What a fabulous Bluetooth speaker. So far I have used this speaker extensively in my pool and I just let it float around while I float near it. The sound quality is very good (you can clearly hear lyrics from the music at least 50-75 feet away). Pairing up my mobile phone was extremely easy and it the speaker was around 85% charged upon unboxing. Battery life is stellar, at a whopping 15+ hours. As mentioned earlier, it will float and it’s submersible for around 30 minutes if it does indeed go completely under water. Dust, dirt, and snow proof to an extent. On the bottom of the speaker is a compartment that is big enough to fit credit cards and my iPhone 7+ (without a case on the phone) of which is waterproof, snowproof, dirt, and dust proof! This speaker has been invaluable to me on my kayaking trips as well. I just bungee cord it to my kayak and my group of 15 people all float down the river with me and are able to hear this BT speaker playing all day long with no issues!! Highly recommend this!!!

It works great. But I wish it had a digital read out to show on/off, volume level, and which input is being accessed.

I received this speaker in exchange for a review. One of the selling points of this speaker is the fact that it is made by LifeProof and carries features that live up to the name. It is waterproof, dust proof, drop proof and it floats. I gave those features a test and was impressed with the product. First off, how does this device perform as a speaker? It can put out a lot of sound, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The audio quality over Bluetooth was good as well. Despite being so rugged, the case didn’t muffle the sound at all. The wireless range is good, too, so you don’t need to have your phone or music player right next to the speaker. Another feature I appreciate is that the volume controls work in sync with the connected device. Increasing the volume on my phone increased the volume on the speaker, and changing the volume from the speaker also affected my phone. I can’t say that about every Bluetooth speaker I’ve used. I found it easy to pair with multiple devices. I wouldn’t rate it as the loudest speaker I’ve ever heard, but it is very good none the less. The build quality of the speaker is great. It is made of sturdy plastic and rubber and looks sleek. The control buttons on the top are large and easy to use. The squared edges make it possible to stand on end or lay flat. There are handles on either side that make it easy to grip and carry around. On one side is the power button and a toggle switch to lock the controls. The other side has the charging port, an audio in port and a USB out port for charging devices. These ports can be protected by a cover that snaps into place and can be easily removed. When fully charged, this speaker can be used for an advertised 15 hours. With use over about a week, I can believe that claim. The bottom of the speaker has a built in dry box for storing keys, electronics or anything else of about that size. I was able to fit my iPhone 7 Plus in the dry box and close and seal the cover if I removed the slip on case I was using. So, most phones should be able to fit in the dry box. There is a slight indentation in the box as well as more space in the cover door which means this can actually store more than just a phone. The inside of the dry box is covered in a grippy rubber material, so items shouldn’t move around as much. When closed and latched, the dry box does its job of keeping contained items dry. You do have to remember to push the latch all the way forward to complete the seal, however. It could be very useful for outdoor use. Finally, on the inside of the dry box, there is a USB and audio port if you can fit a cable in with your device. If I had to list any cons about this speaker, it would be that the included charging cable doesn’t come with any kind of LifeProof branding. It looks like any other AC adapter, so you’ll have to remember which one is for this device. Overall this is a good speaker with great added features for outdoor use and waterproofing. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a rugged, waterproof speaker.

This is one of the better wireless speakers I have ever used. Great to use inside and outside. Pairing it to my iPhone was quick and easy, ready to go out of the box in a couple minutes. I forgot to take my phone out of my pocket while listening to music and was able to go 50 feet away from the speaker before it started to cut out on me. The sound quality is great, rich and full! I have enjoyed listening to music for hours at a time while working around the house and working on the computer. I really enjoy using this Lifeproof wireless speaker. I tested the water tightness and to see if it actually would float if it fell off a boat, or was dropped into a body of water and float it did! I made sure to test it with out storing my phone in the dry box, using a paper towel inside in place of the phone. I also checked to see that the dry box was sealed and the cover over the charging port was sealed tight before dropping into the pool. The dry box storage was totally dry inside, however the seals to keep water out of the charging port failed allowing A LOT of water into the area. Fortunately, I was able to dry the area and there appears to be no damage to the charging port. Overall this wireless speaker does a great job and puts out a lot of sound to enjoy music inside, outside, on a boat, at the beach, or by the pool!

It sounded loud in the store but once outside you could barely hear it.

I bought this to use at the beach with out the worries of it getting wet. Works great. Sound is great.

This is a larger sized Bluetooth speaker that pairs very easily with any Bluetooth device and you are ready to go. Sound quality is what you would expect from a speaker this size, there is more bass when compared to the smaller Lifeproof AQ 10 which is more than adequate for my use. And you can drop it, wet it, use it at the beach (uh it floats!) take a conference call or other phone calls with it AND there is a "dry box" area in the bottom that seals from the elements to put your money, credit cards keys etc in while you at the beach or pool...this is my 12 year olds go to shower speaker so it's basically getting wet for way too long and can take it with no issues, I can attest to that. Also, you can use it for almost 15 hours! Or use it to charge your phone and you may get less time but you have the Peace of Mind knowing you have a battery back up for your phone while away from home. Overall it's what you need to have musical fun in the summer (and other times of the year too).

I bought this for my father for Christmas and he loves it

This Bluetooth speaker has it all! It is waterproof, drop proof, it floats, it has great Bluetooth connectivity, it has long battery life, and the sound isn't bad either. What I like most about this speaker is that it is easy to use and versatile. You can take it with you wherever you go and it is easy to grip and carry because of the shape and the handles. You also don't have to worry about protecting it from the elements. If you are listening outside and it starts to rain - no worries. If you have it near the pool or on a boat, you don't have to worry about it getting wrecked. Also, the controls are large and easy to use. By hitting the forward and back buttons it takes control of your phone or tablet and will skip the next song, pause or change the volume. The sound is also pretty good. Because the speaker is completely sealed I was worried that the sound would be muffled or dampened. That is not the case. In fact, the sound is comparable to other speakers in its class. With that said, I would point out that the sound is not as high quality as speakers that focus only on high sound quality, but with all the other options on this speaker I think it is a great tradeoff and the overall benefit of the speaker is well worth it. Are there any negatives about this speaker? I've thought about this for a while and there are no real negatives that I can point out.

I love this speaker because it is waterproof and it floats

The size of this speaker is glorious. It will compete with lower end soundbars, but it is portable and has a great many features. It does include the common ports for a speaker including an AUX in for running a headphone cable into the speaker, but Bluetooth works great on the speaker. One of my only complaints about the speaker is that the 0.5 amp doesn't manage to charge my phone while the 1.0 amp does so it makes the charging port in the covered shield doesn't work. Maybe on a different phone, but not on my Pixel which isn't a large phone. The other complaint that I have is that the charging port for the AQ11 is an AC adapter port so it's not a standardized port meaning if you need an extra charger it's going to be much more difficult than if it was Micro USB or USB Type C. The audio on this speaker is rich and very full. Among the best that I've heard on a Bluetooth Speaker. I listened to several types of music, and I was very impressed with everything that I heard. You really must experience it for yourself. I can easily see the speaker carrying sound outside. Give it a consideration if you need a all-purpose speaker that holds up well in the outdoors.

it could go a little louder but other that its perfect

I have totally enjoyed this product. It produces clean clear sound and is very nice to listen to. It has a large size which may help with the ability to fill larger spaces with sound. Also, I have noticed that it sounds good in outdoor spaces quite a bit further away than other smaller speakers. On the plus side: Good clean sound Grab handles on the ends Can be set horizontally or vertically (great for a picnic table when there is limited space) The dry box rocks. Fits my phone perfectly The only down side is the charger is not USB. Just when I thought I wouldn't need another cord in my electronics bag now I need to keep this in mind to keep the music going when I am on the run. All in all, this is a little pricy but the features make it worthwhile for me.

Use it on my quad when I go 4 wheeling. Very rugged

What I like the most about this unit is it's weight, it looks heavier than that it is. Weighing in at only 4 kilos without storing anything in the dry box. You'll get 13 -15 hours of use playing music half that if you need to charge your devices. Yes this speaker can also help charge your phone or tablet while your traveling or soaking up the sun at the beach. Another nice feature is the ability to strap this speaker outside your backpack using the loop holes on the exterior. Where ever your travels take you, rest assure that you'll have a good time with the ability to charge your devices and listen to some tunes.
