When my pixel finally quit I decided to come back to LG and see what had happened. This phone is a very solid choice. The screen is great and the phone has great specs. The size isn't so big that you can't type properly. But the skin over the android OS is not so great and you won't be receiving updates like the pixel. If you get this on sale, it's worth picking up but there are definitely better choices out there.

This phone has too many apps already on it, which makes the actual GB available at only 40GB. Other than that it's a good LG phone. The SD card slot is very hard to navigate also. Too expensive.

My second LGV40 replacement died a few weeks ago. Just will not power on. Zero physical damage and not water damage. Always kept in a case with a screen protector. LG Customer Service is not the worst but it is up there. I thought I would give LG a shot but from the 1st few weeks I had the phone I knew it was a mistake. 2 Year Promise is a joke. When the phone worked it was great. Took the phone to Sprint/T-Moblie Store and they could not get it to do anything and just offer to sell me another phone. I have never had a phone die on me. Still have a working Iphone4s and various Microsoft Windows phones that still work. Even one that I dropped in a pool. Come on LG get it together.

In my honest opinion if your looking for a camera and love to take manual photos - id go with Samsung.... I'm still messing around with this and ive had it a month or so and .... It gets static and echos badly. Its so bad. I can barely use the phone for what it is for. To make phone calls...whats strange is. This issue is intermitten. Ive had this ph for less than a year. Went from lg6 to this v40thinq. Loved the lg6. Ive tried everything to fix. Including a factory reboot. It didnt help. Sadly. Shopping for a new phone now. Im done with LG Phones. All the other functions work well.

A comforting back up.

I would never expect a phone to replace a Pro camera. When needed it is a comfort to know that I have it. Sometimes it will really surprise you with the results. I use my phone mostly with a headset for hands free if need be when shooting. Voice quality a and clarity have not been an issue. I am very satisfied with this back up camera and phone quality.
