Beautiful Monitor, I just wish it was glossy!

Beautiful monitor. I’ve been looking for a monitor that can do a little of everything and this is widescreen 4k and can be turned into a 16/9 4k 37 inch monitor if the game doesn’t support wide screen with black bars on the side. It can be a little difficult to run the 5k/2k or ultra wide 4k resolution at high frame rates and I have a 4090. The monitor feels very good quality with the metal stand. Audio is also terrible so I don’t even see why they bothered including built in audio. I do think it could be better tho if the screen was glossy which is why I’m going with 4/5.

This is the pinnacle of gaming monitors in 2025. Thing is an absolute unit. Picture is amazing, refresh rate is amazing, couldnt hype this thing up enough. If your on the fence about this monitor, do it, 100% worth the money!

Had the older one that was 3440x1440 and I loved it. This one being the first real 4k ultrawide was a no-brainer upgrade. Loving it so far. A lot sharper than a 1440p ultrawide. It also came with some nice quality-of-life improvements such as a USB-C port with 90 watt power delivery and DisplayPort so I can plug my MacBook into it very easily with one cable.
A Massive Upgrade – LG 5K2K UltraGear OLED Deliver

I recently upgraded from my LG UltraGear 39-inch OLED monitor to the new LG 5K2K UltraGear OLED, and the difference is nothing short of stunning. From the moment I powered it on, I could tell this was a serious leap forward.
Gaming has never looked better—every title I play now feels more immersive, fluid, and visually rich. The higher resolution takes full advantage of my RTX graphics card, delivering crisp detail and vibrant colors that truly elevate the experience.
But it’s not just about gaming. Productivity has also seen a noticeable boost. The increased screen real estate and pixel density make multitasking a breeze, and text clarity is razor-sharp, which makes long work sessions much easier on the eyes.
If you're considering a monitor upgrade, I highly recommend the LG 5K2K UltraGear OLED. It’s a game-changer in every sense.

I would give this monitor 4.5 stars if possible, but it is missing just enough to not justify 5 stars. The display is great, and the HDR is excellent. Additionally, the 800R curvature is not as severe at this size as I was expecting it to be. However, this monitor has two problems for me.
First, the monitor sits too high on the included stand. The lowest possible setting still leaves the bottom of the chin about 3.5 inches off the desk. This feels just a little too high for my usual setup, but it is not a deal breaker.
Second, the 165Hz refresh is simply insufficient for a monitor in this price range. I ran a Samsung Odyssey OLED 4K and an Alienware AW3225QF prior to this monitor, and the drop from 240Hz to 165Hz is significantly more noticeable than I expected. This is really disappointing since there are many esports and older games that top-tier GPUs such as the 4090/5090 are easily capable of pushing at or above the 240Hz level, or even just above 165Hz.
I would absolutely buy this monitor again, but I will also be jumping to the newer models as soon as the 2nd-gen, smaller 240Hz models release.

Great monitor, but after six months, this weird line appeared on my monitor. It's funny because when the monitor is on, it's 100% perfect. I contacted LG, and they sent a technician to my house. I'll update after the appointment. (Black screen only)

Man this thing is pretty and nice if you mostly game. The refresh rate is a bit low but since I put all my money into this and not a 5090... is not like I can drive more than 165 anyways. Absolutely gorgeous monitor. Grabbed it during BF sale and sure glad I did.
My only issue is that I was told I could get the protection plan by using the chat or calling in anytime in the 60 day window but when I tried both they couldn't do it... So now I got to go back into the store and hope they can figure it out there.

I’ve had my eyes on this big guy for a couple of months but never went for it because I was skeptical of the too many good reviews online… But then, I saw that my local Best Buy had one unit on display. Fast forward to the next day, I decided to stop by and quickly realized that this was all a big mistake. It was a trap!!! Needless to say, I walked out of the store 15 minutes later with a box that forced me to lower my back seats. It has been two weeks since then and I can easily say that this is the best monitor I’ve had in the last 15+ years. The perfect blacks, The sharpness, the brillant colors. Truly immersive. Ridiculous at first on how enormous it is, but you quickly get used to it and there is no going back. This monitor ain’t for peasants!

Nice addition to my pc. 5k monitor with a nice refresh rate that makes playing games feel smooth. Could be priced better but its worth the bang for your buck if you want to go all out on your build.

I have tried tons of ultrawide monitors. I wanted to love this monitor especially since it finally went on sale. The size and 21:9 aspect ratio is almost too immersive. There is a lot going on in FPS games if you sit 3-4 feet from the monitor. I don't get motion sickness but it can be distracting especially with the 800R curve. For me, 1000R is about the max I like. I also find I prefer the QD-OLED Samsung offers to the WOLED that LG provides. I wanted to love it, but ended up preferring the 49" G93SD. Oddly enough the pixel density is fairly close and the LG is 2160P VS 1440P. My suggestion is try them both, since BB offers easy returns.

I have been using a Samsung Neo G9 for the better part of the year. However I immediately had a dead pixel. Support was a pain. And I wrote off Samsung displays, I will never by another Samsung display ever again. So when this was released I was very curious about the added height but shortened length compared to the Neo G9.
While the Neo G9 I think is a great display, Samsungs QC and support let it down. While LG TV's and displays have never given me even a single pixel issue in 5+ years. Only took Samsung 4 days to get a stuck pixel.
The LG 5k I do wish was just a tad wider. But any wider a resolution and even my 5080 graphics card struggles to give me 120+ fps in 4k. What I find most interesting is that most people complain about LG going with a matte finish but I actually find it glossy compared to true matte finishes like the Samsung. But it's not full gloss like LG TV's. So I call this semi gloss and I love it. Really helps with the reflections while letting the OLED panel quality come thru. I absolutely recommend this monitor.

I can’t say enough about this monitor. The colors are so vibrant. I only wish there was a remote or something to switch inputs without reaching behind the monitor. I have my docking station hooked up to it, and my laptop connected to that. I have my. Switch 2 and Ps5 directly connected to the display and I absolutely love it!!

Simply the best "no compromises" monitor. I had the 1440p version of the 45" LG OLED, which I loved, but this pretty much does everything that that one did, but better! I do 80% work, 20% gaming, and the PPI on this thing and vertical height has been an amazing upgrade. I really can't get over it.

I absolutely love this monitor. The 45" size is perfect-it wraps around your whole field of view without being too overwhelming. The colors are insane since it's OLED, and everything feels super smooth. If you're looking for a serious upgrade for your setup, just get it.

Incredible monitor. I got it with a major discount, but it was worth every penny
Using this thing feels like looking through a window, definitely the end game monitor.
The dual mode is perfect for switching between competitive games and relaxation.
