I bought this for a buddy of mine and he absolutely loved it. He is a huge bloodborne fan and he said it gave him nostalgic bloodborne vibes. So if any of you are a fan of bloodborne, this might be a game worth playing.

I was excited for this game the moment it was announced. I pre-ordered and am so glad i did. Easily becoming one of my favorite games, ive got 90 hours in and am still loving it. The story is wonderful and challenging. Its a great soulslike game, and incredibly well done. Some of the combat is a little clunky, but still totally worth it.

For someone who wants to get into soulslike type games, this is a fantastic place to start. Fantastic story telling, graphics and performance were great day one. Challenging but fair combat with fair learning curve for new comers to the genre!!! Highly recommended

This games has been a ton of fun so far! It's a souls-like and the areas remind me of resident evil. The combat takes a little getting used to, but once you have it down it becomes a ton of fun!

Far and away the best Soulsborne game around. The developers put time, care; and source material into the game. Combat is fluid; bosses and enemies are hard as nails; and its a welcomed experience for New Players and Veterans alike. Praise the Sun!

I love the Soulsbourne astetic and gameplay can be engaging. It’s definitely a difficult game at times, but much easier to handle than Elden Ring or Armored Core 6. The story is definitely interesting to get emerced in and the bosses are very stylized and interesting to confront. A must have if you’re a Soulsbourne enthusiast.

My first souls like! Amazing gameplay. Combat is a mix of Sekiro sword play and blocking and Dark souls pace. Amazing graphics, soundtrack and story setting.

The world and story of this game are richly detailed, nuanced and fully engrossing. The characters inhabiting are incredibly drawn with such sensitivity and many of the character’s backstories moved me so much, that it gave me chills a number of times. And some of the bosses in this game will likely have you screaming at your screen after sinking more time than you’d like into beating them. Ultimately I was surprised by how much it made me think about what it means to be human, and I hope others feel the same way after this experience.

This game was awesome. Its like if bloodborne and sekiro had a baby in a world of killer puppets. This game is very fun and a must have.

Let me be clear, I hate “souls-like games.” I tried Bloodborne and could not get past the first boss. I haven’t played a game in this genre since Lies of P. This game is so creative and interesting that I’ve pushed through to “get gud” and am happy I’m able to get far. Currently in the swamp lands and cannot stop thinking about this game. It’s most definitely a challenge, but it’s worth the blood, sweat and tears. If you’re even remotely interested, do yourself a favor and pick this up! I’ll never look at Pinocchio the same again.

Overall its a usual dark souls style game where you play, fail, and revive at the nearest checkpoint you found/interacted with last. The actual gameplay though is a mix between dark souls and sekiro where timing blocks rewards you with various things as you kevel up your charachter. The plot is pretty simple, “save us, go here, do that, good boy” but the overall feeling of it was great and interesting.

The best Souls game without the From Software logo

I'm a huge fan of the "Souls" formula that From Software has come up with, starting with Demon's Souls on the PS3 and continuing to improve and expand upon that formula all the way up to Elden Ring. There have been lots of games that have been "inspired by" (see: blatantly copying) From Software's games, but besides Mortal Shell I haven't been able to find any that genuinely FEELS correct. Lies of P does. It's absolutely sublime, but holy moly is it hard.

I'm picky about Soulsborne & Soulslike experiences. This has INSTANTLY become my frontrunner for favorite new Soulslike experience. "Puppet borne" is an apt description, with a Bloodborne-meets-Sekiro gameplay style that also NAILS the atmosphere of a gothic/horror Pinocchio retelling. If you like a real challenge, this game will get its hooks in you, with a setting that will have you wanting to know what's around the next corner
