Best All-Around OLED for Work and Play

Had the UE version and returned it for an unfortunate issue. Didn't realize this UV version was available and for $999. Much better price. The stand is slimmer yet feels more premium. Don't care about the speakers. The white is surprisingly very nice to own. The UE model was a purple gray which was odd. If you're like me and won't use reflective screens and love matte displays you'll appreciate this monitor. The WOLED uses white light instead of blue light and whatever LG did the text clarity is perfect. I compare it to my old 28" G7 IPS. Normally I prefer 27" 4K for the PPI, but for some reason this one is perfect. I also sit further back closer to 30-36 inches. My DisplayPort cable caused half the screen to show red pixels wherever there was black. I switched to HDMI 2.1 and never experienced that again. The screen does a self-cleaning when it goes to sleep which is nice. I don't share the same fear of burn-in as so many people do. Auto hide taskbar, set your desktop wallpaper to a slideshow with some nice OLED quality wallpapers, keep icons off desktop, etc. Probably don't even need to do those things. My office space has windows behind me and this coating handles reflections perfectly. I don't understand those who claim this isn't bright enough - perhaps they're referring to HDR. I don't use HDR. I keep this monitor at around 20-30% brightness during day and it's plenty. I use my monitor for 90% work and maybe 10% play. And as a productivity, photo editing, music recording, and gaming monitor it's absolutely perfect. Very difficult to go back to IPS after experiencing OLED. It does cause some eye strain compared to IPS where I can stare at it all day. Could be several reasons for that, but I want to give it some time to see if my eyes adjust. Generally, and historically larger monitors give me more eye strain for obvious reasons. If they make a 27" variant I may buy it.

I absolutely love this monitor. Currently doing double duty as a work and gaming monitor. I do digital marketing and so high quality imagery is rather important so this one definitely fits the bill. Currently using it with my PlayStation five as well. Initially, I added an HDMI switcher to one of the ports, specifically for gaming, but I had to play with the settings or compatibility, but it did finally work just fine. If I remember correctly, and had to do with HDR, possibly cable compatibility. So that’s worth investigating prior to purchase. There’s the one button navigation at the bottom center back of the monitor. Fairly easy to use. Bonus feature! I didn’t realize there was an LED strip built into the back, allowing you to customize the color. Doesn’t really add much because it’s not super bright, but it might be more effective if I had all the lights off in my office. LOL or maybe I just have to play with it more.

The LG UltraGear 32" OLED Gaming Monitor is a beast when it comes to gaming. It’s loaded with features like a 4K UHD resolution, a super high 240Hz refresh rate (or 480Hz at FHD), and lightning-fast 0.03ms response time. If you’re into fast-paced games, this monitor keeps up with every move without any lag. Plus, it’s NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Pro compatible, so gameplay feels buttery smooth with no screen tearing. One thing to note is that the black color option costs more, but it adds a sleek, premium touch to your setup. The matte finish on the screen is great for reducing glare, making it more practical for gaming compared to the glossy look you usually see on OLEDs. If you're buying this for movies or casual browsing, the matte finish might feel less vibrant, but for gaming, it’s spot on. This monitor is definitely built for serious gamers who want top-tier performance and features, and while it’s not the cheapest option, it’s worth the investment if you want the best experience.

really great monitor, if you have a high end video card and are still wondering why your graphics are not screaming, it's because of your low refresh rate, non-hdd monitor...or am I the only dummy who didn't know that? :) Definitely buy a capable cable for this monitor, one of my old hdmi cables could not handle the throughput and would short out. Images attached don't do the picture quality justice, 2nd shot is from the top to show how thin it is compared to my old LG monitor.

The LG UltraGear 32" OLED is built for gamers who want top performance. It offers super-smooth visuals with 4K resolution at 240Hz or Full HD at an incredible 480Hz. The super-fast 0.03ms response time means no motion blur, and it’s compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Pro, so you won’t have to deal with screen tearing. Unlike glossy OLED screens, this monitor has a matte finish. This is great for gaming since it cuts down on glare and works better in bright rooms, but it doesn’t have the super-shiny look some OLEDs are known for. If you’re looking to save money, the white version is $100 cheaper than the black one, and it’s just as good. This monitor is perfect for gaming with its high refresh rates and low latency, but if you’re more into watching movies or casual use, you might prefer a glossy OLED instead. For serious gamers, though, this one is a great pick.

I did research on the best gaming monitors and pretty much boils down to brand preference. Most gaming monitors have the same equipment in them and I always enjoyed oled tvs so of course I was going to buy a oled gaming monitor. It’s nice to switch from 240 to 480 hertz when ever you want with a click of a button and the colors pop very nicely. With a none glare screen it helps in my brightly lite room so I never have to deal with screen glare. Speakers are pretty average but it’s nice to have that option so you don’t have to get a sound bar if you don’t want too.

I had a personal policy never to buy LG products due to a bad experience with LG over a decade ago, but a couple friends convinced me to give them a shot. I did and was COMPLETELY blown away with the picture quality on this! I was coming from a 10yr old ASUS ROG 4K, and I thought the picture looked pretty good on the Samsung G8 OLED (that I just returned due to a multitude of issues), but when I first hooked up the LG Ultra OLED, I was BLOWN away with how much better the picture quality was and about 10x better performance than the Samsung G8. Deeper blacks too on the LG. Well done, LG! Faith restored. Never Samsung. (In the picture, the LG is on the right. That's a Samsung G5 LCD on the left)

Excellent monitor! I bought this for both gaming and school work, and the 32-inch size strikes the perfect balance for both uses. I wanted to transition from a dual setup to a single monitor, and this fits the bill perfectly. It even has built-in speakers! That said, it would have been nice to have a USB-C port, as many monitors include them these days. The included HDMI cable wasn’t great and caused my screen to go blank a few times, but after upgrading the cable, everything has been smooth since. I bought it used with Geek Squad protection, and I was surprised at how pristine it was—almost like new. I highly recommend this monitor if you're looking for a versatile option that can do it all.

Such an amazing monitor. Going from 1080p 144hz to 4k 240hz is actually insane. I don’t know how I didn’t upgrade sooner. Such a nice monitor, I can actually see definition on it!

Best Monitors I've ever owned, I bought 2ea. They were super easy to take out of the box and super simple plug and play with my new computer. They have simple adjustments if you want to customize them as well. Awesome colors and they adjust easily in height and swivel.

So far I like it, I would recommend to anyone who’s able to afford it. I am currenly using it with a 7800xt gpu and I don’t have performance issues. Amd upscaling technique works great and native resolution also you get a good performance.

For Those Who Love Matte Displays

For those who love matte/matte coatings this one is amazing. I can't use glossy screens at all. People complaining about this being "grainy" must be sitting extremely close. It looks perfect to my eyes, aside from it being 32inches and losing some pixel density due to that. I definitely prefer 27/28 inches for 4K because I care more about pixel density than screen real estate at these sizes. I think all OLED's give me eye strain so that's on me. I believe this monitor should be priced around $899. They would sell infinitely more and the return rate would be a lot less. I use mine 90% work 10% play, which is likely close to opposite of what most people buy OLED for. I also liked the ergonomics of the stand and the fact that it does look like a gaming monitor. It can be raised nice and high as well. I can't speak to the 480hz. I only bought it for 240hz, matte coating, and the ergonomics. Some minor OLED annoyances when looking at screens with grays/dark grays. You can see some gradient or banding (only with gray). Also when the monitor first starts and I have a gray background/window up, you can see dark blotches or patches that appear when moving the window around. They very slowly dissipate. Once the monitor has been on for a few minutes you never see it again. Attached photos to show the fantastic depth of the black and how the images almost come alive. You can see the G7 next to the LG and noticed the IPS glow. You can see how incredible the viewing angles are on OLED vs IPS.
