    KISS's Best Comeback Album

In 1983, KISS took off their makeup for the first time, and released this album simultaneously. After turning to metal with Creatures of the Night, KISS picked up guitarist Vinnie Vincent as a full member of the band. Vinnie wrote or co-wrote 8 of the 10 songs on this album, and he does a very good job. The album basically picks up where Creatures left off, although this one experiments more with hair metal. The first three tracks are fantastic, as well as "All Hell's Breakin' Loose." The track "Lick it Up" has become one of KISS's signature songs and they perform it to this day. Overall, this is one of the band's most solid efforts, and shows KISS was really trying to transform their image. Fans of the original KISS lineup may not like the 80's rock and glam metal sound, but it is worth a listen. This album is probably KISS's best attempt at a comeback in their 40-year history.

This album (along with Creatures of the Night and Animalize) are criminally underrated! ...Songs are very catchy and memorable and some heavy riffs ala Vinnie Vincent, who turned out to be a great fit for the band, too bad he didn't stick with Kiss for more than 2 albums.

I love the faster pace tempo of this album. Vinny did bring a real edge to the band and Eric's double bass skills were shown off.

As with all the other Kiss remasters, this album sounds great. I'm happy I added it to my collection. No complaints here!
