More than once I thought the bottom right corner of the monitor was suffering from light reflections from the nearby window. Then I saw the same behavior at night in a dark room. I found this behavior distracting and unacceptable. The second issue was defective RGB light ring on the back of the monitor. The light ring would do rainbow with no issues. Using the LG Ultra Gear software allows programming of the light ring. In my case, only the left side of the ring would turn off with any mode other than the default rainbow affect. Firmware and software updates did not resolve the issue. Between the distracting backlight bleed and the defective RGB lighting affects I chose to return the monitor. At the time, there was no stock to swap the monitor.

Best Buy was good about accepting the return and ordering me a new one but it definitely sucked. I'm hoping the next one I receive isn't defective and I can update my rating.

So don’t expect the full 38” of display to work on Windows 10/11. Returned mine to get a smaller display.

Rgb puke on every startup

It put out this multi color disco show for about 5 seconds at max brightness then turns off. I can’t find a way of disabling so returning it tommorow.

The colors and size are the sweet spot. 49 inch wide screens are too big. Then I started digging into the details and returned it. This monitor does NOT have DSC (display stream compression) so the 10 bit and hdr is limited to 85hz. The 175hz is limited to 8bit 422 with the rainbow effect on the text. This monitor does NOT deliver. I exchanged it for a Samsung Odyssey G7 32 inch. It does have DSC and I run 240hz at 10bit with HDR. For the price, there is no reason to settle for an 85hz 10 bit screen.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.was amazed on the quailed of the monitor. got mine when it was on sale at costco thou. but the monitor is awesome. 8 bit 144hz-160hz, 10 bit 120hz. my 5700 xt nitro+ pushes strong and runs kinda hot running this. would recommend something strong 3080 and up or 6800 and up to get over 100 fps on aaa games. get 50-90 fps on my 5700 xt hoping to upgrade my gpu soon
