Customers are saying

Customers regard the UltraGear 38" IPS LED UltraWide monitor's large screen size and high refresh rate as significant strengths, praising the picture quality, color accuracy, and immersive gaming experience. However, some users find the HDR performance underwhelming and the price point high. While some noticed fan noise, the overall consensus points to a high-quality monitor with some trade-offs.

Perfect for two years- Screen burn in after 3597hr

Purchased this in Dec 2021, Today is April 2023. I've used this monitor everyday for a hybrid work station/gaming setup so it's safe to say this device is on most of the time during the day. Total power on time is 3597 hours and I am currently experience screen burn in with my M2 14in MacBook Pro. That is my only complaint--other than that this has been a beast at handling games. I love the multicolored led on the back (although I wish LG could provide software for apple users to customize and sync the colors with what's being displayed on screen.

Replaced 3 monitors with 1 ultrawide!

I replaced 3 monitors with this one ultrawide. Frame rate is a huge difference from my previous 4K/60hz monitors. I’ve had no issues with screen sensitivity/damage with handling and/or loud fan noise as I read in some other online reviews. I’d definitely buy again. The only thing I did was purchase a third-party software to snap my windows into the places where I wanted them because the downloadable LG software for window management is lacking.

Great Monitor, but not for me

Great picture and response time, but it wasn't for me. The 15-1/2" top-to-bottom screen height lost the sense of immersion for me that the curved wide screen brought to my desk. Another 2 inches of height and it would've been a keeper. (I ended up going with the ASUS PG43U for more screen real estate.)

This monitor is definitely costly, but worth it if you want both high quality image and performance for gaming. The stand is extremely sturdy and secure. The interface is very easy. If you don’t have a system to support high image quality and FPS I’d go with something cheaper, but if you can support, this is it.

Horrible quality controls ruins a good monitor

While the monitor itself is amazing, the quality control is not. I went through 4 of these monitors from multiple stores and every one had issues. The first had 2 stuck pixels that I couldn't unsee and no matter what I did, would not un-stuck, so I returned. The second had the exact same issue, but this time there were three stuck pixels. Returned. The third had no stuck pixels!!! But, it had a faulty fan that made a loud buzzing sound. This monitor has an NVIDIA G-Sync chip in it that requires a fan. Normally, they are silent, but not this one. It was driving me insane, so it was returned. I decided to try one more time by buying the monitor from a different store altogether. Received it in the mail, 2 stuck pixels. By this time I figured I was cursed by the LG gods and decided to move on to greener pastures. Ended up going with the Alienware 38" and it was perfect out of the box. I have an LG tv that I love, but I will never buy another LG monitor because of this horrible experience.

This kept getting pushed back it almost seemed like vaporware. Excellent monitor. It's gorgeous. The only con is the lack of USB-C for the price. Took less than 10 minutes to assemble. No tools were needed.
