basic 4k, Blu-ray and cd player with hi res audio that pairs nicely with a lg 4k tv and the 4.1 high res speaker set. there is no Wi-Fi so if you want that don't buy this. wanted a 4k player that up scales Blu-ray, this does and they look better than my PS3. 4k movies look fantastic. Make sure you get a good quality 4k hdmi to hook it to tv.

I was having trouble with my Xbox one x skipping while playing 4K movies and decided to pick up another 4K player to take the load off. I got this on sale and could not be happier with the price and the product. I have tested several movies on this player and can say its actually an improvement over the Xbox One X (which I also still love) and is definitely worth the money. Yeah its not a smart player but do you really need everything to play Netflix?

This is a very solid 4K player. Yes...it’s simple and doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles...but it does the job I need it to do, and that is... play 4K movies! And the fact that it was on sale when I bought it made for an excellent value. I highly recommend this 4K player for viewers who just want something simple that doesn’t take a major learning curve to operate.

I just purchased my 1st 4K DVD, and I was amazed at the quality of the picture. It appears to upscale my regular DVD to near 4K as well. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Just got this for 89$ from best buy set it up works awesome beautiful picture in 4k and upscale Blu ray to near 4k very well, so far I'm very happy with the player even though no wifi but was able to update player by using ether net cable port for first time set up don't need apps on the player as I have smart TV and Roku 4k stick just needed a 4k player to play my disc's and that is what it does and very well great job LG for making a stand alone simple but awesome 4k player I highly recommend it

This blu ray player does everything that you want a player to do...play 4K discs and everything else. It does this function extremely well. This player DOES NOT have a wi fi connection, nor apps. Given that most of us akready have smart Tvs, Rokus, Apple Tv, Chromecast, etc, this functionality is not missed. The price is right too. Well done LG. If you just need a 4K player, seriously look at this unit.

Easy to setup and use. Picture and instructions helpful and playback of DVDs great.

My old Sony DVD player had died and I was looking for a replacement. This LG Blu-ray player was on sale for $99 - crazy cheap, right? But I read the reviews and took a chance. It is fantastic! Easy to set up (I purchased an HDMI cable at the same time) and I was watching a DVD in 5 minutes. I can’t get over how good my regular dvd’s look on this player. I would definitely recommend it.

Paired easily with my Sony x900c tv, plays uhd with vibrant visuals, great audio output - still supports Optical TOSlink for surround sound audio! Remote and onscreen menus are very basic and simple but easy to navigate. This unit is not a smart device so no online streaming applications or WiFi functionality. Great player and upscale all dvd and Blu-rays to 4K resolution.

I lucked out and found an open box on the shelf for 113 if it’s already low price of 129 from other 4K players. This is not a streaming upscaler but an actual 4K with HDR, wide spectrum gamma player. Connected it to my sharp 4K tv and watched infinity wars on it. The colors were vibrant and the darks played through well. Definitely recommend this if looking for a dedicated player.

This does exactly what I wanted - plays 4k movies, and it does it well. There are no smart apps, which is what I wanted since I have smart apps on my TV, gaming consoles, media sticks, etc. The unit runs silent.

It’s a simple 4k player that plays everything from dvds to ultra hds. Simple because of the fact that it is not wifi enabled but can be connected via wired LAN. And connecting means it is just for the purpose of updating firmware. So obviously no wifi streaming available with this. But if you just want play dvds and ultra hds without the complications of having options of streaming services on the menu, then this would be perfect for you.

This plays 4k discs perfectly and is quite a bit cheaper than other players. It's annoying that it doesn't have WiFi, but you don't need internet access to play discs. I connected it at first to download the latest firmware, and after that I unplugged it, moved it where I wanted it, and started watching movies. I plan on connecting it periodically to stay up to date on firmware.

Priced very well for what you get in quality and performance - easy setup and a very easy product to use

Got on clearance, this is the best deal on a 4k Blu-ray player you'll find. No Wi-Fi or smart apps which is great because I already have 2 other devices that carry "smart" features plus the TV itself. Great idea by LG to strip that all out to make an affordable 4k Blu-ray player for everyone.

I replaced an standard DVD player with this unit and have been very surprised at the dramatic improvement in the picture. Like the controls on the front of the unit and its low profile which allows the player to sit right under the TV.

I got this when it was on sale for $80 and honestly I'm tempted to pick up another one before the sale ends! The menu screen is very bare bones and it requires a lan cable to connect to the internet instead of having the option for wifi, that I can tell anyway, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. However, the player works exactly as I expect and I have no other issues with. The picture quality is fantastic!

Went with LG on my 4K setup (I usually am a Samsung guy) and I regret it not one little bit. Amazing TV combined with a great LG Soundbar and this phenomenal DVD player rounded out my system nicely. Watched my first 4K movie on it the other day (Wonder Woman) and it was incredible!! Highly recommend this DVD player... makes all my DVDs look better.

Great 4K 3-D picture just like in the movies.I would highly recommend it very basic does not have Wi-Fi or apps that are currently on my TV set so they’re not needed. Great price point. This will go great with the LG sound bar & the LG 3D Flat screen TV all purchased at Best Buy’s w/ Geek Squad service warranty gives me peace of mind !

I bought this unit for the price, when I bought my LG OLED TV a few years ago, the 4K players were just coming out at a whopping $499.99, yeah, NO WAY. I bought a Samsung 3D blu Ray player, I LOVE the 3d. I now own this unit and I have to say, this is so much easier to use and the picture and sound is sooooooooooo amazing, Love this unit
