and, yes, even for work.
