My son was hounding me to get this, I finally gave in and bought it on a Friday night and put it on Sat morning. That afternoon, as my wife had just drove up the the road, my son looked like he saw a ghost. He said "dad, I think I left my iPod on mom's bumper when I was playing basketball." I called her and told her to gently pull over. It was not on the bumper so she retraced her steps. She saw it at a intersection and frantically tried to stop traffic so she could get it. As she did, she actually saw a car run over it! She then picked it up and other than a few scratches, nothing was wrong! I could not believe it! This REALLY HAPPENED and I would STRONGLY recommend this case. (I sent the same email to Lifeproof the day it happened)

Case works under water, very good for people with small children who like to bite everything and throw everything. My 1 yo has thrown my iPod while in my LifeProof case, dropped it in the water, chewed on it, and tried to put a key in it. This case has protected my iPod through it all!! There is a slight rainbow swirl on the front of the case, but that's it. It works through everything!

Very good case. Put the waterproof case to the test and it passed with no problems. Also dropped a few times without damage.

I like this case because it had a clear back and I could show the color of the ipod I purchaced. I don't care so much for the seal for the front of the screen; however, it does help with not making the case so bulky like most cases. The worse part about the case is the headphone jack. I don't like the fact that I have to screw that small cord in in order for the headphones to fit. I also feel it was expensive. Especially since u only get two plain colors to go on the front. It's inconvenient and it cost more money if you want to replace the front cover which is an adhesive sticky cover that seals the screen in and "keeps water out". I won't dare try to see how accurate that is. I will say the case does look nice at least especially with the color showing in the back. I mean why buy a ipod with color if your going to buy a case to cover the color.

I purchased the LifeProof 1501-01 case for my son's iPod Touch, 5th Gen. There are some positive features about this case (lightweight, sturdy, sleek), but there are some negative aspects as well. The design includes a thin plastic film/cover with an adhesive back. This is a good design from a waterproofing standpoint (it's also very lightweight), but once the adhesive film is attached to the case, there's no easy way to remove the iPod. Although the design had a fairly even number of pros and cons, unfortunately the power button on this particular case didn't align properly with the power button on the iPod. It was so misaligned that it was necessary to force the iPod forward in the case (by pressing very firmly on the back) while simultaneously pressing the power button in order to make contact. The force required was enough to make me nervous about using the case. A quick web search revealed a few similar concerns, but it looked like it was a defect in specific cases and not the design itself. In addition, it looked like LifeProof web monitors found and responded to the posts--kind of cool. I would have given the LifeProof 1501-01 4 stars if the power button hadn't been an issue; I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the adhesive cover.

Good protection for my ipod touch. Very light and not bulky at all. Little pricey, but most cases are.

Not sure if it will be 100% waterproof (I will not try it) but it is a very slick and good looking case that protects against rain, minor spills, crash,... You could not open and close de case since the screen protector is a film that sticks onto the case

This case is lightweight, clear black colored, and fits iPod very well! Perfect for teenagers! Keeps iPod protected well from getting dropped. I feel better about spending the money for the case when I know it protects the iPod well!!

I thought this case would be like he iPhone life proof case but it is not totally. There are not two hard plastic parts, only the back is made of hard plastic and the front is a strong thin cover like a screen protector that sticks to creat a water proof seal. It is probably water proof I am not as confident though. Either way it is a very good case for protection.

Pleased with protection and water resistance. A few steps to install but not too difficult. A bit pricey but good protection.

We love that if done properly, the case is waterproof. We were disappointed that it wasn't more like the iPhone cases! But other than that, it has proved multiple times that it is waterproof. We are pleased with this case!

Bought this to cover my two-year-old's iPod. Great protection so far (6weeks). Similar to the protection of the phone case. The only downside is that you cannot frequently remove the case because it gives you to screen shields that are not removable, one time use screen covers.

My kids have dropped the iPod and nothing happened to the screen or iPod didn't break. I also love that it's water Proof. This product is amazing and easy to put on. Does not make your iPod feel heavy or bulky. Doesn't hide the color of you iPod like the LifeProof for the iPhone5 does. I'm very happy with this product.

I love this protective case because it is tough enough to help protect my device, yet Lightweight and clear enough to let the nice color (red) of my IPod shine through. Not cheep, but the best one for what I needed at the time.

Used this to cover my daughter's ipod. It protects it quite well. My only complaint is the thin adhesive screen that covers the front. It bubbles and doesn't look good, but doesn't really affect functionality.

I purchased this case because I was going kayaking for the first time and wanted to take pictures but I didn't feel comfortable using my iPhone. I fell in the river and lost my iPod. It floated in the river for two days before it was found and returned to me. There wasn't a drop of water in my iPod and it works perfectly. I haven't experienced any issues with it at all and its been well over a month since it was lost. I most definitely recommend this case.

I bought this case as protection for my 6th generation iPod Touch. For and finish is on spot and the case itself shows well. All ports and fit and finish is top rate. I have the black version of this case. However, the case is rather expensive and of course there are cheaper options but if you prefer quality and protection then this is the case to get.

Pros: great protection case! Cons: the screen protector doesn't go on w/o leaving a 'rainbow swirl' pattern under it. It makes it difficult to see the screen at certain angles/light.

Hey this is cheaper than insurance for your iPod. I dropped it into the pool (shallow end) and my iPod still works! Great to have anywhere things get wet. (Says not to go more than 6 feet deep though). Was planning on taking this for snorkeling but haven't tried it yet.
