Okay so I just want to get straight into why I don't care for this speaker. Part of it is that it is in a comparable price bracket with the JBL Charge 3 which has nearly every single feature this speaker has, but also is cheaper, has significantly better audio quality, time and a half the battery life, and is typically cheaper. The one feature that it doesn't have is that it doesn't have the slot where you can put your belongings while your outside. Considering this speaker is primarily targeted for outdoors type people I would expect the volume to be a strong point, but it is actually one of the weakest. As an indoor speaker it is acceptable, but there is no low end on the speaker and was just outclassed by its JBL counterpart. I can't recommend it for beyond indoors usage and even then I would recommend a soundbar or a stereo system at that point within this price range.

Yes it is a waterproof speaker - thats the only plus side I can think about LifeProof - AQUAPHONICS AQ10. - Extremely disappointed with the sound quality. LifeProof has focused on water proofing while completely ignoring sound quality (primary use of a Bluetooth Speaker). - Moderate sound quality if you set it up below 50%. Anything after that will cause distortion. When you pay $200.00 for a BT speaker, you will have a lot of exception about sound quality. Believe me, if you are a sound enthusiastic, do not waste your money on LifeProof - AQUAPHONICS AQ10. I thought my amazon echo had the bad sound quality until I had a chance to use LifeProof - AQUAPHONICS AQ10.

Sounds like any midsize Chinese bluetooth speaker. Waterproofing is nice but most of them have it now too. The real "feature" of this is the waterproof compartment for your sound device, but it won't fit a phone (I tried every one I had including an old 3 inch screen one). Not worth the price.
